Sentido Sandy beach

Fabulous stay at this hotel. Beautifully clean, attentive and helpful staff in all areas. Great facilities and an unbeatable breakfast. Highly recommended. Thank you to all the team.

I stayed at the Sandy Beach Hotel for the first time and overall, was a decent hotel. Nice surroundings and decor with a real holiday feel.

The scent as you walk into the hotel is gorgeous too as they pump out a lovely summery, Sandy beach type scent.

As a vegan, there were not too many options to eat at the hotel. At breakfast, there was a vegan sausage and a 'meaty' style veg ball, both of which were nice. Apart from the plant milks, bread fruit and veg to eat at breakfast, there is not much else. No vegan cheese or something else.

At dinner, on my first night, all salads had regular cheese in, as nice as they looked, I couldn't eat any of them. I had to ask them to make me some chips as there wasn't a great deal to eat for me. Although sometimes, there was pasta and ratatouille or alike. I found the pasta to smell of a kitchen filled with the scent of meat though so I didn't have it anymore and stuck to salads and raw veg. Dessert was only fruit as a vegan, no cake or desserts were suitable. I did ask if they could make me a vegan dessert, but they never did and I stayed for two full weeks.

Overall, compared to the hotel next door, the Lordos Beach Hotel, this was not as good value for money. Key difference being there are NO Smart TV's at the Sandy Beach Hotel, the Lordos Beach Hotel has Smart TV's in every room, so I was very disappointed as I am used to having a Smart TV.

Also, upon arrival, you are given one 1.5 bottle of water in your room and that's it. You are not permitted any more. So my friend and I purchased water to make the tea in our room. There were tea and coffee facilities in the room as you'd expect.

Again, no comparison compared to the wonderful Lordos Beach Hotel, as they provide you with unlimited bottles of Agios Nikolas water each day and if you ask for extra, they will give you it too!

Time to up your game, Sandy Beach!!

Also, there was one rude man/staff at breakfast one morning telling me that I could not use a paper cup for my tea as it "wasn't allowed!" - he repeated this twice to me. The very same cup I took from breakfast just two days earlier, so he was bang out of order. I didn't like his tone. I did not say or challenge him as it would have clearly turned into an argument. How rude and hypocritical though when they decided to change their policy but act like it has always been the case to not allow paper cups. One star removed for this poor attitude.

On a positive note, I want to thank Victoria at the breakfast area for being so nice, warm and helpful. Also, the lovely Lucy in the Spa area for being so nice and helpful and it was a pleasure to speak with her in discussing massage options and other facilities available, thank you both.

I would only return to the Sandy Beach Hotel if they upped their game, especially with the vegan options for dinner and brought in Smart TV's and gave you more water, it seems they are a bit tight and cut some corners!!

I recently stayed at Sandy Beach Hotel and overall had a very enjoyable stay.

The hotel's biggest selling point is its fantastic beachfront location. It is right on the beach, with beautiful swimming pools and plenty of sun loungers available throughout the day. The hotel is also spotlessly clean, both in the rooms and the public areas.

The staff were wonderful—friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The hotel has a smaller, more personal feel than some of the larger resorts, which created a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The rooms were equipped with a kettle, tea and coffee facilities, complimentary toiletries, and bottled water was provided at meal times. Snacks such as sandwiches and pastries were available at certain times during the day.

There were a few downsides. The TV was quite dated and, during my stay, there were no English-language channels available. The air conditioning also felt a little old and could do with an upgrade. The hotel is dog-friendly, which may suit some guests, but wasn't something I personally liked. I arrived after midnight so there was a salad in my room for me

A useful tip for future guests is that it may be worth comparing prices, as I found it cheaper to book through a third-party provider. There is also a convenient shop directly across the road for any essentials.

Overall, Sandy Beach Hotel offers excellent value, a fantastic beachside location, lovely pools, very friendly staff, and a clean, comfortable environment. I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday.
