I arrived at the hotel to surprise friends who were there a few days earlier, the hotel was amazing the staff were great and friendly especially ildiko front of house at the restaurant, made going for a meal enjoyable :) Mavina, Jasmine were all friendly and helpful too. The rooms was great, large, cleaned every day, bottles of water topped up everyday, Fridge and Air Con in room was a great bonus. Food was fantastic and not monotonous like some all inclusive holidays are, the entertainment was good with a great atmosphere. There was no fighting for sunbeds by the pool, no noise issues, the only downside for some people is no beach at the location, but was fine for me as not really a beach person. The view from the restaurant was amazing and the sunset each night was too. little shop on site, plenty of day entertainment, for me was great value for money, and already thinking about going back for next year
We arrived very late at night, and was greeted by the friendly receptionist, check in was quick and easy, there was some food available and drink,we were taken to our room, and was pleasantly surprised at the size of the apartment, very clean and tidy. The hotel has apartment blocks, well kept surrounding areas, rooms cleaned every day.The main pool is surprisingly warm, with a nice slop down, plenty of sunbeds.lively entertainment team, enough activities through the day.The pool bar opens at 10am, good choice of drinks great cocktails, local beer, ice cream available through the day,and freshly prepared food, ranging from, chicken nuggets, chips, hotdogs, sandwiches, different salads. Thanks to pool bar staff very friendly and the service was quick.Plenty of seats and tables with shade. The main restaurant has a great selection of food, hot and cold varieties on offer, indoor seating and plenty of seating outside, you get greeted when you enter. The whole restaurant team were amazing, unfortunately there are to many brilliant members of the whole complex to mention, but we made some good friends, the manager was awesome we were made very welcome, the guys serving the drinks at the tables were amazing thanks for keeping us with a great drinks service, every member of the whole complex were brilliant you made our holiday amazing. As I said too many brilliant members to mention, but well done to everyone.(You know who you are.)There is a long promenade to walk along, there are a few comunial beaches, with sun loungers and parasol's.Its a short walk to the main road where the 615 bus goes to Paphos and Coral Bay,€2 euros each every 15 minutes.Paphos and Coral Bay are well worth visiting.plenty of bars and restaurants and shops, also archeological sites to visit, cheap entry fees.Well worth the money. The harbor has plenty of choices for boat trips. So it was a brilliant holiday, once again please convey our gratitude to all the staff. You guys are awesome.(Roxana had to mention you ,Panos and Stefan keeping the bubbly flowing.) Thanks Soo much to everyone.👍👍
My wife and I have just returned from an incredible 9 night stay at Atlantica Akteon, and we cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
From the moment we arrived, every member of staff was welcoming, friendly and professional, but three individuals truly made our holiday unforgettable: Manager Anis, Ulvi, and Roxana.
As Muslims, we simply assumed the meat wouldn’t be halal, so for the first day, we stuck to the vegetarian options. On our second day, Anis kindly approached us after recognising that my wife wears a hijab. He introduced himself, took the time to speak with us, and reassured us that the chicken and beef served at the hotel were halal. That simple act of thoughtfulness immediately put our minds at ease. What impressed us even more was that he continued to check in with us throughout our stay, always making time for a friendly conversation and ensuring we were enjoying our holiday. His genuine care for guests is a credit to the hotel.
Ulvi was equally exceptional. From the very beginning, he was warm, attentive and always greeted us with a smile. After Anis reassured us about the halal food, Ulvi went a step further by letting us know that whenever we fancied chicken, the chef could prepare it separately for us. Having our meals freshly prepared in this way was an unexpected and incredibly thoughtful touch that made us feel genuinely cared for. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and his kindness and professionalism were evident every single day.
Roxana was simply outstanding. She welcomed us every day with a smile, was always cheerful, approachable and incredibly kind, and consistently made us feel comfortable and valued. Her positive energy was infectious, and every interaction with her added something special to our stay. She is a wonderful ambassador for the hotel and an absolute credit to the team.
While every member of staff we encountered was fantastic, these three individuals genuinely elevated our experience. Their warmth, professionalism and personal touch transformed what was already a lovely holiday into a truly memorable one.
The hotel itself is beautiful, the food was excellent, and discovering that the chicken and beef were halal was an unexpected and greatly appreciated bonus, making our all-inclusive stay even more enjoyable.
A heartfelt thank you to Anis, Ulvi and Roxana, and to the entire team at Atlantica Akteon. You made us feel genuinely valued as guests, and we leave with wonderful memories. We would not hesitate to return and will happily recommend this hotel to family and friends.
Firstly: I'm writing this Tripadvisor review because I read the kind other contributors before I stayed which helped me decide to come here. Hopefully this review shares the same sentiment.
This is a four star resort at it's core and I think it does that really well. The location is a c30 mins drive from Paphos airport (or c45 mins through our shared transfer via EasyJet Holidays). It's nestled with some other hotels along the coastline and you can see the sea. Although, it's not a "proper" beach so don't expect a lot.
We arrived close to midnight because of flight delays but the receptionist team were kind enough to leave out some snacks (sandwiches, fruit and juice) to accommodate us which was a nice touch.
Our luggage was taken to our rooms by the staff which was nice of them. The first "beaware before you book" is that the hotel rooms are apartment type blocks. I.e. you get a room within a block of flats so if you have mobility issues, I would recommend that you ask for a ground floor flat. For the avoidance of doubt, this isn't a downside it's more of a heads up.
Rooms: The rooms themselves were pleasant. I had the seaview room and it was satisfactory, you could see the sea from the balcony. I noticed that some other rooms connect right to the pool which I would personally find quite annoying. The room had two single beds put together so it's perfect for one or two people. It didn't have a sofa bed. It came with a small sink, a mini-fridge and a tiny wall mounted TV. The bathroom had a bath (although no plugs) and the shower pressure was fantastic. All in all, the room was as expected and I had no qualms.
Resort / pool: The resort itself is small and intimate. It's a perfect place for couples or a small family. I went in the first week of July where there weren't very many children but I'm not sure how busy it would get with kids in peak summer. I saw the same people most days which shows it isn't massive. There were plenty of sunbeds (albeit it was a bit annoying when people would "reserve" these by placing a towel on them and not showing up for hours). The lifeguard / pool team are excellent, though. If you need something (e.g. another sunbed) then they will accommodate this within minutes. You'll notice a lot of mention of the staff throughout this review and they were all genuinely faultless - which is a rarity nowadays. The pool is great sized, there is plenty of space for small activities. I read a review from someone that the music is loud but this is far from the truth. I've been at resorts before where the music is diabolically loud but this was far from it. I could read my book comfortably and hear the music at a low level - I'm not sure this was intentional but it was a perfect volume.
Food: The food is a buffet style breakfast, lunch and dinner at specific times throughout the day. It's not an all-day buffet (albeit they do offer an all-day pool side snack bar). This is probably where the experience is 4 (out of 5 stars). The food offered is... okkk... I mean that in the nicest way possible. Don't expect to be blown away by the selection. Breakfast consists of different types of sausages, eggs, beans, etc etc. Lunch and dinner is mostly different each day. You have chips and chicken nuggets everyday for the kids which is useful. Rice/cous cous is the staple with the other dishes varied (grilled chicken, pork (which we don't eat), beef, etc). There are some nice veggie options too but not a huge selection. A super nice touch was from a kind member of staff who noticed my mum was wearing a hijab. He came over and specifically mentioned that all the dishes were halal although I didn't "double click" on this. He was very kind and asked we come to him first if we had any issues which was a nice touch. Whether or not someone else (far stricter than me) would want to ask for a certificate of some sort then feel free.
The dessert options are solid (watermelon / melon at all times), nutella pastries, profiteroles some days, cake most days, etc.
Staff: The staff themselves need an entire section. The entertainment team really do make a huge effort in trying to get an atmosphere going. During the day, they organise "pool activities" at specific times and they announce this on the tanoy. At night time (after dinner at 20:30 ish), they do organise some fun live music, dance shows, karaoke night, quiz nights, bingo, etc. It's a real effort and the entertainment team made a huge effort in trying to include everyone / make it fun. It really was nice to be there.
Surrounding area: I did a 5k run along the coastline albeit I had to do a loop a few times. There isn't a huge much to do around the area although it's more a resort you just sit and relax. If you're planning on being out and about most of the day then this isn't the place for you. As usual for Cyprus, Paphos isn't a walkable city. You'll need to rent your own car or get transport around. We went to the Old Town on one of the days and it was actually quite boring / poor. I wouldn't waste my time (or money) going there.
Other guests: This section is quite unusual for a review but it's worth noting. I managed to strike conversation with a lot of other members of the resort (all mostly being British) and they were so friendly. I'm not sure why/how friendly people gravitate to this resort but I was so pleasantly surprised by everyone's eagerness to chat and make holiday friends. I had one or two rogue individuals but I wouldn't let a bad bunch spoil it for the majority. FWIW, we were a South Asian family (with a visible hijab wearing individual) and it felt like being in a tolerable part of the UK. No one gave weird looks, no one was hostile - it was all so friendly.
Conclusion Go into this resort expecting an incredibly friendly and intimate atmosphere. I know a lot of people just say this but I would genuinely come here again. You can expect fantastic sun (it was low 30's in the first week of July), great refreshments and a great time.
My partner and I recently had a fantastic stay at the Atlantica Akteon! The location, the food, the facilities, everything was at a very high standard for the price we paid through Jet2Holidays (and far surpassed our expectations)
Our room, well studio, was spacious and much larger than we had expected. The air-conditioning was very suitable and despite turning off when you didn't have the keycard in the holder by the front door (as is normal in most hotels), the room held the cool whilst we were away and cooled down very quickly once you turned the air-con back on. And it was fairly quiet when you turned it onto sleep mode for a good nights sleep.
The entertainment team (shout out to Marina and Jasmine) were brilliant - super lovely people who made you feel very welcome and included. They work extremely hard to ensure your stay is enjoyable. The evening entertainment was varied and suitable for all (including traditional dancing, bingo, quizzes etc.) - and the daytime entertainment was great fun, including volleyball, water polo, darts, pool, yoga, aqua-fitness and more!
The food was brilliant and there was always something for everyone (I already miss the feta and olives that was available at every meal!) At other hotels like this, I've found that after two days the food begins to feel samey, but this hotel is DEFINITELY not one of them. Each evening had themes (Asian, Italian, Cypriot, market etc.) and had some fab food on offer. The A La Carte restaurant (that you can go to free-of-charge for a 5-day or longer stay) served amazing food too!
Finally, every member of staff were super lovely, welcoming, and we really felt like we got to know them by the end of our stay. We highly highly recommend this hotel and cannot wait to go back soon
