Our property is in the immediate vicinity of transportation network, 1.2 kilometers away from the nearest beach, 23.2 kilometers away from the airport and 1 kilometer away from the harbor. Fantastic hotel , location , facilities etc… but particularly the staff make the hotel superior to others , so genuinely kind and efficient.. makes a big difference.. a must try

Very disappointing experience for a 5-star hotel
Very disappointing experience for a 5-star hotel
We stayed at Hotel Cornaro in Split this July and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience, particularly given that this is advertised as a 5-star hotel.
We were assigned Room 001, which is located directly in front of the reception area and next to the back storage room used by the housekeeping staff. The room was also on the ground floor and faced the road. It was extremely noisy throughout the night and into the early morning, with constant activity around reception and housekeeping. We barely slept during our stay.
We immediately raised the issue with the concierge and requested a refund because the room was simply not suitable for a comfortable night's stay. What followed was a very frustrating ordeal, with the complaint taking far more effort than it should have. Ultimately, we received only a €60 refund, and this was not processed until two months later.
For a hotel charging 5-star prices, this level of room allocation, handling of a legitimate complaint, and delay in resolving the issue is simply not acceptable.
The breakfast was good, but unfortunately we could barely enjoy it because we were exhausted from the lack of sleep.
Our experience was not about expecting perfection — it was about expecting a reasonable standard of comfort and service for a 5-star hotel. If you are considering staying here, I would strongly recommend asking in advance to confirm that you are not assigned Room 001 or another ground-floor room near reception and the housekeeping storage area.
Unfortunately, based on our experience, we would not stay here again.
Fantastic Stay in the Heart of Split!
The Cornaro Hotel in Split offers an absolutely fantastic experience, perfectly situated right in the heart of the center just behind the main square. Having such easy access to everything made exploring the city effortless. One of the absolute highlights was the beautiful rooftop pool, which features plenty of comfortable loungers and serves as the perfect spot to unwind and soak up the views. The breakfast was amazing and truly included everything you could possibly want to start your day. Additionally, the rooms were excellent, offering ample space to comfortably unpack and relax, including incredible closets that I swear were at least 10 feet tall. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Split!

Great hotel to stay at while visiting Split! RIght in the thick of it!
Stunning hotel. Room was spacious and very clean. Huge by Europe standards! Check in was a breeze and they graciously stored our luggage all day when we arrived at 7am. Took care of adding an extra night at our request. (No hanging around and waiting, they just told us they would take care of it and they did.) Incredible rooftop bar and small pool with glass walls to overlook both the city and the harbour. Gym was well equipt. We also had massages that were incredible. I can not recommend this hotel and its staff enough.
