Atlantica Sungarden Beach

Been coming to this hotel for years. Great atmosphere and suitable for everyone having a more quiet relaxing pool and a pool that has music and is slightly louder. Lovely hotel and very polite staff. Rooms are lovely and clean. Restaurant has a good variety of food with each night being different theme. Restaurant staff very polite and very welcoming. Good catering for gluten free. Best hotel in Ayia Napa.

Well from to finish the holiday was excellent, sea view was excellent, short walk to the beach view from the infinity pool was amazing. A special mention to nicos and lady in the pool bar maybe sofia they are a credit to you there customers experience was excellent especially Nicos on the terrace he was friendly kept asking if we need anything he made our holiday. The cleaner on 5th floor with glasses quite young said morning every day room was clean we were in 517, I said it was my partners birthday i had a bottle of bubbly. Really enjoyed the week have been to the aeanea resort in nissi beach 4 times recently but really enjoyed this holiday.

Just returned from a week here, spoke to a lot of people who loved it. When I asked where they usually went, then I could understand. It was just a cheap getaway for us for some R&R, but we wouldn't return as I dont feel it was 4 star. We didnt complain, but it needs improvement. Good points:

1. Room was lovely as we upgraded to a balcony with sunbeds overlooking the beach.
2. Staff were all lovely, but special mentions to Aman in the dining room - always smiling and happy to see you. Ismail - wow his bloody marys were the best. He was constantly trying to teach staff the 7 ingredients, but when he wasn't watching, I gave up ordering as some only used 4 and was awful. Ana - she is an assett, great waitress, but friendly and welcoming always to everyone. Finally the guy who did the afternoons at the adult pool bar, great, but sorry - forgot his name.
3. Can walk out of hotel and go to the left for the sea cave walk, right to the ayia napa marina or up to the sculpture park or bus stop, so great area for us.
4. Got a sunbed around quiet adult relaxing pool anytime. There are kids allowed in the pool (not in the infinity pool, but the one next to it) But they have to be fairly quiet and not jump, shout etc. There is a large family pool at the other end, where they do entertainment and have the snack bar.
5. Pool area and rooms are clean.
6. Both a la carte restaurants fab, lovely food, far too much in the tapa though!!

Not so good points:

1. All rooms narrow, you can hardly get around the bottom of the bed.
2. NOISE OMG IT IS SO NOISY. The corridors are like hospital ones. White, clinical and extremely echoey. You can hear people come out of the lift/stairs and talk/shout/sing the whole length of the corridor. Because its Ayia Napa, not only is this because of really early/late flight times, but the drinking revellers. So we didnt get a lot of sleep all week.
3. Spiders around pool, husband didnt notice, so not sure if they were attracted to me, but at least 5 a day. AND THEY BITE!!! Lifeguard was aware of them.
4. There was not a lot of UK people here, this is not a bad thing, however the tourists that were there were so rude. No one said please/thank you to the staff. Pushed in front of you. Just rude. I did talk to staff about it and they said its usually just the UK ones who are polite. This is a shame, manners cost nothing.
5. Vaping and smoking around the pool, I wish there were set areas, as I hate breathing 2nd hand vape/smoke in.
6. Food was never particuarly hot. Plenty of choice but i do like hot food.
7. Not environmentally friendly with paper cups for every drink around the pool. And all the desserts were in individual plastic cups that are just thrown away.
8. No drinks service around the pool, so you had to queue. Very occasionally drinks table service at night, but not reguarly - regardless of how much you tip. I do like table service. Even have to get your own coffee in the morning at breakfast and I cannot remember having to do that at any hotel previous.

We did enjoy, but were knackered through lack of sleep , we did complain and were offered to move to the bungalows near the kids pool, but I couldn't see it being much quieter and it was only a week. We wouldn't go back.
