Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

We recently stayed at the Atlantica Miramare Beach and had a very mixed experience overall.
On the positive side, the hotel itself and the staff were excellent. Our room was lovely, clean, and comfortable, with a kettle provided and a beautiful sea-view balcony right on the coastline. The location is stunning, with the hotel practically on the seafront. You step out onto a small path and then straight onto the beach. The staff were consistently helpful and friendly throughout our stay, and I want to give a special mention to Lloyd, who went above and beyond in looking after both me and my elderly mother, even helping to repair her mobility aid when it broke.
The kitchen staff were also outstanding, particularly with gluten-free/celiac requirements. They clearly explained what I could and couldn’t eat, checked with the chef when needed, and even provided gluten-free bread. When we missed a couple of evening meals due to visiting family, we were given vouchers so we didn’t go without.
However, there were some significant downsides. The local area has very little to do, so if you are looking for nightlife or entertainment, this is probably not the right location. My elderly mother also found the beach difficult to access due to broken pathways and pebbles, which limited mobility access.
A major issue during our stay was the amount of maintenance work taking place. On two mornings we were woken by noise from work directly below our room, and there was painting and sanding which created dust in the air. This aggravated my mother’s breathing. Several facilities were also closed throughout our stay, including pools, the jacuzzi, and the pool bar. Information from staff was inconsistent, with different answers given about when (or if) these facilities would open. This made the situation quite confusing at times.
It also felt like there was a noticeable change when a large organised tour group arrived mid-way through our stay. Suddenly signage changed, a lifeguard appeared, and previously closed facilities seemed to open. The same evening, dinner was moved without prior notice into a different restaurant space that was hosting a large group event. We arrived to find it very busy and were left feeling awkward and out of place, as there was no clear seating process for smaller guests.
Despite these issues, there were positives that cannot be ignored. The staff were genuinely excellent, the room was beautiful, and the setting right on the coast is stunning. There are also lots of friendly cats around the hotel and island, which was a lovely touch.
Overall, this could be a fantastic hotel given its location and staff, but our experience was impacted by ongoing maintenance, inconsistent communication, and facilities not being available as expected during our stay. A real mixed bag, depending on timing.
Atlantica Miramare Beach Hotel. We have visited Cyprus quite a few times but never Limassol so thought to give it a try. The hotel overlooks the sea in a nice position with plenty of room around the three pools and no lack of sunbeds. The beach however is not really suitable for sunbathing or beach activities, its very narrow and made up of pebbles and black volcanic sand. In the hotel we had use of one of the buffet restaurants the a la cart was closed, presumably as it was early season. The food was very good and the staff in the restaurant and bars gave excellent service. Some bars and restaurants on the main road into the main town which is really a bus ride away unless you can do the approximately 2 miles walk. The room was spacious and kept very clean, the double bed was one of the best we have ever had in a hotel. The bathroom could do with refurbishment, an over bath shower isn't really suitable in this rating of hotel. Old Town and the marina area in the centre of town are worth a visit. Intercity buses run to all the other large cities and towns are frequent and good value.
Great locstion right on tne beach. Lovely room with beautiful view from the forth floor, had uk outlets which was a nice surprise. The bathroom was decent size for a couple, the bath tub is a bit of a step up but there were hand holds to get in and out safely. Staff was attentive and friendly. Easy check in and out with no issues, make sure yo ask for safe key if you think you may want to use the safe. Your room is cleaned daily if you wish and to a high standard everytime. Which gave me confidence for the overall cleaning standard for the hotel as a whole. Breakfast selection was amazing and enough so you could really have something diffrent each morning. The pools were great and clean nice temperature thete where plenty of sun beds near the pools and beach. The bar was very lively at night and if you wanted to listen to the music you could easyly do so from your balcony or go down to the lobby/ bar area. I was happy with the value for money. I would definitely recommend to a friend.
A few days relaxation after a business trip. Some great and some not great things.
Not great: Rooms and corridors dated. Sort of pine 1990s. Clean. But dated.
Bath with over shower was a huge shock and very narrow and dangerous. White shower curtain! Ewww, and made it even more dangerous. No walk in shower as stated in write up. All rooms I saw were the same. Not seen such poor bathroom facilities in decades! Expect much more if 4 star.
Evening food / restaurant choice poor. The buffet room was great for breakfast but too bright for evening, felt like a canteen. We ate in the pool restaurant all evenings so not great choice. Nothing to offer very close by either.
Reception staff (and spa when getting pool towels) rude and unfriendly, at all times. We even told them we noticed a sea swimmer we had been watching from the hotel beach swam far out and didn't appear to come back! The woman was rude to me, shrugged and said "what do you want me to do?! the sea is nothing to do with me or the hotel". She told me if I was that worried I could call the authorities! Fair point but a bit rude! Also reception staff didn't want to give us a bottle of water - housekeeping neglected to replace on day 2. Eventually agreeing and thrusting it at us! They just continually made one feel an annoyance.
Room cleaning etc was sporadic.
Shop opened when it felt like it, despite times on their door. Didn't stock water anyway we found out. Alternative was a walk down the very busy main road to a mini mart. Which we had to do. Again, expect more if 4 star.
Great: We had to change our room on arrival due to some broken items and Lloyd was extremely helpful offering us 4 other sea-view rooms to choose from. He remained available, polite and helpful throughout.
Dimitris the Porter polite and helpful at all times too.
Pool bar / restaurant staff all very friendly and always excellent service.
All outside areas excellent. Spotlessly clean pool. Lifeguards on the ball - cleaning around, also noting if any children were in the adult pool and immediately asking the families to move to the family area.
Plenty of sunbeds and parasols available.
Relaxing vibe and ease to from pool to pool bar/restaurant just seconds away and open onto the terrace.
Disability friendly.
Everywhere clean, inside and out. .
Needs: redecorating and modernising in rooms, walk-in shower, bathroom making less dangerous, coffee machine, more water available, proper shop, ATM, decent restaurant, friendlier reception staff.
All in all a really nice place to stay and we would recommend, but it is, in our well travelled opinion, a good 3 star hotel.
Not 4 star .....until above looked at. Then it would be excellent.
Thanks Lloyd. We really did enjoy our stay though! Lovely relaxing time, and you are great at what you do 👍🏼
I booked a Delux Seaview Room which at a cost of €250 / night it would be fair & reasonable to expect a Premium Room . Not the case. There is a Seaview to the front but to the side is the hotels A/C & ventilation fans that are extremely noisy & not something you want to look at . My bathroom had brown stains on the bathroom walls & black mold around the edges. Several areas had grout that had fallen out causing staining. Under the bath was a maintaince hatch that was open & full of dust & several small insects. The shower is over a very tired bath with a solid plastic shower curtain which Premium hotels just don't use. Its not at all classy & definitely not expected in a room costing €250 a night. The TV is a tiny 24 inch set mounted in a 70a style cabinet that cannot be seen from the bed & can only be viewed from a tired very old fashioned sofa that is not at all comfortable. The tea & coffee facilities are what you would expect in a hostel. No cutlery. No Nespresso Coffee Machine , No premium tea on offer . There is no power points on either side of the bed & not one USB charger in the room. None of these issues would concern someone paying €100 or less a night but at €250 a night the same price I pay at the NYX or Crowne Plaza then yes its a real concern. In 2026 in a competitive hospitality industry don't charge Premium rates for very tired under maintained rooms. Its really not the way to perform .
