The hotel and staff are fantastic. Very helpfull and friendly. Antonis, the barman was very knowledgeable. The buffet food was priced reasonably and overall we were very impressed
I really liked the Ajax Hotel. It was my first time in Cyprus, and this was my first hotel. Overall, the staff were very friendly and polite, and spoke several languages, so you could ask them about anything. I remember there was a lovely chambermaid on our floor who was happy to give directions on how to get to various places in the city. Especially on the bus to the shopping centre. The rooms are quite comfortable; I stayed on the third floor, and they were cleaned every day. What was a pleasant surprise was that you could also have your laundry done every day; this was included in the price. And that applied to all your clothes – there were no restrictions. Admittedly, there wasn’t even a pen to sign the laundry slip, but that wasn’t a big deal; I borrowed one from my neighbours. The hotel also sells adapters for €3, which was very handy as I had chargers that didn’t fit European sockets. In total, I stayed at the hotel for about a week, had breakfast there – it was quite tasty – and also went out and about in the city. It’s in a convenient location, with everything within walking distance. Would I stay at this hotel again? I think so. I was left with a positive impression. Perhaps it was down to the trip itself, but the hotel is certainly not bad. Opposite there’s a pizzeria where you can grab a bite to eat if you fancy a quick meal. Food delivery services are quick too; I used Bolt. You can pay in cash there (we don’t have that in my country). By the way, regarding cultural differences, here people smoke right at the tables during breakfast. This is unusual for me, as we haven’t had that for a long time. But it’s only on the outdoor terrace. Inside, everything’s fine.
I stayed at Ajax Hotel in Limassol, Cyprus, and after checking out I unfortunately forgot a personal item inside the room. I contacted the hotel, expecting at least a basic level of assistance and professionalism. Instead, I received a cold, dismissive “not found” response, with no explanation and no indication that anyone made a serious effort to investigate. What makes this even more suspicious is that I clearly described the item as a women’s one, yet the response referred to a men’s item instead, which strongly suggests the request was not handled carefully or responsibly. I requested a second check, but the answer was exactly the same, as if the issue was being deliberately brushed aside rather than properly addressed. Even worse, when I asked twice for management or customer service contact details in order to formally report the issue, I received absolutely no reply. Complete silence. For a hotel that claims to be 4-star, this level of unprofessionalism and lack of accountability is unacceptable. The item was not left in a public area like the lobby or restaurant It was left inside the room. It is extremely difficult to believe that it simply “wasn’t found.” The way this situation was handled raises serious concerns about the hotel’s procedures and the level of trust guests can have regarding their personal belongings.
Extremely disappointing experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who expects professionalism, responsibility, and respect.
I rarely leave reviews, but Ajax Hotel truly deserves one. The staff are exceptionally friendly, attentive and genuinely caring. Special thanks to David at reception for arranging a room close to the elevator due to my husband’s mobility issues. Another special thank you to Andia, the events manager — she is extremely attentive, responsive and caring, with a truly personal approach to each guest. Clean, warm rooms with balconies, great pool and gym included, excellent spa. Breakfast was good — not overly extensive, but more than sufficient and enjoyable. We will definitely return. Exceptional Service and Genuine Care
Awesome location, amazing place! The rooms and the pool are great! A huge variety of food and drinks and the breakfast is quite the feast! Cannot wait to visit Ajax again next year!
