Food was perfect, fresh and a great selection
Entertainment team were lovely and evening entertainment was fun. My child loved the waterside a lot!
Pool was alway immaculate.
Had a Seaview room which was lovely and the rooms was clean and modern. Have nothing but praise for the hotel Will hopefully go back soon.
I’ve Bern to creetan massage it was really fantastic !! I feel much more better , and relaxed. Thanks to Irene and the great receptionist !!
Very nice hotel suitable for families. Clean. 15 min from the noisy Agia napa. Not a fancy one but the servi e was excellent and we felt as if we have everything for the kids needs. One comment is about the kids club, it will be good to renew the equipment (markers, colors, etc) there.
We’ve stayed at the Golden Coast before, and after this visit, we can honestly say that we wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Cyprus now. We’ve visited other areas and stayed in other hotels over the years, but there’s something about Golden Coast that keeps bringing us back. We’ve just spent another two weeks here with our two children, aged 7 and 8, and once again we absolutely loved it.
We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon and the reception staff were lovely and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our room was in the hotel’s annex at the back of the property and was excellent. It was modern, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. On arrival there were bottles of water, fresh fruit and snacks waiting for us, which was a lovely touch.
The bathroom was well stocked with soap, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and plenty of clean towels. The TV was really easy to use, with English channels and Netflix available, which was great for the kids when we wanted some downtime.
Pool & Beach-
After getting changed, we headed straight down to the pool with the children. The pool was clean, quiet and incredibly relaxing.
One of the things we particularly loved was that there simply isn’t a shortage of sunbeds here. Unlike some hotels you see where people have to get up at the crack of dawn, run out and throw towels on beds, there’s absolutely none of that. No running, no waiting around in the morning and no stress about getting a decent spot.
We used the pool at different times throughout our two-week stay and never once struggled to find sunbeds, including ones close enough to the pool that we could comfortably keep an eye on the children.
The pool and beach areas also never felt rammed. Even at busier times, there was still plenty of space and it always felt relaxed rather than overcrowded.
Everything around the pool was kept really clean and tidy throughout the day, with the pool attendants constantly walking around, clearing things away and keeping the area looking great.
For the children, the slide is obviously a big hit. It closes for the period when lunch is being served, but we actually found this worked really well. Rather than having to drag the kids away from the slide to go and eat lunch, it naturally gave us a good opportunity to head for food while the slide was closed!
The beach is literally just down the steps at the back of the hotel and is another highlight. It’s lovely, clean and peaceful. Sunbeds are €3.50 each and umbrellas are €3 for the full day. If you don’t want to pay, there are also plenty of beds on the grass area overlooking the beach, so there are options for everyone.
Food & Drinks-
The food is exactly what you would expect from an all-inclusive, but in a good way! There is a huge amount of choice and everything we had was fresh and well presented.
There’s an indoor dining area which is lovely and cool, as well as an outdoor terrace with fans which is also comfortable in the heat.
The Italian and Mediterranean restaurants deserve a special mention. We’ve previously paid to eat in them and they are genuinely very good. Definitely worth trying.
We really have no complaints whatsoever about the cleanliness of the hotel or the food and drinks available.
The Staff – 10/10-
For us, this is one of the biggest reasons the Golden Coast stands out.
Every single member of staff we came across was friendly, welcoming, attentive and helpful. They genuinely seem to care about making sure guests are enjoying themselves.
The guys working outside around the Hesperides Bar in the evenings deserve a particular mention. They work non-stop, keeping everyone happy, clearing tables and keeping everything tidy, while still having time to be lovely with the children. They were fantastic.
The older gentlemen working in the restaurant also deserve a mention. They were brilliant and always so friendly and helpful.
It’s those little interactions with staff throughout the day that really make a holiday, and Golden Coast has got that absolutely right.
Entertainment-
The entertainment is another thing we really like about this hotel.
There is enough going on for both adults and children without it becoming too much. It doesn’t have that feeling of a cheap, overly-busy holiday resort, but at the same time there is always something happening if you want to join in.
We think they have found the perfect balance and the entertainment team are fantastic.
For families, the location is also ideal. It’s quiet enough that we felt comfortable letting the children wander around and enjoy themselves, while there is still entertainment for them in the evenings.
At night there is entertainment inside for the children and live acts outside for the adults, which creates a really nice, relaxed atmosphere.
Everything finishes at around 11pm, which we actually really liked. If you want somewhere busier afterwards, it’s only a short walk into Pernera or a couple of euros in a taxi to Protaras.
Rooms & Cleanliness-
Our room was cleaned and tidied every day, with the beds made, fresh towels and toiletries provided. Each Monday the bedding was changed and the room received a more thorough clean.
Again, if there was ever anything extra we needed, the staff were more than happy to help.
Weddings-
The Golden Coast does host weddings, which is worth knowing if you’re considering staying here, but we honestly didn’t find them intrusive at all.
The music finishes at 11pm, the same as the hotel’s normal evening entertainment, so it didn’t affect our evenings or the children’s bedtime.
Sports Area-
There’s also a sports area with TVs, and if there’s a particular football match or sporting event you want to watch, reception are happy to accommodate where they can.
This was great for us as the children could stay up a little later and watch the football in the sports area.
And finally… the cats! 🐈
There are cats everywhere in Cyprus, and the Golden Coast has a few regular visitors around the outside areas.
Our children were chatting to the manager one day and he mentioned that the hotel has actually paid to have the cats neutered and vaccinated and makes sure they are looked after.
They are lovely, well cared for and the staff are all very kind to them. It was really nice to hear that the hotel takes responsibility for them rather than simply ignoring them.
Overall-
We genuinely cannot fault our stay.
The hotel is clean, the food is good, the rooms are modern and comfortable, the pool and beach are fantastic, the location is perfect and the entertainment is just right for families.
But above all, it’s the staff who make this place special.
We’ve stayed in other parts of Cyprus and at other hotels previously, but since discovering the Golden Coast a few years ago, we simply can’t bring ourselves to look elsewhere.
We’ve just spent another two weeks here and we will 100% be back.
Thank you to everyone at Golden Coast for another fantastic holiday. ❤️
