Hotel very modern and staff helpful enough. It is quite far from the strip if walking but bus 101 goes there and comes every 15 minutes or so. We went half board wish we didnt as I didnt enjoy one meal ,so was a waste for us as had to eat out each day after day 3. Food is more or less the same everyday and not much variation at all. We gave up on breakfast after day 2. Entertainment wise was okay but everything finishs early so if your wanting a lively environment it wouldn't be this hotel. Rooms are nice and spacious and cleaned everyday. I give this hotel 3 stars
Lovely hotel just came back couldn’t fault a thing lovely friend staff spotless hotel, lovely food and good choice of food , rooms cleaned daily , would definitely go back
We spent a wonderful week at the Amethyst Hotel in Ayia Napa, and I can confidently say that everything was perfect!
The hotel is clean, modern, and extremely comfortable. I would especially like to highlight the cuisine: the food is simply brilliant, and we could choose from a variety of delicious dishes every single day.
They also offer great and varied activities daily. A huge praise goes to László, the animator, for the amazing atmosphere and entertainment. He was incredibly kind, approachable, and fun, making our stay even more memorable.
If you visit Cyprus, I highly recommend this hotel from the bottom of my heart. We would definitely return!
We spent some wonderful days at the Ametyst Hotel in Cyprus. The hotel’s location is excellent; everything was easily and quickly accessible. The food was incredibly delicious and varied; we found something to our liking at every meal. I would especially like to highlight the waitstaff, who were incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay. Laci, the entertainer, was simply brilliant! He created a great atmosphere, did an amazingly professional job, and ensured we didn't have a single dull moment. We will definitely be back!
We’ve just returned from a wonderful stay at the Amethyst Hotel and wanted to leave an honest review.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the lovely reception staff who made us feel welcome straight away. Check-in was quick and informative, and they explained everything we needed to know about the hotel.
The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The refurbished rooms are modern, fresh and well looked after, making our stay even more enjoyable.
The pool is a great size and, during the week, there were always plenty of sunbeds available. However, weekends were a different story. The hotel allows local guests to use the facilities, which in itself isn’t a problem. The issue is that paying hotel guests struggled to find available sunbeds because it became extremely busy. Unfortunately, some local families also left rubbish, cups and food packaging on the tables and around the pool area. I actually found myself collecting and throwing away a pile of litter that had been left behind. It made the pool area feel chaotic and is something I think the hotel should address, as it lets an otherwise lovely experience down.
The food was excellent throughout our stay. I’m genuinely surprised by some of the negative reviews because there was plenty of choice every day. The themed evenings were a lovely touch, and even my son, who is an incredibly picky eater, always found something he enjoyed.
The entertainment was enjoyable too. The entertainment representative was fantastic with the children and created a lovely atmosphere without ever making guests feel pressured to join in, which was really appreciated.
Also if you want to go into town, there’s a bus stop over the road which is only €2
I also have to give a special mention to the reception manager. During our stay, we thought my son had run out of his epilepsy medication. Without hesitation, he immediately arranged for replacement medication to be delivered the following day. Thankfully, we found the missing medication before it arrived (typical!), but I can’t thank him enough for his kindness, efficiency and genuine concern. That level of customer service was exceptional and meant a great deal to us.
Overall, we had a fantastic holiday. Aside from the weekend pool situation, which I hope the hotel reviews, we couldn’t fault our stay. The staff are a real credit to the hotel, the food is excellent, the rooms are beautiful, and we would happily return.
