Apartment was okay, one arm on the sofa was broken but we mainly stayed upstairs and on the balcony. Food wasnt good so mainly ate out instead. Stone cold eggs and other items were cold so just stuck to miniature croissants and toast for breakfast. Evening meal was just as bad, some of it was cold and loads of flies around the salad bar which was very offputting.
Perfect holiday and we will definitely be returning to the Papantonia.
As we had booked a 3-star my expectations were not high - we were 3 ladies, around 60, wishing to spend a week in the sun drinking cocktails 😊. We were pleasantly surprised from start to finish. The hotel is clean and the food plentiful. A good variety of drinks on the AI package. Every area was spotless and the staff are the most attentive I’ve ever come across - they were friendly and went over and above to help. The two entertainment me gave 100% day in and day out. I’ve been to Pathos and Larnaca and this was my first time in Protaras - it’s beautiful. It’s quiet and that’s what we liked. Lots of beautiful small beaches and less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Agnes and all the reception team were so friendly and helpful - everyone was. Air conditioning in the rooms and free Wi-Fi throughout. The manager was present and interacting with his team and all the holiday makers. It’s clear he’s a hands on manager and has the respect of his team. The head chef and restaurant manager were also present and engaging with all of us. The waiting staff were first-class as were the bar staff. Such lovely friendly people. I’m usually quite critical and find a fault somewhere - but I can’t this time. All 3 of us have said we will definitely return to the Papantonia. Plenty of sun beds was also a huge plus. We went during school holidays so it was busy, but always had a sun bed. We visited 21st May for 7 nights. Oh, and we didn’t see any cockroaches 😊
Nice quiet place
The room and bathroom are large and clean. Great location, quiet, and the bus stop is a 6-minute walk away. Buses go to all the great beaches. Four beautiful beaches are close to the hotel. There's a shop on site. The water is azure blue. The all-inclusive option is delicious. We also recommend it for families with children.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The hotel was very pleasant, and we were completely satisfied with our room – it was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The food was excellent, with a great variety of dishes to choose from every day. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and always in a good mood, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel’s location right by the sea was perfect. We highly recommend this hotel to everyone and would be happy to come back again!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here. The hotel amazed us with its calm and peaceful atmosphere, which was perfect for a relaxing getaway. Every single staff member was incredibly kind, helpful, and professional – from the moment we arrived until the very end, they made sure we had everything we needed. We didn't encounter a single issue during our entire stay; everything went smoothly and flawlessly. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone and sincerely hope to visit this beautiful place again in the future
