TERRIBLE, do not go there

Wil make it short: the reception is more kind of a dirty storage room / garage. The apartment was super dirty! Toilets dirty (I doubt they have been cleaned), same with the whole bathroom (we found an already used soap and toothpaste tube). I am praying that I did not catch any bacteria while staying there. The towels have probably never seen a washing machine. We moved out after the second night. The TV was broken (literally broken screen), Wifi not working. The whole place is very run down, no effort put in maintaining the apartments.. The curtains looked like a dog would have torn them apart. The view was nice. But you need a car.

Safe your money and don't go there!

Avoid at al all cost

We visited this resort 4 years ago and on arrival we were upgraded to a lovely spacious apartment. We had a very pleasant stay at the time. We were so pleased with the quality of the apartment that two years later we booked again and paid top dollar for their “deluxe” accommodation. On arrival we were ushered into a dingy and grubby apartment far from deluxe quality and nothing like the pictures. We checked out immediately and found a lovely villa just down the road. Clearly if you read the mixed bag of reviews this resort has some nice properties, however it is also very evident that it has some shockers. It’s an absolute lottery as to what you will be offered. Best advice is to stay well away.

TripAdvisor Review
The manager is strange.

Now unlike the other reviews my stay wasn't too bad. The apartment was pretty nice and spacious and looked clean. My only real problem was the manager, a man named Afnan who was overly friendly to the point of unprofessionalism and at times creepiness. You have to understand that at the beginning everything was okay, like yes the reception was super run down and the TV didn't work but these were things I didn't plan on visiting or using a lot. Now when me and my sister first met him, he seemed like a nice guy someone who I thought might be a bit lonely, but the red flags didn't start until me and my sister were a bit lost at night and I had asked for the taxi number he'd recommended to us earlier that day using the phone number he gave me. It was all normal stuff during that whole thing, but when we had arrived back at the hotel he'd started messaging me late night talking about himself and send pictures. After that he asked me what time me and my sister would be going to bed and waking up and at the time I thought well he must be asking because he probably wants to turn off the electricity and stuff ( the hotel has a key in which the electricity can be turned off when taken out of its socket and the shower has a switch which turns off the heating) so I lied and told him I would be awake until 4am as I had exams next week and was therefore studying and wake up at 8am (something which looking back on the next day made incredibly paranoid to the point I had put a chair in front of the door) . So I went to sleep a little unsettled but not too alarmed, it was only the next day when things really ramped up. He'd sent me a good morning message and later that afternoon asked whether I would want some of the food he was making, I said no as I thought it incredibly weird but he was strangely insisting even after I had told him I would be unable to walk to his apartment (which was next to the reception office) due to the sprained ankle I had from waking around in the dark the day before and told me he would just bring it over. Later that day when my light broke and I had to text him to come and replace it, he was again super insisting with his offer to which I again said no. He kept loitering about in my apartment, and offered me painkillers so I could walk to his apartment for the food and wanted ne to take a walk him outside. When I told him no again he replied that my sister had already taken up the offer of food which not only me infuriated me with her but also with him as he clearly told me this to imply I had no choice but to go to his place. That night I walked my sister over to receive the food, when we arrived he had wanted us to dine with him as he thought the walk back too cold, I declined his offer and told him we were used to much colder weather in fact and that it was only a short distance away. I could tell he was not happy with that answer from his face and after gathering the food quickly said our goodbyes and walked back. The next day and after speaking with my mother I had decided that his text were indeed creepy and too invasive, after all I had come to Cyprus to bond with my sister and not too involve a stranger in my affairs after which I ignored all his texts including the good mornings (he even questioned why I hadn't said a good morning back to him as if it were a requirement or demand) and questions for my whereabouts unless I needed him which luckily was only once after. After my my last day when I had finally returned to the UK (the day after), I saw he'd sent another a good morning which I also ignored. The day after that he asked me how I was and after confirming with my sister done the same to her. I'm unsure whether he will continue with these but we collectively decided to ignore or block him. I'm unsure whether he truly was just overly friendly and lonely but considering he'd also put us in the only apartment block with no people when the other holiday residents were together I wasn't in a position to not be cautious myself.

Horror Hotel

Hotel from hell… The place is dirty, unkempt and derelict. It looks as though it has been shut for 10 years. The tiles are all loose on the floor, dust and dirt wherever you look, paint splashes on the floor and walls. Thick limescale behind the shower, dirty bedding and towels. That dirty we’ve had to wash them ourselves. The stairwells to get to the car park and pool are full of spiders and webs, fallen down plaster and paint, dust. The lighting is poor and looks like something from a horror film. When we arrived the first day we found a knife in the car park. There are bin bags and all broken furniture throughout the resort and is just extremely unsafe. The pool has a maximum of 8 sun loungers and one working parasol. The pool has hundreds of missing tiles and limescale on the bottom, we are shocked at just how bad this place is. The cupboards are filled with crumbs and old hairs and have minimal utensils. We would absolutely warn anyone from staying at this hotel, looks nothing like the pictures. Stay well away. It’s in a gorgeous locations and there’s plenty of other lovely hotels and resorts to choose from.

SHOCKING/ DO NOT BOOK HERE

Coral Bay View Resort

DO NOT BOOK !SHOCKING ! What to say about this place! We have stayed here before in 2019 , and we had an amazing apartment with a balcony and everything we needed in the apartment was there. So we decided to come back again to the same resort. We booked the deluxe town house 2 bedroom apartment, with a balcony and access to the top roof. When we first arrived it was just after 11pm. The manager took us to our apartment when we walked it looked nothing like a deluxe apartment. He showed us upstairs bedrooms and said we had no access to the top roff. Before he left we said to him this is not what we booked as this is definitely not deluxe he said to come back the following day to speak to his manager. We did that as it was after 11pm. After he left we had another look around the apartment, They were plastic chairs inside the apartment, the fridge handle was broken, the kettle lid was broken which meant someone nearly got brunt with the water but luckily never still not the point, it was a mess in the cupboard and behind the couch was dirty with rubbish and the couch had a cover over it which we lifted up to see it and it just didn’t look nice. As we have stayed here before we knew what we were expecting what we were not expecting not this. The next day we went to what they called reception all it was a room with a desk , computer , chair and all bits a pieces. Anyway we should him the pictures and asked him to move us to what we booked. He said he will phone his manger and let us know. So we went back to the apartment and sat outside. He came back and said there is nothing they can do as and I fully quote “we are fully booked”. But we said to him we’re not staying in something not is not deluxe as we paid more and we got was a basic apartment. We wanted them to move us and if they couldn’t to clean the apartment. He went away again and came back, said we can go to their sister hotel down near the beach but meant we had to pay 25euors each per night, or we had to cancel. Which if we cancelled we had nowhere to sleep. This company wanted to put 4 women out in Cyprus where they don’t stay alone! It’s shocking!! But they wanted us to pay more money for other apartment, we said we were not paying anymore money and we wanted a refund or at least part refund and for them to move us. He went away and came back. They had another apartment for us that was 2 doors down. So we decided to go with it but wanted to see it first. It was still defo not deluxe but cleaner than the other one. Still we had to take it as nothing else we could’ve done. We still said to him this is not deluxe what we have ordered was less than basic, and we wanted partly our money back as the apartment we were in was not deluxe. We have looked on reviews on every website and can’t believe what we have read about this place we never thought it was true but with the picture we have took I hope no one else goes here again. I will be putting this on everything I can think of. I feel like this place is a scam now. They had potential now the place is falling apart. Even at night there is no lights on the stairs or anywhere you walk around the apartment. One night we were walking down the stairs and one of nearly fell as they were no lights on at all. We have checked out and no one was at reception and when we called got told to leave key at window , we took photo of us leaving incase they have said anything. Do not go here this was very disappointing and I don’t want anyone else wasting there money. The resort wasn’t giving us any refund and told us to contact booking.com their reply to sum it up they couldn’t care less and wasn’t giving us any money. I’ve probably left stuff out but there just so much about coral bay view resort that they list about their facilities which they don’t have. Again DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS PLACE
