I had an absolutely amazing solo stay at this hotel. The location is beautiful and very peaceful, yet perfectly situated for exploring nearby attractions like the Tombs of the Kings, Coral Bay, and Corallia Beach. I booked a room with a sea view, and it was breathtaking.
The room itself was spacious, spotlessly clean, and featured a large balcony with two chairs and a table. Housekeeping did a wonderful job every single day, keeping everything fresh and tidy. The bathroom was also clean, modern, and very comfortable to use. If I had to mention one tiny area for improvement, it's that there were occasionally minor stains on the sheets (though they clearly came straight from the laundry and were clean).
The facilities here are top-notch. I made great use of the 24-hour reception, the pools, and the incredible natural lagoon. The lagoon has clear, crystal-blue water that is perfect for snorkeling, and there is a safe entry/exit point into the sea, complete with warning flags when the water gets too rough. Everything around the pools and common areas is cleaned daily. There is also great daily entertainment, a volleyball court, darts, and several bars (including a nice pool bar and a pub).
The service is outstanding—the staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to help. As for the food, it was excellent and very extensive! The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of breads, cereals, sweet and savory toppings, and a large salad bar. The hot buffet items are kept perfectly warm and refilled constantly, and they even do live meat carving (like fresh ham) and offer a great dessert selection. While the core options are consistently good, they add a slightly different culinary twist every day of the week. Drinks are self-serve at breakfast, but beautifully taken care of by the staff during lunch and dinner.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cyprus, especially if you want a great, comfortable base to tour around!
Great hotel, super friendly staff and the food is also amazing! I felt more than welcome here!
This was my 8th visit to Paphos and 1st time at Cynthiana beach hotel. Fabulous situation on a peninsular with sea views all round. Rooms very comfortable and good size with large fridge and balcony. Food at all meals was very varied and delicious. Inside restaurant and outdoor one which had a specific area for smokers. This was appreciated. Every evening I sat on the balcony of bar for stunning sunsets as I sipped a cocktail. All staff very approachable, friendly and helpful….English well spoken. All staff, from Manager to housekeeping staff, excellent but I don’t remember many names. Only Head Barmaid Aphrodite and colleague Maria are names I remember. I spoke with Manager and made a couple of suggestions and he was going to look into these. The evening entertainment was very good and enjoyable. When music was played it was still possible to have conversation with other guests. A choice of 3 places to enjoy a lounger with umbrella - by the sea, by the pool and on the grassed area and there was never a shortage. All in all I had a wonderful experience here both physically and spiritually and hope to return. Thanks to all the staff. 👏👏😎❤️
Cant fault the resort. Very clean. Well laid out. Rooms amazing. We had first floor in main building with lovely sea view. Kept clean and stocked by room keepers. Plenty of sunbeds available everyday. But resort was quite of booked guests. Which we personally loved. Restraint is well staffed and always on the ball to serve you. Loukas the team leader was very on top of his servers. The main bar was worked by lovely people. Aphrodite Maria Alex and a few others. You sit at chosen table and they serve you from there. We will definitely return in future. We'll done management for running a splendid resort
This is a very high standard 3 star hotel. I thought it was 4 stars by the standard. When we arrived and were in the last block we were a bit disappointed but were soon converted by having our own pool with plenty of sunbeds. We only had bed and breakfast and can understand why people stay AI. Saying that the drinks were not expensive - 5 euros for 2 pints. Breakfast was plentiful. The best thing is the location - it’s beautiful. The staff are amazing and work really hard and the whole place is spotless. We chose to hire a car and get out and about but there are local buses. They have evening entertainment- the Cypriot dancers were the best . It’s very hot - so plenty of sun screen required. The taverna next door was great if you don’t stay AI and there is a beach restaurant about 30 mins slow stroll along the promenade. It’s definitely worth the money and no wonder so many people return year after year
