Bring your own mattress!!
Stayed in Melini approx 8 years ago and decided to return, as knew location and had had a good experience before. Location excellent for Protaras strip and beaches, staff extremely helpful,pleasant and approachable, spotlessly clean, linen and towels changed frequently, but, the beds and chairs in the apartment were very uncomfortable. The mattress felt like the rocks that used to be in front of the hotel had been cut up and stuffed in it!!! All the chairs were equally hard and not conducive to relaxation- on our holiday!! I was asked by a person we met out one night were the beds as hard as she'd heard , so obviously not just us. So that has let the place down, as I say otherwise it is a lovely hotel , but due to that we won't be booking again

Not the best hotel
Let's start with the good points. Location brilliant.The music is very loud from the pub nearby but that didn't bother us too much. The reception team are helpful and very efficient, lovely team. Now for the bad points. The staff at breakfast were very miserable, no smiles and the food was not the best. We ended up eating breakfast out even though it was included with our package. The cleaning of our room was the worst we have ever experienced. We had 1 day when the room was cleaned thoroughly and the rest of the days it looked like it hadn't been cleaned. The towels are a joke !!! They only change them when you complain. In my opinion everything at this hotel is done on the cheap. Much bettet hotels in the area .

Very happy with the Melini indeed. Staff are all amazing. Sylvana and Christina in the Island Affair restaurant are so friendly and welcoming. Maria is the same in Rockafellas. High level of danger of eating far too much Ice cream at Chillz. Very difficult to find any major fault. Just an advisory – When you pop across the road to the supermarket for your food (and beer for your fridge) don’t forget to get a dish cloth. Pool towels very cheap along the strip. Rooms cleaned daily and beds made. Could not fault the cleaning staff. Beach is literally across the road.

Perfect Holiday
Everything that is good in a holiday is provided at the Melini. The rooms are spacious and spotless. The staff at reception are welcoming and can’t do enough for you if you need anything. The restaurant “Island Affair” is excellent for quality of food and service. If you want the perfect holiday then this is the place to go.

Brilliant place in the heart of Protaras strip. Very clean & friendly staff. Enjoyed every minute and would definitely come back.
