The Local Area
The Cavo Maris is a popular hotel, located in a beautiful, unspoiled, seafront location in Protaras, amongst extensive grass lawns and beautiful gardens which run down to a safe beach with fine golden sand and crystal clear sea water, awarded the blue flag. Within 2 minutes walk, there are 2 more secluded beautiful beaches. The Famous 'Fig Tree Bay' beach, at the Resort centre, is about 1.5 km down the road (15 minutes walk). A local bus service is available to the centre of Protaras (1.5 km) and Paralimni, the biggest town of the area (9 km), or to the nearby bustling resort of Ayia Napa (9 km). Larnaca International Airport is about 59 km away.

Excellent Hotel, extremely clean, excellent service. Amazing restaurants, food is incredible even the buffet food was great! Swim up bars / pools kept clean and well maintained. Other guest polite social, family friendly. The beach is great the sea is unreal. Staff are so kind and friendly. The only comment I would make was their Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri is little a disappointing. For the best Daq in Cyprus you should see Yiannis @ Sunrise beach bar… the best by far!
Definitely returning yearly to Cavo Maris as it such a superb hotel and elite location. 5*

Perfect honeymoon stay
We want to thank the Cavo Maris staff for making our honeymoon so special! We were given the honeymoon suite, and we are truly grateful for that. The hotel is a perfect place for families with children: clean and safe, a great location, a nice beach, heated pools, and delicious food. Thank you, Cavo Maris, for an unforgettable holiday!

We have just returned from 2 weeks in paradise at Cavo Maris.

The rooms are so modern. Cleaned daily , could eat my lunch from the floor it was that clean!
Plenty of bar choices from morning to evening, you would never end up without a drink.
The 5 different restaurants were amazing. From sushi, to Steak , to Italian , to Smash burgers and also traditional Greek food teverna! It’s incredible! You also have a 6th buffet restaurant which has themed nights every day of the week!
We highly recommend going all inclusive ultra as you get to eat in all the restaurants once in each one per week. Also you get all the branded spirits , soft drinks and Beers/ciders!
All the staff were amazing. Kim , Dennis , Siroj and Kyle are assets to the main bar! Irineos at the cocktail bar makes the best cocktails! Max , Petra and Petyo at the pool bar couldn’t do enough for us! And save the best till last was Tisha which is one of the nicest and friendliest staff in a restaurant that we have ever experienced! The staff is what make this hotel even better than what it is! Everyone is always helpful , polite and always smiling! I’m sorry if I forgot someones name but they was all so good!
There were quite a few children compared to other years but it didn’t ruin our great experience.
Evening entertainment was live singers each night which was great but it got a bit repetitive after the first week. It’s not a problem we still loved it! Could do with a bit of music at the cocktail bar during the day. It’s fairly quiet!
We have already booked for next year and will be returning every year from now on!

Cavo Maris - highly recommended
Lovely hotel situated just by the sea with a nice sandy beach. We had a room on the third floor with a beautiful sea view. The hotel is well maintained with a good standard. We appreciated the dimmable ceiling lights in the room for evening comfort. If you want to enjoy som more hustle and bustle you can either take the bus (2 euros each way/3 euros after 9PM. Bus 101/102) or take a stroll (approx.2 km) along the coastline to Protaras. However the hotel has plenty of dining options. We enjoyed the Italian Abalone restaurant with excellent service and food several evenings. Good amount of sunbeds - so no need to rush in the morning. All in all no complaints. Would love to back another time.

Definitely recommend this hotel. All the staff are really friendly and helpful and it is spotless, possibly the cleanest hotel I've stayed in. The room we had was excellent with a fantastic view and great facilities and kept as clean as the rest of the hotel. Great location with the beach just a few meters away and Protaras within walking distance. The only slight negative for me was the All Inclusive was more Something's Inclusive so would go for the premium package next time as quite a few drinks, cocktails, bottled water etc and the restaurants not included, but having said that the buffet food, breakfast, lunch and dinner was good, but the hot food could have been kept hotter. All in all, we had a lovely stay.
