An adult hotel, not for kids!

We felt very frustrated with our stay and it has taken me this long to write my feedback.

Unfortunately this hotel felt like an adult only hotel with kids allowed but pushed in corners of the hotel out of sight. The mini disco was awful. The music was too quiet, it was in a conference room at the end of a long corridor. A lady complained one day and then member of staff filmed our kids. I raised this with a lady who worked there and heard nothing back so had to raise this again with the manager. We still do not know why this man was filming our children. There was no where for adults to get a drink or even for children to get water. I asked if it could be moved outside near the stage and was told vu the manager that people dont want kods running about while they are eating. This supports what i was feeling when kids are not really welcome. On an evening there was music in the bar but if you have children you can't sit in there after 9pm. Again, if you have children you sre not welcome in the only bar in the hotel.

The entertainment team were very poor, but this was the fault of the management for not overseeing them. Initially they didn't call out when activities were on, music was too quiet for aqua aerobics. After 11 days we only knew the name of one girl and that is because i had to ask her.

Truthfully, I can't be bothered to go in to it. It was so disappointing. I raised my concerns and offered solutions to the manager. I also complained to the jet2 rep that the hotel was poor. We were offered lunch and alcohol by the general manager, but we didnt want that and he couldnt see that we were there for a family holiday not to be bought with free things. We wanted our daughter to enjoy it but it was not a family hotel.

House keeping and waiting staff work so hard.

My advice to the hotel, make it an adult only one as kids are not really welcome.

5* hotel & grounds, 2* food and drink.

I had to stay here for 1 night and 1 day at the end of August due to a flight cancellation. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and the few staff were polite and helpful. The food & drinks were so poor & the charges for the rooms mini bar so high, we went to a little shop mext door to top up. The Adults only pool was impractical and barely usable, the Adults only section of the restaurant was a complete waste of time as you were just a few feet from lots of very loud childten. We were in a room with a Jacuzzi with broken controls so rarely operated as it should. I love Cyprus but I was very happy to leave this hotel.

Nice Hotel - Need more staff

We stayed at Azia Resort & Spa for 12 nights in August. The hotel is situated about a 20 min drive from the airport between Coral Bay & Pafos. We had a family room (Garden view) with a large King Size bed and 3 single beds. The room was nice although fairly standard (Only one bathroom with shower over bath / one toilet) The hotel has a huge pool (Which was heated) and never felt cramped. It also has a cold indoor pool. Sun loungers were never a problem although you do have to contend with the 8am rush to reserve. We mainly ate on the buffet restaurant on an all inclusive basis. The food was good, different themed night every day and we also ate in the Japanese restaurant which was excellent. However not all of the restaurants were open during our stay, which I think should be mentioned on their website.

What makes this hotel better though than what is listed above is the staff. Despite being obviously short staffed, they go out of their way working incredibly hard to make your stay special. The entertainments team, Natalie & Ollie in particular were amazing working throughout the day on activities from yoga, water aerobics, water polo (the list goes on) ensuring both young and old enjoyed each and every day. They are a credit to the hotel! Additionally the pool bar staff were also brilliant despite it being busy due to a lack of required staff to support the number of guests.

The evening entertainment was good. Word of note though, all drinks are ordered via waiter service at the bars in the evening. Expect to wait at least 15 mins for drinks to arrive (and sometimes they dont turn up at all)

More like a 3-star stay

Overall, we had an okay stay, but for us it felt more like a 3-star experience than anything higher. The resort itself isn’t particularly large and there is really only one main outdoor pool, although it is heated. The buffet choice isn’t as extensive as you might find at some larger resorts, but the food itself was generally quite good. We stayed half board, although drinks are not included with dinner. We were charged €38 for dinner and €4.20 for a Pepsi, which felt on the expensive side. We also tried Cipro. It was okay overall — the lasagne was very salty, although the beef tongue was tender and enjoyable. In terms of amenities - the gym was really poor. The kids club was well run and suitable for younger children. The entertainment team were an asset to the resort, and they work hard throughout the day, without being overwhelming or cringe. Housekeeping was inconsistent. On one day we were out until 3:30pm and the room still hadn’t been cleaned. On another occasion, it wasn’t done until after 9:15pm, despite us mentioning it twice earlier in the evening. Turndown service also seemed very inconsistent. There were a few other service and cleanliness issues too. Rubbish was left around the pool during the day, and a service trolley with food waste was left outside our room for most of the day. On one day we also waited over 30 minutes for towels. There is a card in the rooms stating that unattended sunbeds will be cleared by staff, but this didn’t seem to be enforced. The usual morning sunbed rush still happens, with beds being reserved and then left unattended for long periods. The staff were generally friendly and pleasant. Despite the issues, we felt the stay was fair value for money overall, but the service and attention to detail could definitely be improved.
