Dome Beach Hotel

We absolutely loved everything about our stay at Dome Hotel! Everything was taken care of, nothing was missing, and we had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable holiday. However, what truly made the experience special was the hospitality. The staff and the overall atmosphere made such a wonderful impression on us.

I have to admit that I was a little skeptical before arriving because I had read some negative reviews, particularly about the food and cleanliness. I was worried that the food would consist mainly of deep-fried options, but I couldn't have been more wrong! There was such a wide variety of food that everyone could find something to enjoy. There were plenty of salads, vegetables, and different dishes to choose from, with options suitable for guests of all ages. Even our 6-month-old baby had something appropriate to eat! I especially appreciated that they had gentler food options for slightly older children, too. It really felt like they had thought about the needs of families and guests of different ages.

I had also read reviews complaining about the cleanliness of the rooms. Again, this was not our experience at all. The rooms were cleaned so frequently, with towels changed and bins emptied regularly, that I never felt the room was dirty.

I think it's important to share our experience because negative reviews can create expectations that simply don't reflect what you might actually experience. We were so happy with our stay, and the hospitality, food variety, and cleanliness all exceeded our expectations.

Very Disappointing – Far Below 4-Star Standards

We stayed at Dome Hotel for 9 days, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. The hotel does not provide the standards or services you would expect from a 4-star establishment.

Cleanliness was a major issue. Our room was poorly cleaned, the bathtub was yellow and heavily stained, and the furniture was old and neglected. The bathtub leaked badly, and the toilet brush smelled horrible. We honestly felt disgusted even having to shower. I will attach photos to show the condition of the room.

The bed was very uncomfortable. The pillow filling had clumped together, and instead of a proper mattress topper, there was simply an extra piece of foam placed on top of the mattress, which did nothing to improve comfort, and the bedding did not fit properly. Even worse, the bedding was never changed during our entire 9-day stay. The balcony was also poorly maintained, with a damaged table and dirty chairs.

The food was bland, tasteless and repetitive. On many evenings, the only things we could enjoy eating were fries and chicken nuggets. Drinks were not included with dinner, and sometimes the staff seemed annoyed when we chose not to order any.

Another serious concern was that personal belongings went missing from our room. Regardless of their value, this is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the security of guests’ belongings. It made us feel uncomfortable and undermined our trust in the hotel.

Sunbeds and umbrellas at the beach are also an additional expense: €3.50 per sunbed and €3 per parasol, adding up to approximately €10 per day for two people.

It is such a shame, because the surrounding area is beautiful and the beach is stunning. The hotel has so much potential, but it seems that not enough is being invested in maintenance and service quality. Unfortunately, the beautiful location cannot make up for the poor conditions.

I would not stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting the standards of a 4-star establishment. It is a real shame to see such a beautiful location let down by a hotel that fails to deliver what it promises.
