The hotel is located in the centre of the Lapad peninsula, at 100 m from the main beach. Dubrovnik's historical old town is 3 km from the hotel and can be reached by bus. Dubrovnik airport is approximately 19 km from the property. The hotel offers 244 modern and spacious rooms. Each of the rooms comes with an en-suite bathroom, a hairdryer, TV, a minibar and a safe. All rooms have a balcony offering fabulous views out over the sea. Upgraded rooms additionally come with a sitting area and a bathroom with a whirlpool bath. Guests can relax in the outdoor swimming pool and swim up to the bar for a variety of cocktails, ice cream and other refreshments. Travellers are also invited to the spa where they can indulge with a diverse range of massage.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Grand Hotel Park was a perfect choice of accommodation for the 6 of us (couples). From the initial greeting, to the great tips/advice, comfort of the rooms & the cleanliness of the hotel…we couldn’t, personally, fault it.
HOTEL; Staff were friendly & approachable. Rooms clean, comfortable & adequate. Beds were comfy. Plenty of sockets/charging points. Powerful & hot shower. Warm/cool enough rooms. Shower gel, body lotion & soap provided, as well as slippers & dressing gown. The indoor/outdoor pool area, was nice, as was the reception area, enjoyed a few drinks there. We found it to have enough storage. Hairdryer & safe included. Mini bar, stocked at your request. Plenty of towels. Yes, I could nit pick a few things, but we were out all day long, so literally just showered & slept in the room, so all good for us.
B&B; A delicious breakfast, something to suit everyone’s preferences. A good selection of fruit, cereals, cooked breakfast items, breads, cakes, etc. The pancake oven was a nice touch, delicious fresh pancakes that we could make ourselves by the press of a button,
LOCATION; Absolutely ideal. Some lovely choices of restaurants & bars close by. The Promenada does some great cocktails. The Cave Bar is a must visit too. Take a walk along the sea, good path way. Takes about an hour to walk round it, lovely views & some good stop off points for refreshments.
TRANSPORT; We chose to use Bolt to get to our & about & to the old town, cheaper than a taxi & a fair price between the 6 of us.
Overall we had a lovely stay. Yes, I could find some faults, but the hotel suited our needs. We were out first thing & didn’t get back until late, so all good.
4* hotel at Lapad with a pebbley beach a 5 minutes walk away and local buses will get you into Dubrovnik Old Town in about 15 minutes. There are also restaurants nearby if you want to eat out. It has an outdoor and an indoor pool, a spa and a buffet style restaurant at mealtimes with a seaview.
Great location , with restaurants, bars , pebble beach and a promenade walk close by. Easy to get to the old town by bus. The reception area and rooms are lovely and modern, though could have done with more storage space particularly in the bathroom. Nowhere to put toiletries. Having said that, the bathroom was modern with the best shower. We had room 702 ( I had requested a high floor), which had a lovely sea view. Definitely worth the extra for the view. There is tea and coffee in the room and you get some fresh milk from the bar downstairs. So much nicer than UHT milk. All the staff were helpful and efficient. The buffet breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. We had opted for half board which was again a buffet. I didn’t find this as good as the breakfast. There was still plenty of choice so you will always find something you like, though I found the meat and fish to be over cooked. If you’re after a fine dining or restaurant experience then perhaps half board isn’t for you. The dining room is so large it’s almost like a canteen. No water provided . You can buy a bottle for 5 euros and then refill to bring down the next day. Wine is available for 25 euros a bottle and beer for 6 euros. We preferred to have water and then go for a drink at a bar after. The hotel seems to take in tour groups so perhaps caters to them. Swimming pools were good with towels provided. There is some work going on near by but it wasn’t disruptive.
We spent a week at the Grand Park recently. We were very impressed with everything and honestly couldn't find any negatives. This place is spotless, nothing too much trouble for staff, lovely rooms, regular clean towels and bedding. Breakfast was also amazing with lots of choices. Our room had a sea view, which was incredible. Also, the hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the nearest supermarket and the main strip which houses all the restaurants and bars. Hardly any shops in the area although there were a few touristy shops selling gifts etc. Lapad is about 15 minutes on the bus into Dubrovnik. Costs 2.50 euros each way. This hotel is a real gem and we would stay again next time.
Great location, clean and modern hotel, good pool and spa facilities. Dining and house keeping staff friendly and hard working. Fair prices at the hotel bar and buffet restaurant compared to outside the hotel. Breakfast has a great selection, something for everyone I would think. We ate lunch around the pool one day and it was also good. Buffet in the evening was €20 per person which seemed reasonable but we ate out in the evenings so I can't comment on choice or taste. Great views from the restaurant. The bad bits which unfortunately let it down. Reported the aircon twice and apparently it was fixed both times. It wasn't, the temperature never got below 24.6 degrees in our room which made it very stuffy. There seems to be no sound insulation between rooms. On two occasions we thought someone was in our room, once during the night which gave us quite a fright. You can literally hear people moving coat hangers on the wardrobe rail in the next door rooms. We heard wardrobe doors banging shut, people in the shower, furniture scraping loudly on the floor above us and either side as well as other noise. Occasional low level noise from nearby bars but that didn't bother us. The balcony's are really tight too. A small table and 2 chairs are squeezed on and you have to sidle around to sit down.
