Good but some minor issues
Just got back from 11 nights at Rixos Dubrovnik.
The welcome was great from reception staff, including an explanation of the hotel etc.
The bar and restaurant are lovely, breakfast and bar food was great. Unfortunately the air conditioning wasn’t working to these areas so was extremely hot, the sports bar was unbearable which was a shame. Main Bar has excellent views over the bay.
Had two meals at Greek theme pool side restaurant. The staff were great and friendly and the food was excellent. Can’t help but think the hotel is missing the opportunity of having Croatian (even Bosnian cuisine- see below recommendation) food as on holiday in Croatia not Greece!!
The food and drink are expensive but not unexpected for nature of hotel of this type. The pool bar food needs ice cream for families, and lighter smaller food options such as as sandwiches for lunch.
Great to have free pool table, table tennis and table football.
The hotel location is great with the old town about 20 min walk away. Not much around the hotel but several supermarkets, a bakery and few restaurants. Would recommend the Taj Mahal restaurant which serve Bosnian cuisine; hotel should copy this idea.
There are some issues with the hotel, the pool toilets areas were often dirty and very smelly. The Dj music and general music around the pool was annoying and very loud. It’s not Ibiza no music required.
The room was tired with poor decoration, isolated damage fittings and damaged to the bed. Floor could have been cleaner on available. The corridor did have strange smell and was worn. More 4 than 5 star. Room had lovely views and would been lovely / perfect if better maintained.
Always got a sun bed and no ridiculous reserving early by guests.
Lastly I do need to praise the hotel’s life guard and hotel waiter who jumped into the sea during a storm to a save man that had been swept away by a wave from a rock. They were so brave and showed true heroism. They saved the man’s life and an absolute credit to the hotel. 5 stars for their actions.

The swimming in the ocean was spectacular Cliff, jumping was a bonus
The spa was beyond expectations

Ideal location with stunning views
Standard of cleanliness in hotel was good. We had a sea view room, with a large balcony which was stunning. Breakfast buffet was vast, freshly cooked omelette always a bonus for me. Option to sit outside and eat. Bar was a good size, again with the option to sit outside. Blankets provided as this was out of season and got a bit chilly at night. Location for walking to old town or lapad was ideal for us, easy to catch a bus if you’d rather. Easy to get to via uber from airport. Would stay here again.
Fabulous hotel
We had a wonderful and relaxing stay in Rixos. The location and ambiance of the Hotel was fantastic. High quality service from the staff. Deniz at the reception was very polite, helpful and kind. Other staff like Maya, Shiva, Sophia, Rose were exceptional in their service; always professional and helpful. Thank you to all of them.

We had an amazing stay at Rixos Premium Dubrovnik. First and foremost, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to Mr. Deniz, who took exceptional care of us throughout our entire stay. His kindness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality made us feel truly welcome from the very beginning. He went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, and we are incredibly grateful for everything he did.
The hotel itself exceeded our expectations. The sea is absolutely crystal clear, making it the perfect place to relax and swim. Breakfast was outstanding with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options every morning. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained.
Every member of the staff greeted us with a smile and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. Another great advantage is the location—Old Town is only about a 20-minute walk away, making it easy to explore Dubrovnik while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the hotel.
We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dubrovnik.
