Azia Resort & Spa is a well-regarded five-star resort in Cyprus, recognised with multiple awards including TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice 2020 and 2021 and the World Luxury Hotel Award in 2020. It enjoys a peaceful seafront location with sunset views across the Mediterranean, just 180m from a natural golden sandy beach and a short drive from the centre of Paphos.
Set within landscaped gardens, the resort places strong emphasis on sustainability, using natural and recycled materials throughout. Its own 530,000m² plantation supplies fresh produce directly to the on-site restaurants.

Food and drink are a key highlight, with six restaurants and seven bars offering Mediterranean cuisine alongside international favourites. Guests can enjoy buffet and à la carte dining, including outdoor venues for al fresco meals. During selected summer weekends, special gastronomic events are hosted by Michelin-star chefs, using seasonal ingredients, many sourced from the resort’s plantation. A variety of bars and lounges are available, including poolside and adults-only options, along with snack and refreshment points throughout the day.
The facilities at Azia Resort & Spa are extensive, offering something for both families and adults seeking a peaceful escape. Adults-only areas include a dedicated swimming pool with massage jets and water loungers, private garden and sunbathing spaces, adult-focused activities, and an adults-only restaurant (dinner), bar and designated dining time zones. Leisure facilities include an outdoor pool with sun terraces, an indoor pool with waterfall, gym, yoga room, tennis court and table tennis. A golf driving range and mini-golf are located opposite the hotel (additional charge). For families, there are free daily activities (seasonal), Kids’ and Teen clubs, a playground and a children’s spa (payable locally).
Accommodation is modern and comfortable, with all rooms featuring air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, balcony, satellite TV, minibar, tea and coffee facilities, in-room safe and a contemporary en-suite bathroom with amenities and hairdryer. A variety of room types are available, including premium rooms, suites and adult-only options. Guests in Premium and adults-only rooms have access to the Premium Lounge, offering a second breakfast option, afternoon tea and pre-dinner aperitifs, along with upgraded bathroom amenities, an in-room espresso machine and a complimentary minibar replenished daily. Great holiday, hotel has potential to be even better
On reflection after returning I can say the hotel has far more positives than negatives . The hotel is not far from airport has a few shops, bars, restaurants nearby. We got an upgrade to jacuzzi balcony made our stay a lovely experience. The hotel is not directly on the beach but the nearest beaches are a short walk away Sandy Beach and Alkye, we were HB and you get complimentary water on arrival thereafter you have to buy water. Nice touch though to have a small bottle of red and a sparkling wine in fridge. Our deal included buffet dinner but you can swap and book al carte at Italian which we didn’t know only open twice but having said that we enjoyed buffet all staff were amazing, entertainment team are superb and evening shows were good, We had a good group of guests during our stay, I read reviews about Tui cancelled flights arriving at hotel and we experienced this on our last night. I have to give it to the staff still trying to accommodate paying guests and TUI guests , there may have been 300 extra guests, hope staff get paid double time, too many staff to say hats off. There are so many staff to thank, reception, spa, poolside entertainment team Few shout outs to Sanie, Paul, Sharie, Nino , Joana too many to name!
The hotel has great customer service but building needs updating, but we would return and definitely recommend

Chilled week at Azia
From the moment we arrived the staff were absolutely amazing and couldn’t do enough for you. The hotel was spotless and the grounds beautiful. We upgraded to an adults only premium room (437) , when we booked the holiday and this gave us access to the premium lounge where can get breakfast and afternoon tea. There is also an adults only pool and sun beds if you like to have a chill from the main pool. The food is excellent from breakfast in a morning and so is the evening buffet with a good choice of dishes and theme nights and the Italian restaurant on site was amazing. There is entertainment every night. There are lovely walks along the coast and a bus stop outside the hotel which takes you into Paphos town for 2 euros each. It’s a lovely hotel but it’s the staff that make the difference. From the gentleman on reception when we arrived in the early hours to the lady in charge of the restaurant. They really make the difference. We will be back and thank you for a lovely stay.
Not family friendly
Very disappointing, especially for a TUI Platinum hotel
Unfortunately, our stay at Azia Paphos was extremely disappointing. The only thing we genuinely enjoyed was watching the beautiful sunsets.
We travelled with our 1-year-old son and were particularly disappointed with the lack of facilities and consideration for young children.
There was no children's buffet, there is a section that looks likes its the children buffet with a microwave and bottle steriliser. But it wasn't open for the full week we were there. i did ask one of the staff and she said it was up to the chef if it was open, which we found very surprising for a hotel of this supposed standard. On one occasion, we went to get some food for our 1-year-old just 15 minutes before the advertised time. We were refused food, told it wasn't ready yet, and were simply pointed towards the door. We found this incredibly unhelpful, especially when travelling with a hungry toddler.
The buffet food was another major disappointment. We found much of it inedible, and after a short time we ended up surviving on bread rolls and eating out every day. The restaurant food was okay, but with only one restaurant open each evening, there wasn't much choice.
We were also concerned to see old food left outside a room for three days, covered in flies. This was sorted when mentioned.
The staff were very inconsistent. Some were absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough for us, while others were noticeably miserable and unhelpful.
The children's entertainment was practically non-existent until 8:30pm, which isn't particularly useful when travelling with a 1-year-old. The entertainment area was also tucked away at the bottom of a long corridor in what felt like a rather dingy room. We wouldn't recommend it for families with young children.
There isn't much immediately surrounding the hotel apart from a few bars, so you're quite reliant on taxis if you want to explore or find alternative places to eat. It was convenient for us as we were attending a wedding next door, but otherwise the location didn't offer much for us.
We genuinely don't understand how this hotel is considered TUI Platinum. Perhaps our expectations were too high because of that rating, but unfortunately the experience fell a long way short of what we expected. we did meet with the hotel manager, George. lovely man and obviously cares alot for the guests and hotel. he did say he was going to look into the children entertainment. but this was our experience in the hotel.
The sunsets were beautiful, but sadly that was the highlight of our stay. We wouldn't return or recommend Azia Paphos, particularly to families with young children.
Enjoyable return visit
Have just returned from our second visit this year. Once again a pleasure to stay in such beautiful surroundings, accompanied by excellent service from all areas of staff. Nothing too much trouble, staff in restaurants and housekeeping excelled themselves. Looking forward to our visit next year(already booked).

Excellent hotel
We had a fantastic stay at the Azia Resort & Spa in Cyprus and would highly recommend it. The hotel is beautiful, with stunning grounds, excellent facilities and a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. Our room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean, while the pool and surrounding areas were perfect for unwinding in the Cypriot sunshine. The food was excellent, with plenty of choice and a consistently high standard throughout our stay. What really made the experience special was the staff. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and attentive, and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. A special mention must go to the brilliant team in the wine bar, who were fantastic throughout our stay and helped make our evenings particularly enjoyable. Our only slight disappointment was that the hotel did not have a central bar that acted as a natural meeting point for guests. A lively central area where people could gather, socialise and meet others would have added even more to the overall atmosphere. That said, the Azia Resort & Spa is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a relaxing, high-quality break in Cyprus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.
