- Sunrise Pearl Hotel and Spa

This hotel is located on what is considered the most beautiful beach in Cyprus, in the centre of the Protaras tourist resort. There are plenty of things to see in the surrounding area such as the Cape Greco Nature Reserve, Protaras Coastal Path and some more impressive beaches. Historical sites like the Agia Napa Medieval Monastry, Aphrodite's Rock and the Tomb of the Kings are worth visiting while in Cyprus. The hotel provides many amenities and services that will suit everyone's needs whether travelling for business or pleasure. There are three restaurants serving a wide variety of international, Mediterranean and sea food dishes, three bars and a patisserie. The modern elegant suites and rooms all have balconies and are equipped with all the essential elements needed to ensure the comfort of the guests. Some suites have private balconies and pools.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
A gorgeous hotel! We got upgraded from a garden sea view room to a swim up room as we told them we were celebrating our anniversary. Both rooms had lovely views and AC worked well. The views are stunning all around the pools and ocean. The beach is easily accessible and absolutely stunning waters. The service overall is fab. Very impressed with the quality of drinks, turndown service, complimentary touches such as chocolates in the room, fruit by the pool and cute decorations in the room. All the staff are so helpful and pleasant to interact with and they genuinely go out of their way to listen to your requests. The room and bathroom had everything you need. You get allocated sunbeds which is a nice touch. The cleanliness is 10/10e anywhere. I was impressed with the hotels half board option, in particular the restaurants. The hotel has 5 restaurants outside of the resort that you can book via the tablet. All of them are around 5-10min walk. It genuinely feels like you’re going out out for lunch/ dinner. Would highly recommend this option. The quality and options available for food is v good and definitely well made. The Brazilian steakhouse and bakery/ gelato place were 10/10. I cannot fault our stay. The front desk staff are lovely, super helpful and we loved every moment. Book it! You wont regret it.
Fantastic hotel and staff. The hotel was very comfortable, the staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and there was very no noise from adjoining hotels. We had a great sea view and balcony which was really great.
Location perfect, relaxing atmosphere, Rooms amazing, value for money yes , clean, quiet - service outstanding from the pool attendants , maids , waitresses and waiters, bar staff , reception, and spar. Food beautiful. Beach soooo good - we will definitely come back
Just finished our 10 day holiday and what a hotel! We have 2 young kids (3 and 5) who absolutely loved kids club and the lots of different pool options - main pool, indoor pool, kids pools. The food is the best we have ever had in a hotel abroad. Breakfast was 1st class and we opted for the half board option, which you get to dine out in their numerous restaurants along the strip! On the nights we chose to eat in other restaurants in Protaras, we changed our half board to lunch. Which was a sit down 3 course lunch! Was very impressed at this whole set up. You do have to book the restaurants in advance, on our first day I stood a reception and booked them for the rest of our stay.
We had a junior suite for the 4 of us (2 adults & a partitioned section for the 2 kids) this worked well for us. My kids stood at the door each evening waiting for the lady to bring the chocolates & water was filled daily in the mini bar. Room spotless! My only complaint would be that it is small, with very limited storage space! I really struggled to unpack 4 suitcases into the small wardrobe & the drawers just about fitted a pair of pjs. I ended up noticing drawers under the 2 kids beds, which had sheets in them. So I removed those and used them for clothes instead.
At the pool you pick your sunbeds and get them for your stay. I say pick lightly as when we arrived on our first day we had 1 option. It was at the kids pool and seemed good, until 3pm when it was completely shaded. We asked to move and were told there’s no other options. A few days later we moved down to the grass area but there’s issues with ants and it didn’t suit us being so far away from the pools. We asked multiple times for a spot around the main pool and were told no. Yet new people would arrive and get given exactly where we had been asking for!! 4 days before the end of our holiday we complained and finally got the beds we were after. This system in theory works very well, but it needs better management. With young kids we couldn’t go to adults only, yet lots of adults with no kids are around the kids/main pool area. Around the pool is very very quiet, we loved when the water Zumba was on in the afternoon, as we got to listen to some music for half an hour. Some music would be a great addition! All in all, an amazing stay!! A fabulous hotel. We love luxury and that’s exactly what we got. Would stay again or try another sunrise hotel.
Enjoyed our stay here as a family with two teens. Standout staff were Gloria on reception and Sarlota in the main restaurant. Had niggles with our rooms which we swopped after a couple of days. Food was very good quality and was nice having restaurant options. The sea is amazing- crystal clear. You can grab any spare floats from Sunrise Beach as you walk through there’s a wooden box to the right where people leave inflatables etc.
