This is definitely not a 5 Star
This is our opinion on the Hotel.
The hotel itself is a lovely looking place but the things that don’t make it 5 star are -
Bathroom- shower over a bath which wasn’t a problem for us but a cheap small shower head, handles on bath in poor condition, our toilet had a crack from the base half way up (it’s didn’t leak tho) , towels are poor, small and off white. If you have thick hair the hair dry in the bathroom is useless.
Food - The food was not the best (have stayed in many hotels HB or all inclusive and this was the worst we’ve had, yes there is plenty but it’s the choices on offer we found poor. Omelette at breakfast was best because it’s freshly cooked, (don’t eat ham/cheeses for breakfast but wouldn’t anyway they wasn’t covered and flys crawling over it)
On arrival you are given a welcome sheet on the sheet it states if towels are placed on beds they will be removed, they wasn’t! there was always sun beds available if you want to be squashed in but if you want a prime spot get there before 7. There’s a sign saying for hotel guests but we witnessed people come in with picnic for the day and they wasn’t questioned.
There are wedding almost everyday so you have the noise of that nightly if you that side of the hotel, we were the other side overlooking the pool but then we had the noise of the hotel entertainment (if you can call it that) although it did stop at 11.30ish.)
We were on a HB basis (breakfast/dinner) we paid within the package for late check out but was NOT ALLOWED to have lunch in replacement for dinner as we wouldn’t be there! We have never experienced that before we have always been allowed to swap the meal time.
So under these circumstances of the above we rate this hotel below the 5 star
The hotel reception area was very nice as was the rest of the foyer. The room we had was ok but could have done with being updated. The main issue was the towels in the bathroom, they were not only off white but some still had stains on even though they were supposed to be clean, they were also like sandpaper, the 2 gowns were disgusting and there were lots of threads hanging off, they were grey as well, when we complained to reception the manageress was rude and said the towels were just off white. The room we had was 133 and the maid kept leaving the balcony door open even though she had finished cleaning. The majority of staff were rude and most did not even say good morning or even recognize you were there, the only staff that were friendly were the lifeguards and the pool bar staff. The pool area was good and kept clean but some of the sunbeds could have done with a clean and some of the umbrellas were at a angle but overall it was good being by the pool. The entertainment staff were really friendly and we felt sorry sometimes as no one would participate in the games or water aerobics. We cannot fault the food, there was plenty of it and the choice was vast. The meats were cooked so the meat was easy to cut and chew, the food areas were clean but in the morning there were flies around the cold meat. Overall we did enjoy our stay at this hotel but it is not a 5 star more of a 3/4 star. The location was good as the beach was only short walk away and shops and restaurants were not far. We would only consider returning to this hotel if improvements were made in the room and the towels were renewed.
I think the location is really great, because it is close to the sand beach and water doesn't get deep that fast. The atmosphere in the hotel is always happy, the service often tells you hello. The rooms are really well-kept, we often sit on a balcony in the evening to relax, the safe is very easy in use. The cleaners make the room as clean as it was before we came. The waiters never keep you waiting and they try to make a good impression on their customers, especially Shushma, when she comes to the table to take the order, she looks really confident. It's not noisy at all for me, in the night it's completely silent. The elevators are really good help in this hotel, it was great idea to add some of them. In my opinion, the hotel gives you everything you need and I m sure we will return next year.
Beautiful hotel on a great location. The food and drinks are super . The rooms are clean. The staff are super helpful and freindly. EspecialyThe lobby Bartender EHSAN is very freindly.
We had a very pleasant stay at Constantinos the Great. Although the hotel is a bit older and could definitely benefit from some renovation, especially the sun loungers in the garden by the sea, it still offers excellent value for the price. The location is great, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the staff made our stay even more enjoyable. A special thank you goes to the waitress Shusma, who was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. Her kindness and positive attitude really made a difference and made us feel truly welcome. Overall, if you’re looking for a reasonably priced hotel in a fantastic location, this is a great choice. We would happily stay here again.
