- Evalena Beach Hotel

This hotel occupies a quiet location in Protaras and right in front of a beautiful sandy beach. After going through a full renovation the hotel has a fresh and modern feel. The property is located literally on the edge of Protaras town centre and all its facilities are only a stone's throw away. This hotel resort will give guests a taste of warm, friendly and attentive Cypriot hospitality. Built on the beautiful golden sandy beach of Fig Tree Bay, this friendly accommodation is perfect for a relaxing and peaceful holiday. The complex is sure to enchant visitors with its Mediterranean flair and warm hospitality. The rooms are wonderfully designed to create an oasis of peace and tranquillity, offering a complete escape for senses. Travellers may pamper their palates with tantalizing dishes at the in-house restaurant or sip a drink from the bar. The youngest guests may romp at the paddling pool, use the gym with cardio fitness training equipment, fix strengthen equipment, while adults may have a cooling dip in the outdoor pool or lounge on the terrace or even enjoy the steam bath, whirlpool and pamper themselves with a beauty treatment.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Our third time at this hotel and didn’t disappoint yet again. The Evalena keeps getting better and better! A lovely touch when we arrived in our room was a plate of fresh fruit and wine from Management as we’d visited before! Thank you so much for this. Rooms are spotlessly cleaned daily, reception are friendly and helpful, staff are also so helpful and friendly. A special shout out for the chef, Gobin and Bim Manoj as they helped my husband so much at every meal time as not only is he celiac (gluten) but also milk allergy. The staff excelled at helping us at every mealtime. The restaurant is efficiently run with exceptional waiters and waitresses who work extremely hard. We also used the Evalena beach bar daily for snacks and drinks which was equally efficient and friendly. The Evalena is perfectly sited for what we want to do while on holiday with its beachfront location. We went to the beach daily and were able to park our motorbike right outside the hotel. Drinks in the bar were of a very high standard and again, the barman (from Nepal also) was very friendly and made us top rate drinks and cocktails and Baileys coffees! The hotel shop sells everything you need with competitive prices. We didn’t use the spa facilities this time but spoke to other guests who did and these facilities too were of an excellent standard! We can’t wait to come back again! Thank you everyone at Evalena for making our holiday so special again. We recommend you to friends and family and we will be back! Odette Rees
Absolutely fantastic stay for 14 nights Excellent food Lovely staff, nothing to much trouble Very clean Comfy beds Good location Only fault was pool side is very slippy Big shout out to ALEX on pool bar, top man. And a big thanks to the very helpful life guard... Takes pride in his job, very attentive!!!!
Really enjoyed our stay at the Evalena. The location is great, it's a short walk 5 minute away from the main resort of Protaras, there's a small beach right outside the hotel and quieter than the main beaches, near enough to have a swim in the sea and then back to the hotel pool if your not a beach/sand lover like me. The sea is lovely, clean, warm and crystal clear whilst we were there, great for snorkling, watersports etc.
The hotel was quiet and there was some entertainment, but this was more ambient with laid back guitar, saxiphone and piano music during the day and evenings. A nice laid back atmosphere and not to loud. If you wanted more lively entertainment then it was a short walk into the main resort where there is something for everyone.
The rooms were nice and spacious, limitied storage and hangers but we all found them fine and air conditioning was included. Some recent resoirts we stayed at in Greece charged extra for this on arrival.
The pool and bar were nice, although if i had one negative about the hotel it was there not really being enough sunbeds for everyone. There was a sign saying that any towels placed on beds before 8.30am would be removed, we never saw any towels being removed. So there were days when although we were up and at the pool early we couldn't get beds for the our party of 6. Although people did come and go, so throughout the day we did usually manage to get beds for everyone at some point.
The staff were great and really friendly, the bar staff and restaurant staff were great and always polite, friendly and service was always with a smile. The hotel was spotless and always clean, rooms were cleaned daily.
We were all inclusive and found there was always plenty on offer to suit all our parties dietry requirements. Drinks were plentiful, cocktails, beer, wine iced coffees, soft drinks etc. We ate out a few times whilst we were there, there are some nice tavernas and restaurants in the main resort if you want to mix things up a bit.
The overall resort was clean and lovely, plenty to do, places to eat and at the other end of the reosrt was Fig Tree bay which was stunning and i would recommend the Evalena hotel as a place to stay.
Stayed at Evelena Beach Hotel with my husband. We were in Cyprus for the first time for a friends wedding at a nearby hotel. We arrived late and had no issues at check in, the reception area was nicely decorated & had air conditioning. Cyprus was very hot. Food had been left in our rooms with us arriving late. Location for us was excellent. 10 minutes along the boardwalk to my friends hotel, right next to a pier for the watersports, the beach and the main bars and restaurants are 10 minutes away too,but still a quiet location. We had a lovely room, bed was huge, fridge, tea/coffee and a nice balcony with a side view to the sea. The rooms were turned over daily and usually when we went for breakfast. Food was good for the all inclusive option, always founf something we liked, same with the pool bar for drinks snacks. The bar/waiting staff were all lovely and helpful. The sunbeds were sometimes an issue, but the hotel did try to tackle this. The reception provide you with an information page when you first check in, at times when asking a question were told to refer to it. All in all it was a lovely stay and I would definitely return.
Me and wife have just got back from a 10 day break in this Hotel, really enjoyable stay,we only went B&B and the breakfast was highly rated, plenty of choice and even had things cooked for you while you wait,The Staff all over the hotel were first class,Rooms cleaned daily to a high standard, Location perfect virtually on the beach and very handy for all the water sports, Pool very nice but slightly small when very busy, Reception staff very helpful and friendly, Good bar around the pool with Alex the barman very good. It was also only a 10 minute walk to the many bars and restaurants.
