Lying amidst idyllic surrounds, this popular hotel is located at the heart of Amathus just 200 m from the local pebble beach that may be reached by using the hotel underground passageway. Links to the public transport network (bus lines), restaurants, bars and shops as well as the fascinating ruins of the ancient royal city are to be found nearby.
Renovated in 2023, this 4-storey hotel comprises 202 rooms and was recently refurbished to cater for guests' every requirements- business guests as well as holidaying families. Facilities include a vast foyer, a reception desk, a bar, a café, an Internet corner and an air-conditioned à la carte restaurant in addition to a hairdresser's salon and a souvenir shop.
The tastefully decorated rooms each come with a bathroom or a walk in shower, a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a radio, Internet access, a minibar/ fridge, air conditioning, central heating, a hire safe and a balcony. Guests may opt for a room facing inland, with side-on views or direct views out over the sea.
In the outdoor complex is a pool complex with a poolside snack bar, sun loungers, parasols and bath towels that have been laid out ready for use (complimentary). Further leisure options include a artificial grass tennis court (floodlighting; equipment hire for free) and table tennis, whilst various water sports are on offer on the beach. Darts may be played within the hotel and there is also a sauna to take advantage of(with additional fee). During the summer, the daytime and evening entertainment programmes provide some amusement for guests.
Guests may select their breakfast from an ample buffet; those who opt for an all-inclusive stay may choose between a selection of warm and cold snacks at several times of the day. In addition, those guests wishing to undertake an all-day excursion are offered a lunchbox service.

The good, the bad, but luckily no ugly!
We have just returned from a two week stay at the Atlantica Bay, Limassol.
On arrival late but received a warm welcome to the hotel with a glass of Prosecco and a butler took our cases to our room. We had booked a superior sea view room, and the room itself wasn’t a disappointment. It was modern, spacious and everything worked perfectly. It was clean and maintained well.
Sadly we opened our curtains and found we were directly facing the bar area/entertainment area, and other guests were sitting directly outside our balcony. Next morning we checked our view and found our sea view was hidden behind bushes, but also noticed we were over a stairwell which housed an extractor fan from the restaurant downstairs. We asked to be moved which the hotel arranged and after refusing a second room as it was by a lift we settled on a third room which was perfect!!
The restaurant provided a fab selection of meals, and whilst not all was to my taste there was so much to choose from you wouldn’t go hungry. The food was constantly being refreshed, nothing sat there for very long. There was also a great drinks selection offered in the restaurant, we only found out on day 5 that we could ask for wine by the bottle rather than by the glass. A special mention to Dean, his knowledge on wine despite it not being a personal favourite of his was fab, and he’s convinced a non rose drinker to try it, and I’m a convert! Thank you Dean!! Do join his wine tasting demonstration in the lobby, it was really informative!
Both al a carte restaurants were both amazing. At Sands restaurant they offered an amazing pork chop - it’s was huge!!
The animation team are brilliant. Both Dan and Max will keep you entertained, and whilst we only spent a small amount of time with Dan, we spent a lot of time with Max - he was BRILLIANT! Max is always on the go, and if it’s not water aerobics, he will be crafting, playing golf, water volleyball/basketball/netball, quizzes and not to mention the evening entertainment! Max is such a positive person, he’s enthusiastic, funny, energetic, and will definitely get you up joining in! Try the client disco, it’s hilarious!! Max made our holiday, we’re not ones for joining in, but he alone got us in our feet! Thank you Max!!!
There were a couple of niggles I do feel the hotel could address though -
Pool towels - sadly they can only be changed every 3 days. Given we’re all wearing sun cream, do get a bit hot and sticky, and are in and out of the swimming pool it would be nice to have these changed daily.
Al a carte restaurants - there are 2 restaurants on site but you are restricted to only visiting them once per restaurant per stay. For guests staying a week that sounds reasonable but for those staying longer it wasn’t enough. One visit per restaurant per week sounds far more realistic, as eating in the same buffet style restaurant for 12 out of the 14 days we stayed was a lot.
The lifts - there are three lifts in the hotel, a double set and a single one. The single lift was the slowest lift I’ve ever been in, in fact you could call the single lift, walk to the double set, call them and they still beat the single lift arriving. Everyone moaned about the speed of it!
The location of the hotel is a little quiet, if you wanted to go for a drink or meal outside the hotel your choices were very limited. There is a bus that can take you into Limassol for 2/3 euros although we were told there isn’t much going on there too so if quiet is for you then you’ll be fine.
Overall we had an amazing holiday, we met some incredible people and had plenty of laughs! Would we go again, probable not but only due to the location, nothing more!

Great place
Just returned from a fabulous stay the atlantica bay, the reception staff were very welcoming and told us all about the hotel and what we needed to know.The food was very good and varied and was all labelled for people with allergies etc,Yannis was always smiling and very helpful he even gave us the same number table every day so my wife was able to be nearer the food stations so she could get around with her bad leg.all the staff in the restaurant were always tidying up and cleaning everywhere, which we thought was very good. The waiters were very efficient and always quick to take orders for drinks , a special shout out to Rana who was always smiling and made our stay really relaxing as he was so good at his job. The hotel is spotlessly clean and all the staff are helpful and welcoming. The pool area is very big and there is never a rush for sunbeds , there are plenty to go round, We recommend going to the Sands restaurant for the pork chop (it's enormous).Our only concern is the smoking around the pool area ,which we feel as non smokers it should be restricted to a specific area ,as a lot of guests didn't like the smell of smoke around the pool area,also people playing there own music to loudly , we thought that was very inconsiderate to other guests, overall we loved our stay and we will hopefully return next year, We highly recommended this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday

Wonderful hotel /Beware late check out
We loved this hotel so much the food was the best The staff were all friendly and amazing service . Hotel was spotless. We had some good evening entertainment singers ect. We did not enjoy the theatre nights and the dancing night . Definitely not our thing . Oh and the film night . well we do that every night when we are at home . I found the daytime entertainment to be quite annoying sometimes to loud shouting . The music could be annoying during the daytime .Especially when you were playing music thst you would have for kids entertain.It’s an all adults hotel we definitely don’t want that . My biggest issue with this hotel was the recent refurb in the bedrooms . No mirrors above the dressing table . I had to dry my hair sat on the floor in a small corridor next to the waredrobes. This needs addressing. I am 55 and had a recent back operation . .This was not ideal and made it extremely difficult to get ready each evening . This needs addressing . . We kept our room on until 6 pm because we had a late flight . I don’t mind paying to keep my room on for comfort and to enjoy our last days holiday . I was shocked how much you were charging £140 euros . To be honest I found that extortionate. Other 5 x hotels in Cyprus charged us this year 80 euros . We decided to pay it so it did not ruin our last day . To find the cleaner had not even bothered to clean our room . Please tell me how this then equates to 140 euros? what exactly are we paying for ? .I was disappointed and felt totally fipped off We have never been charged so much before . I am addressing this to management for a partial refund for the room not being cleaned . Apart from these issues we had a fabulous time and would definitely return . When you book your flights beware of the late room check out cost .
FABULOUS
Another fabulous week at The Bay! We were here in June and couldn’t resist another cheeky trip. As always the hotel is immaculately clean and well maintained, as are the outside areas and grounds. Lovely welcome late at night with drinks and food available. Beautiful, spacious room with a glorious view. However, all that apart, this hotel is memorable for its wonderful staff. Everyone friendly, welcoming and accommodating, from the cleaning staff to the management. Special mention as ever to Jac and Nishant who are both such lovely charming characters when arriving and leaving. Yiannis, Dean and all the restaurant staff look after us all so well and make sure that everything is tip top. The bar staff are amazing, they are there to get you another drink as soon as you put your glass down! Special mention for the lovely Nela, such a warm friendly young lady. As ever, Nama restaurant didn’t disappoint, service second to none. We had lunch at Sands and that too was amazing. The “pork chop” 🤣 filled the plate and was delicious. Service with a smile there too and a lovely atmosphere. Again the staff go above and beyond. I cannot wax lyrical enough about this superb hotel and can’t wait to return. One thing I have to mention is that very few people actually make the effort to dress up for dinner which is a great shame and disservice to this beautiful hotel. I know you’re on holiday but still it’s lovely to show respect for all that they do. Almost forgot! Love how the gorgeous cats and kittens are cared for here. 🐈⬛ See you next year!
