Surrounded by ancient gardens of Mediterranean vegetation, the hotel enjoys a magnificent and quiet location on the coast of the Lapad peninsula, overlooking the port of Gruž. The beach is just a few meters away and the picturesque old town of Dubrovnik, is only 30 minutes away by bus. The airport is 45 minutes away by car. It combines old-world charm with contemporary interior design, creating a unique atmosphere of timeless elegance. The rooms are luxuriously decorated and equipped with convenient amenities for a pleasant stay. The hotel offers other excellent services and facilities, such as an outdoor pool, pool bar, lobby bar and a conference room. The gourmet restaurant will delight the most demanding palates. Without a doubt, the perfect place for a romantic getaway.

A lovely family run hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. I’d say generally better for adults. Some excellent restaurants within walking distance and the old town a short taxi or bus ride away. Relaxed and quiet atmosphere. It was a pleasure to stay here
My daughter & I stayed here for 3 nights & arrived home today. I booked this hotel after reading lots of good reviews & hoping they were accurate. Well, they were definitely accurate. The staff were welcoming on our arrival & our room was ready early. We booked a side sea view with balcony & whilst not actually the sea (which I knew beforehand due to its location), the view from our balcony was beautiful as it overlooked the harbour. Our room reasonably sized on the 5th floor, modern with a beautiful bathroom. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The pool area, though small, was never busy & there was always a sunbed to be found. Never saw anyone putting towels out early to reserve a spot! It was a peaceful hotel and fairly quiet even though it is very close to the road. I would say we were probably the youngest guests & the majority were over the age of 60 & there was zero entertainment, but this wasn't an issue as we used the hotel as a base to explore Dubrovnik and surrounding areas. The only downside for us was the food. There wasn't anything particular wrong with it, but it really wasn't to our taste & I'm veggie, so did struggle. Had to eat out for dinner in the end as I was struggling for protein, so I'd recommend B&B rather than half board if you have any dietary preferences or prefer British style cooking. Also, drinks were not included with dinner. Now I wasn't expecting this additional charge & I don't remember it being obvious when I booked. However, this may be completely normal. It's just I usually go all inclusive, so wasn't aware the drinks (even water) would cost extra. The location was good & getting to the old town via bus was easy via a short bus trip. The bus stop was a 10-15 min walk away and the return stop was directly outside the hotel. Convenient after a long hot day round the old city walls. Lapad beach was a 20-25 min walk & if you continued along the promenade for another 10 mins, you can visit the Cave Bar for drinks. Various places along the route for jumping into the sea. Lapad is absolutely beautiful & well maintained. Not a bit of litter in sight. The beaches were spotless. Overall happy we chose Lapad & this hotel. If you after a small, quiet base with minimal facilities & good location, this hotel is perfect.
I booked a seven day stay at Hotel Lapad for my wife and I to celebrate our 40th (Ruby) Wedding Anniversary, as somewhere special and the Hotel Lapad certainly was that somewhere special. We arrived after the restaurant had closed in the evening, but a lovely cold buffet meal was ready for us which was amazing. Our room, 706, was spacious and well equipped with a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom. We had a nice side view of the marina, and the hotel is in a prime location across the road from the marina. Buffet breakfasts and evening meals were amazing with something for everyone, a wide and varied choice. Two bars, one on the street outside the hotel and one next to the pool were nice places to chill or listern to the live entertainment on about five nights a week. All the staff were friendly and extremely helpfull, but I must give special praise Goran who worked on reception. He was a wealth of knowledge about the area, and even suggested a tour of the local area on a TukTuk on our special day, which he booked for us. He also made other recommendations of places we could visit, and was always friendly and thoughtful. Also thanks to Zelyko in the restaurant, who, after I mentioned our wedding anniversary to him, arranged for a bottle of wine, a small bottle of liqueur, a varierty of sweets and cakes and a lovely letter of congratulations from the hotel to be put in our room after we went down for breakfast. Then that evening at dinner we were also given a glass of sparkling wine each, which we thought was extremely kind, and wonderful special touches. Some reviews state that the bus to Dubrovnik stops outside the hotel, however during our stay it had been re routed on a road way behind the hotel. This was no great hardship. All in all, the best hotel we have ever stayed in, we cannot recommend it enough, or praise the staff enough for making our special occassion very special. Thank you all.
Firstly, I was not expecting such a lovely location and view! We were on the waterfront, which is nice to walk along and view the boats. It’s particularly pretty at night when lit up. The mountains behind make a lovely backdrop.
The hotel itself is made from old stone and has some lovely features, but don’t let this fool you. Inside, is clean, modern and smells fresh. There is a spa-like smell in the main reception and stairwell.
The rooms, are fresh, modern and the bathrooms are clean. A little extra bonus was the Rituals products in the bathroom.
The restaurant has a good variety for breakfast and dinner and the food is cooked well. We had meals both in the bar and out the front (which has a slightly different menu) and the food was good.
The pool area was relaxing (no screaming or noise) and lovely and clean. Towels are provided free of charge, which I wish I’d looked up before I bothered to pack some.
Entertainment at night was also good - various musicians and a very relaxed atmosphere.
On our day trip to Montenegro (booked through the hotel reception team) they provided us with a packed breakfast to take on the bus. On booking our trip, the staff were very helpful and gave us all the information we needed to know.
All the staff we spoke to were very helpful - the cleaners, restaurant and bar staff, receptionists etc.
I can’t find fault with this hotel at all - I’d recommend it highly.
