This charming hotel is located within walking distance of the Old Town and well linked with other areas of the city by public transport. The city walls are about a 10-minute drive away, as are the central bus station and Banje Beach. Dubrovnik Airport is around 26 km from the hotel. The hotel offers spacious and bright rooms, equipped with LED TV, air-conditioning, minibar, tea and coffee facilities, safe and bathroom with a bathtub or a shower, hairdryer and toiletries. Most of the rooms feature partial views of the Adriatic Sea. Guests can enjoy at the outdoor swimming pool or simply relax on a cosy sunbed with cocktails.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Sorry - but this is not a 4* hotel - 3* at best The positive was a good location to the Old Town & buses to other areas However Our room at the back of the hotel overlooked the kitchen roof - with the extractor fan switching on at 5:45 in the morning. The view was of a brick wall & apartments Cleaners were often noisy early in the morning - so not great for sleeping Breakfast was limited - in comparison to another 4* hotel in the area where there was a fab choice - freshly cooked omelettes etc - the Lero should improve their choices/options Staff were friendly - but we were overcharged for drinks one night in the bar - the drinks were just not delivered - the staff argued that they had been delivered - they eventually took the drinks off the bill - personal opinion was that they were too busy watching the football Finally if the hotel have a policy of guests being unable to reserve sun beds they should enforce it. We witnessed 2 ladies chase the sun around the pool with all the beds they had reserved
This is a lovely hotel. Spacious rooms, clean, lovely bathroom. About a mile and a half walk down bank to the Dubrovnik old city itself (of course it's uphill on the way back). Regular bus stops along the route. The only cautions we have are firstly, try to get a room either internally facing or on a high level. This appeared to be a very popular business and tour bus hotel. We faced the car park and, although it didn't spoil the holiday, it could on occasion be loud outside. Secondly, the service from the staff in the bar let the hotel down. Whilst they seemed adept at serving us our first drink, they seemed equally adept at studiously ignoring us thereafter. We tried the bar three times, always with the same result. That said. These are minor complaints. All in all, great hotel.
Our standard room wasn't the quality I was expecting of a 4star hotel, but it was clean and comfortable with blackout curtains and a good shower. Our room overlooked the car park and main road so there was some external noise if the window was open.
The hotel is an gentle 30 minute walk downhill to the old town. After a day of walking around the town and its many stairs, the walk back up to the hotel seemed a lot longer (!), so the number 4 bus is very handy as it stops only a few metres from the hotel entrance.
The staff were all lovely and very helpful.
Breakfast is buffet-style with plenty of choice, more than enough to set you up for the day.
The food in the Piano Bar was exxellent - much better than in the restaurant next door that was recomnended to us!! I recommend the Dubrovnik Macaroni. The desserts were a limited selection, but delicious.
Overall, a very pleasant stay, and I would return in future.
Reception staff off hand almost rude except for Bruno. Restaurant staff brusque snd tried to cheat me on the change. Would not recommend.
Rating: 5/5 ⭐ Staying at Hotel Lero was the perfect choice from start to finish. The standout experience begins right at arrival: the front desk team is extremely friendly and welcoming, making you feel at home from the very first moment. The location is strategic and smart. Staying outside the walled city (Old Town) is a massive logistical advantage — especially if you are traveling with luggage or looking for a better, more accessible infrastructure. At the same time, getting to Old Town is quick and effortless, offering the perfect balance between the historic energy and a peaceful retreat afterward. To top it all off, the accommodations truly impress. The room is excellent, spacious, and very comfortable. Without exaggeration, everything worked perfectly. A perfect 10/10 experience that seamlessly combines functionality with genuine hospitality. I would highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again!
