We have just ended our 11 night stay here, we had a Superior room which was beautiful. Pool is fabulous, staff are lovely. Cjs pool bar is great, food hot and tasty. We will return. Fab holiday, thanks all.
A decent location, with most things walkable or a short bus ride away.
CJs staff were lovely, but then they do have the monopoly on the place.
First self catering holiday ive been on where there are signs stating you cant take your own food and drink to the pool area.
Room was basic and not overly clean (not the cleaners fault). We had ants everywhere, but its not the end of the world. Cooking facilities were basic at best. No oven. Bin was broken and despite asking for a double bed we were given a twin. We didnt want to pay the extra for the a room upgrade, so left it at that.
The extra for the air-conditioning leaves a bitter taste and the shower leaked. Again I did report this but...
Pool was ok, small; did the job and the sun beds were nice. Another place with the "dont reserve beds", but do nothing about it.
Not a great place for families unless youre on a tight budget:
Music was all from 40+ years ago (1980 was 46 years ago people!), the type of place more suited to those who are 60+, unless you just wanted to use the room as a base; which is what we ended up doing.
Had people complain about the noise in the middle of the day (see my above comment). Might be an idea to house the older lot together.
Its lively until about 12am then it all dies down.
In short, great for a base and a cheap place to sleep. Not great for the facilities or overall entertainment.
We have been coming here for about 10 years off and on the location is great the pool bar and restaurant are amazing as well as the staff . The accommodation this time is appalling the whole balcony is surrounded by trees so we can’t see anything the view from the other windows is a building site. The air con is just in the bedroom at 10 euros a night so we’ve been told the shower floods the bathroom floor to the point your in about few inches of water. To us the management have mainly concentrated on the hotel part and put valued customers who have come here for years at the worse apartment they have and we paid over £2300 for this crap
Second time staying at these apartments and coming back in Oct.Stayed in a superior 1 bedroom apt that was on the 3rd floor which i counted 48 steps coming back at night and there is no lift so if you have mobility issues try and request a low floor , the apartments are fabulous with basic cooking facilities and nice walk in showers . There are a couple of minor faults but would not stop me staying here , as i say i am booked here for oct and also next year, the storage space for clothes is quite limited especially if you are there for 2 weeks ,there is a wardrobe with 3 big draws but no bedside cabinets , also there us no clothes airer on balcony so people are putting their washing over the balconys which is a shame as it has just been refurbished ,minor minor faults .The pool area is lovely with great walk in pool that isnt too deep and nice new sunbeds this year that have lovely thick mattresses. CJs run the pool bar and restaurant and the food is as good as anywhere, its that good , all staff in Andreotis and Cjs are very friendly and there are a lot of return customers which says everything and j cant wait for Oct.
We booked this as a cheap and cheerful 7 day break, we have stayed here a number of times over the years.
Pool area and the main block have been renovated and it looks lovely,
However, please be mindful because not all of the complex has been renovated as yet and the Bungalows are still the old style Andreotis.
Hands down this has the best pool I have been in, in Cyprus it’s a brilliant suntrap and the water isn’t freezing which makes it comfortable to be in .
Good in CJ’s was great same as it has been in the past.
Only downfall would be, outsiders coming in to use the pool, creating havoc and behaving like pond life, the hotel is not aware of when this is happening so it’s not their fault as it is something they can’t 100% police.
Air Con - Come on guys still charging for Aircon locally and then only allowing one key incase people leave the card in, is very 1980’s and it was disappointing to be charged for something that should really come as standard in a country that reaches 45-50’
Book a late check out! I thought “nah we will use the changing room” never ever again, there was no hot water to the showers and I had to have a freezing cold shower which I thought was a bit of a stinger so if you don’t pay the late check out your showering in cold water.
All in all would definitely return and looking to do so next year for another cheeky week.
