Me and my boyfriend we stayed here one week and it was good. The rooms are spacious which was nice surprise, bigger than we expected and had small kitchen which is very practical. The apartment was clean when we arrive and the staff at reception was friendly and helpful. The pool area is good place to be in the day and food from hotel is good and reasonable price. But we must say the place is very much for young groups and party people. Location is very good, only few minutes walk to the strip which we liked very much. Overall for the price we think it is decent choice.
The first night I found a toenail in my bed, when I asked the grumpy gentleman at reception to change the sheets, he replied that at that time the cleaning ladies were not there and that I would have to pay an extra supplement anyway. Scandalous.
I have just returned from a 10-day stay at Anthea Hotel Apartments, and unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing. The biggest issue throughout our stay was cleanliness and housekeeping. During the entire 10 days, our room was only attended by a cleaner twice, and one of those visits was simply to replace towels rather than actually clean the room. The floor was swept or mopped only once during the whole holiday, bins were not regularly emptied, and basic supplies were not replenished. We were never given spare toilet rolls and had to purchase our own from a local shop because housekeeping failed to restock them, even after we complained to reception. For a hotel apartment, this is completely unacceptable. The overall cleanliness of the room remained poor, and I will be uploading photos to show the condition. We raised these issues with reception during our stay, but unfortunately nothing improved. We also tried breakfast at the hotel one morning. The breakfast was advertised as a “jumbo breakfast” costing €13 per person, so we expected good quality and value. However, the food arrived cold. We asked for it to be replaced, but the replacement meals also came back cold and inedible. Because of this, we refused to pay, which resulted in staff being very rude and unprofessional towards us. Due to the lack of cleaning and the poor condition of the room, we requested a late check-out. Although we were given a “discounted” rate, we were still charged €20, which we felt should have been waived given the issues we experienced throughout the stay. Ayia Napa itself is lovely, but sadly the accommodation let the holiday down. Basic standards of cleanliness, customer service and food quality were simply not met. I would not return to Anthea Hotel Apartments and would strongly advise future guests to consider carefully before booking.
Absolutely raging with this place.
Stayed here for 7 days and the room got cleaned once. Once in a full week. No fresh bedding the entire stay, and trying to get clean towels was a joke. Asked the cleaners for towels and got told "not today." Went to reception thinking they'd sort it and was told there wasn't a single clean towel in the whole hotel. How does a hotel run out of towels? It's beyond me.
The room was absolutely minging. We stayed here last year, paid pretty much the exact same price, and got a far better room. This year we've been lumped with a room that's much uglier, run down, and nowhere near worth the money. Feels like they've taken our cash and stuck us in whatever was left.
Then there's the nonsense with the pool. We went in after 8pm and got threatened with the police being called. The police! For sitting in a hotel pool. Then the very next night there were folk in the pool after 8pm and not a single member of staff came near them. So clearly the rules only apply when it suits them.
Honestly, the place is a shambles. Poor cleanliness, no fresh bedding, apparently no towels in the entire hotel, awful room standards, and staff making up the rules as they go along. We've paid good money for this holiday and feel completely let down. Won't be back, and I'd tell anybody thinking of booking here to spend their money elsewhere
Cleaning was improper and they barely give new towels and toilet paper and the sheets were dirty when I told them to change the sheets they put new one one and there was hair and some or she stuff then yesterday I saw something brown under my mattress and lifted it to find big stains all over it
