This charming and comfortable venue is located directly on the clear blue Adriatic Sea in the Bay of Lapad. The popular promenade is within walking distance, and a bus that goes to the Old town stops just in front of the hotel. Dubrovnik Airport is approximately 23 km away. The cosy and comfortable are carefully decorated and equipped with details that make all stays pleasant and priceless. The restaurant features one of Dubrovnik's most beautiful terraces with magnificent sea views and serves tantalising dishes, with a wine list to match. Those who want to enjoy a light Mediterranean meal and a chilled drink can visit the Lido beach bar, it is also the place from where to grab a colourful cocktail during the day while enjoying the pebbled beach.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
This hotel is all about the location. Right on the beach and a 10 minute cab ride to the Old Town, so best of both worlds. Inside it’s like 1970’s Yugoslavia. Simple, dated but clean. Breakfast was very good. It depends what you’re after, we were only here 1 night, glad it wasn’t a 2 week holiday, but it fitted the bill as we could enjoy a sea swim but still be able to explore Dubrovnik.
Great location, hotel is as described could do with a little reverb as tired in places, however it’s kept clean by the lovely friendly cleaners. Breakfast was lovely plenty and lots of choice. We had one meal in the evening we weren’t impressed, bland felt rushed to eat and go and just not great for the cost…
The beach directly outside the hotel is gorgeous, we had some great days here. It gets very very busy so hard to find a spot.
The area outside of the hotel is perfect for dining, drinks or just relaxing in the evening. We used a couple of supermarkets, had an awful experience in the Tommy one where I tried to purchase some snacks in the bakery part by front entrance for my son, ‘3 locals’ queueing around me talking to the lady behind the counter one by one pushed in front of me and laughed with her, obviously talking about me and made it clear she literally wasn’t going to serve me :( after the 4th local pushed past me I walked away really upset by the experience and didn’t visit there again.. they laughed as I walked away, absolutely disgusting and I did get a feel they really don’t like certain nationality’s in parts of Croatia… this didn’t spoil our trip and we learnt to behave the way we were treated which is a shame, we are polite and courteous they could learn a lot from this it happened a few times different establishments.
Overall we loved the country some beautiful parts some great food
🚨 ⚠️ WARNING — DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS HOTEL ⚠️ 🚨
Do not book with this hotel unless you are 100% certain you will be able to travel. Based on my experience, if your circumstances change, you should not expect to receive your money back, a credit, or any meaningful assistance — even when the circumstances are completely unforeseeable and outside of your control.
⭐ 1 STAR — EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE
I booked this hotel in Croatia as part of my honeymoon, travelling from Melbourne, Australia. Unfortunately, my wedding had to be cancelled after I experienced family violence and serious abuse from my fiancé. I was forced to end the relationship for my own safety, which meant that my wedding and honeymoon could no longer go ahead.
I contacted the hotel in June, several months before my reservation in September, and explained my circumstances. This was an incredibly difficult and distressing time for me, and I hoped the hotel would show even a small amount of compassion and understanding.
Unfortunately, they did not.
The hotel refused to provide a refund, refused to provide a credit, and did not offer any reasonable alternative or assistance whatsoever.
I understand that hotels have cancellation policies and that businesses need to protect themselves. However, there should be some level of humanity and compassion when dealing with exceptional circumstances such as family violence and the cancellation of a wedding and honeymoon.
What I found particularly disappointing was that I contacted them months before the September reservation. They had plenty of time to potentially release the room and allow another guest to book. Instead, they were completely unwilling to work with me or find any solution.
This was not a situation where I simply changed my mind about going on holiday. I was dealing with an extremely serious personal situation and had been forced to completely change my life and cancel my wedding for my own safety.
The way this hotel handled the situation was cold, unhelpful and extremely disappointing.
I am sharing this review because I would want other travellers to know what they may be dealing with before handing over their money.
⚠️ My advice: THINK VERY CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING THIS HOTEL.
If something unexpected happens and you are unable to travel, do not assume the hotel will work with you, provide a credit or show compassion, even if you give them months of notice and have serious circumstances outside your control.
For me, this experience has completely ruined any desire I had to ever stay at this hotel. I would never book here again and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.
We booked and paid a significant amount for an oceanfront room specifically for the view. When we arrived on Saturday, we were given a room that was not the oceanfront room we had reserved. We immediately went to the front desk to address the issue, but they refused to move us, stating that they could not accommodate a room change.
The hotel offered us a complimentary dinner and lounge chairs as compensation. Those were not what we wanted—we wanted the oceanfront room we had paid for. However, we accepted the offer because we were unsure whether the hotel would provide any additional compensation after our stay. We were also told that the manager would be back on Monday, so we planned to follow up.
The lounge chairs were also not actually usable because all of the chairs were already taken, so we were unable to use that portion of the offered compensation.
Unfortunately, the room itself was extremely disappointing. It was outdated and showed significant wear, including mold in the bathroom, scratched and worn furniture, dents in the walls, and an overall condition that did not match what was advertised or what we expected for the price we paid. The food we received was also below average.
Had we known in advance that we would not receive the oceanfront room we specifically reserved and that the room would be in this condition, we would not have stayed at this hotel.
After returning home, we followed up with the hotel and requested an appropriate adjustment to our bill. The hotel refused to provide a discount, stating that they had already compensated us with the dinner and lounge chairs.
In our opinion, a complimentary dinner and lounge chairs that were unavailable to us do not adequately compensate a guest who paid a premium for an oceanfront room and was not provided with the room reserved. We were not looking for extras—we simply expected to receive what we paid for.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and the way the hotel handled our concerns both during and after our stay made the situation even more frustrating. We would not return or recommend this hotel.
The Longer we stayed the better we liked it had taxi in 3/4 minutes every time
