Amazing place to stay. Cleanliness was impeccable and the staff wait on you hand and foot. Definitely think this hotel should be a 4 star at the least. Different themed foods every night so wasn't repetitive. Reception staff and manager were very welcoming. Cleaners were also amazing and so friendly/polite. Quiet and calm atmosphere and beautiful area to be in. Always made sure we had drinks on our table and table was clean. Only stayed for 4 days but we were so sad to leave!
Filthy!! Absolutely no excuse for cleaning the place, cockroaches everywhere, dirt, grime, and just awful 🤢 We ate out most days as couldn’t be around the place, would be sat down at a table outside and they would put you where there’s food on the floor covered in ants! Had no idea about customer service, more intrested in playing on there phones!! I know it’s a 3 star hotel and to be honest I only have myself to blame for booking it, but school holidays and price of accommodation is scandalous so I’ll defo not make the same mistake again.
Good location, 10 mins walk to the beach , and 8 mins ride the famous fig tree beach . Hotel staff was excellent, they got a cake and candle for my daughter,s birthday in the canteen and sang Happy Birthday, made her day more special. Special thanks to Mosses, Sami, Jassi , Palwinder, Biser , Roissy and all the team . Drinks were good and room were good size with a good working Air Conditioner.
Would like to see a ice cream selection in the canteen and more vegetation options.
Booked a last minute holiday for my partners Birthday as we tend to do towards the end of August each year. We don't usually go all inclusive because a big part of holiday for us is choosing where to eat in the evenings & trying different restaurants (we love our food!) However this year SC / B&B holidays were coming up expensive so for only a few hundred pounds more we got 9 nights AI at Toxotis for a family of 3. I have to say I was more than pleasantly surprised with the food on offer here, although we didn't eat at the hotel every night the times we did we enjoyed it & tried different theme night menus such as Italian, French, Mexican etc. The gyros & salads served at lunchtimes were lovely 👌🏽Omelette & dauphinoise potatoes at brekkie followed by fresh fruit set me up for the day nicely. Coffee was drinkable. The alcohol however wasn't the best it was cheap wine & spitits & the cocktails would induce heartburn within seconds ❤️🔥😂 but hey ho I did not expect premium brand drinks for the price I paid! Beer tasted ok to be fair & the soft drinks too 👍🏽 One thing I would suggest to the hotel is to try be more sustainable & stop with the single use plastic around the pool & instead invest in reusable plastic cups ♻️
Rooms As a lot of people have already mentioned they are small! The bathroom in particular was like a comedy sketch to give you an idea how compact it is both me & my partner knocked the toilet roll off its holder when we sat on the toilet & then smashed our heads into sink when we bent over to pick it up 🤣 They were clean though & although the beds are not the comfiest we've ever slept in none of us have come away with a bad back so they're not too bad! One thing that did get on our nerves though was the lack of soundproofing, bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. There's the odd selfish guest coming back drunk in early hours being loud & obnoxious, letting fire doors slam shut etc. Also a bar next to the hotel one of the nights had a rock band on that went on til really late, it was booming & we couldn't sleep for it! But most irritating of all was a noise that started every morning around 7am & was intermittent throughout the day up until around 4pm. It was like a neumatic drill sound, it woke me & my partner up every morning (my 9 year old slept through it fine.) At first we thought it might be the air con unit (it wasn't) we asked other guests who we got talking to around the pool if they heard it too (they did not). We were so confused but eventually found out what it was when the maintenance guy was on our floor one day outside our room (407) I asked him what the noise was as it was happening there & then. He said it was the staff lift which was opposite our room! Mystery solved & if you like a lie in on holiday you better hope youre not in a room near that staff lift 🤦🏽♀️
Staff They work tirelessly serving guests all day everyday & we found them to be polite, hardworking & very accommodating. Thank you very much to all of you from the cleaners to the waiters, bar staff, cooks & those behind the scenes you helped make our holiday a relaxing & enjoyable one 🥰
Summary Decent 3 star hotel, good value with lovely food & staff. Location is good, buses are regular & reliable & there's plenty to do in pernera, protaras & beyond to keep you entertained for a week or two. Come with realistic expectations & have a great time ☀️
Check in:
We got to the hotel around 1:30am and were welcomed by a member of staff who checked us in very quickly, explained about meals etc and provided us with a sandwich. Check in was great, can’t complain. Check out is at 12pm.
Room:
We were in room 418 and overlooked the pool area, it was a lovely room and kept very clean by the cleaners. Our room was cleaned every day and they always provided clean towels and bedding, the cleaners were also always very welcoming. The only thing I’d say would be helpful cleaner wise is having a “do not disturb” hanger for the door as none of the rooms had these. We were provided with coat hangers, plenty of space for clothes, a tv, kettle with tea and coffee, a bottle of water and the safe is free! We also didn’t find the beds to be uncomfortable as people have previously mentioned in their reviews and didn’t get any funny smells! The bathroom could have done with being slightly bigger but other than that we have no complaints about the room.
Food:
Breakfast was 7am-10am and they served the same things every day: full English, toast with jam etc if wanted, croissants, cake, the list goes on.
Dinner was 1pm-2:30pm and they served foods such as chips, nuggets, pasta, pizza, gyros, different meats, veg and much more. As a pickier eater I lived off chips and pizza etc for the 10 days but my boyfriend loved trying the different meats and foods they had to offer.
Snacks at the sit down pool bar were available from 3-5pm and provided foods such as burgers, hotdogs, sandwiches, chips, ice cream. Ice creams were available throughout the day at the main pool bar however with very limited availability, they only ended up with banana a lot of the time.
Tea was from 6:30pm-9pm and was a different theme each evening. They however always served chips, nuggets etc for the kids/picker eaters! The deserts weren’t the best, I think I managed to find one the whole time I was there.
The waiters were lovely, always so nice and welcoming and were very quick to collect dirty plates and glasses! Sami was always quick to get you a drink and knew our order without us having to say anything. Thank you to you all for a lovely experience in the restaurant.
Pool area:
The area around the pool was always kept nice and clean however could get very slippy walking around. Inside the pool could definitely do with a clean as there was sand and dirty floating around the bottom. You were allowed floats in the pool however they also allowed balls meaning you got hit a lot both inside the pool and whilst you were lying on the sunbed which gradually became very annoying when it was every day and of course the majority of people didn’t apologise! You can have bottles filled up at the pool bar but only with water however, you can keep going to get cups of coke etc whenever. There’s always music playing around the pool and the entertainers always created a busy day with morning yoga, aqua gym, the kids club, water polo, uno tournaments and beer pong etc. There were some days you could go down to the pool at 9am and there would still be plenty of beds but some days you would walk out at 7:30 and the majority would be taken so was a bit hit and miss.
Evening entertainment:
The entertainers always started the evening at 8pm with a mini disco for the children then at 9pm put things on such as bingo, karaoke, a violinist and a dance group. The entertainment finished at 10pm but the bar stayed open until 11pm.
Surrounding area:
There are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops surrounding the area of the hotel and there are 2 beaches within about a 10 min walking distance. There are bus stops right outside the hotel which can take you to Protaras, Ayia Napa, The waterpark etc and only costs €2 for one way. We got the bus everywhere and reckon we saved a lot of euros by doing so.
Over all:
I do feel like you get what you pay for, you’re coming to a 3 star hotel so expect a 3 star experience. Staff were all lovely, can’t fault any of them! We enjoyed our 10 night stay at this hotel, thank you.
