We stayed at Valamar Lacroma for 5 days with 3 boys (aged 14, 12 and 6). The location was great and easy to get to - only 30mins from the airport. The staff were very accomodating with locating all of our rooms next to eachother. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The air con wasn't particularly great so we had to leave it on constantly whilst we were out during the day. Breakfast was fantastic with a great selection to suit all tastes. Dinner was great, but with two fussy children the options could be difficult! Waiter service for drinks on an evening could be slow but not a huge issue.
The pool area was great and very clean. Plenty of space and no one was fighting for sunbeds! The snack bar was good but could do with a few more options, especially for kids. The food was a little pricey.
Would reccommend using the hotel next door with the slides if you have younger children. The pool set up was excellent too - we only used it on the last day but wish we had visited before. You can also use the private beach of the Princess hotel, but we found it really busy.
Coral Beach Club was fantastic for a day at the beach but it was pricey!! Cashless system so be prepared to take a credit card! Copacabana beach was also lovely but just not as many facilities.
The staff in the hotel were always very helpful if there was a problem. It was a larger hotel than comes across on the website. With a big events and conference facility. So if there were guests attending whilst we were staying I imagine the feel of the place could be different.
Great base for exploring more of the Dalmatia coast and Dubrovnik. Easy bus system in the Old Town from outside the Valamar complex. All of the other Valamar Hotels are easy to access. It's like being a part of one massive hotel complex with adjoining paths etc. Maro World was great for the kids and there is a kids club if you want it. Various activities on during the day and if you want to escape the heat for a little while.
Overall though, an excellent stay, relaxing and the kids loved it. We would definitely go back.
Love the location, nice beaches onsite and close by, beautiful people, all good looking, very friendly, honest. A place where you feel safe free relax and enjoy.
Beautiful setting, nice hotel, very helpful staff. Good trips and access to Dubrivnik Town. Like elsewhere in this area - rather spendy.
Really lovely hotel. Staff were wonderful! V level upgrade definitely worth it for quieter dining and nice pool and beach side facilities. We were made to feel super special throughout the stay.
Really enjoyed my stay here up until a member of staff at breakfast lied to me about putting cheese into my omelette, which meant my last day was spent horrendously ill. I specifically asked 4x for no cheese, and made it clear. When asked a final time, she said there is no cheese it in. Half way through I noticed there was. I wouldn’t have mind waiting for another. Everyone makes mistakes but it’s the fact she lied and hoped I wouldn’t realise. I think dietary requirements should be taken extremely seriously and now thanks to this member of staff my final day and my health was hugely affected. When I made the hotel aware. They just said sorry, and thanks for letting them know. To reiterate my previous point. Dietary requirements should be taken extremely seriously and I don’t believe anyone in this hotel does.
