Amazing coastal escape
Spectacular sea views, comfortable rooms, and a truly relaxing atmosphere.
Perfect home base in Dubrovnik
We stayed for four nights and absolutely loved our two beautiful sea view suites in the new building! The hotel is perfectly located just outside the city walls- you get a stunning view from the beach or pool deck and it is just a short stroll into town. Breakfast is excellent as is the bar and pool side service. We utilized the concierge for a last minute boat day (highly recommend) and the spa is beautiful if you are unlucky with a rainy day. I was also delighted to return to my room after a day at Lokrum island to find flowers and a delicious cake for my birthday. Excellent touch by the management.

Can’t complement Hotel Excelsior enough. Awesome location being walkable to everything, staff very attentive, clean, full buffet/custom order breakfast daily, and the most amazing concierge staff, Chiselle and Antonele, helped plan a magical vacation experience.
Fantastic Stay!
Wonderful hotel in Dubrovnik. Beautiful views, great rooms, and an outstanding location. Had a situation with one of the terrace doors in my room at 10 PM during my stay. Two of the staff went above and beyond. I wanted to thank Orsat and Franko for their help! Much appreciated.
Great location and incredible views!
The location and views can’t be beat if you are looking to stay in walking distance of the old city and still want a resort-like feel (caveat that the Villa Argentina will be similar once the renovations are completed). The staff are helpful and friendly (Ivana was notably helpful), and the food was surprisingly good and comparably priced to the nice restaurants in the old city. I had a fairly basic classic double room but it looked new and clean, had a reasonable amount of space although for two people I think you would want to upgrade to a larger room, and the bed (king) was very comfortable. The only thing to note is returning from the old city there is an uphill walk if you have mobility limitations. It’s a one way so if you need to take a taxi back you literally have to make a big out of the way circle. Other than that, it was pretty much ideal.
