Vassos Nissi Plage Hotel

Horror experience! I do not understand how this hotel has so many good reviews. Except from the location and nice cleaning stuff, there is nothing to recommend about it. Breakfast is so boring. The same every single day. Only one option of milk and no kids options. The bananas are peeled and sliced and of course they are already oxidised. I made a comment at the reception about this but nothing happened. The fruit corner has very limited options (apples,pears,kiwi, pineapple, peach - all sliced). During the rest hours, between 13-14 they started to drill and made a lot of noise so kids were woken up by this. I called at the reception twice and nothing happened. This is not the attitude in a 4* hotel. The dinner is ok because they change it daily, but the cakes are horrible. You can only feel the sugar taste and nothing else. They are supposed to have mini disco, but it is never there. There is just a nice lady who can offer you some collouring books or put you some music to dance with her, but nothing like mini disco. This hotel is soooo overrated. I'd never advice someone to choose this hotel unless they don't care about this details. We stayed at NissiBlu last year and you could not compare them... NissiBlu is something like 3* over this one.

Our stay at this hotel was excellent until the very last moment. Unfortunately, the check-out experience completely overshadowed what had otherwise been a wonderful visit.

The hotel charged my credit card for a bottle of Prosecco before our arrival. I have both the payment confirmation and my bank statement clearly showing the transaction. Despite this, during check-out at around 3:00 a.m., the receptionist insisted that the bottle had not been paid for.

Even after my guests showed proof that the payment had already been processed, the receptionist refused to acknowledge it. Instead of checking with the accounting department or investigating the issue, he behaved in an extremely rude, arrogant and unprofessional manner.

What happened next was shocking. He referred to my guests as "drunk Russian women" who supposedly could not remember what they had paid for. This was not only offensive but also completely false. My guests are Polish, not Russian, and there was absolutely no justification for such a xenophobic and humiliating remark.

When I tried to speak with him by phone, he refused to talk to me, claiming that he did not know who I was or where I was calling from, even though my credit card had been charged for both the room and the Prosecco. He did not allow me to explain the situation.

Finally, he refused to let my guests leave the hotel unless they paid for the Prosecco a second time. They had no choice but to pay again despite the fact that the first payment had already been successfully processed.

Mistakes in billing can happen. However, insulting guests, making discriminatory assumptions, refusing to verify payment records, and forcing customers to pay twice are completely unacceptable. A simple phone call to the accounting department could have resolved the matter within minutes.

I sincerely hope the hotel's management investigates this incident, refunds the duplicate payment immediately, and takes appropriate action regarding the receptionist's conduct. No guest should ever be treated this way.
