Honeymooners in paradise
I arrived at Ladera Resort for our Honeymoon on July 20- July 26. The way the room was decorated and the personalized note made me cry happy tears. When you first arrive to Ladera you are greeted with the phrase 'Welcome to Paradise". This resort does not lie, its an ecofriendly paradise everything is hand crafted from the furniture(chairs, tables, soap dishes, etc). The food and plants are grown and cared for on the property. The staff is very accommodating, I am sensitive to heights and shared this with my facialist at the spa. She held my hand and walked me up and down to the spa room. She checked on me after the facial and offered my husband and I time in the sauna. I saw her the next day and she stopped and checked on me again. The there is Isha one of the servers and hostess at the Dasheene restaurant. She fixed me the best to go smoothies. She realized my favorite smoothie is the Dasheene Pick Me Up and notated it for others. From the entire restaurant staff who realized my phobia and sat me on the third row not on the front or side. They constantly checked on me and ensured that I was ok. The boutique staff was patient and caring when I was cramping and ran and located the needed medicine and sent over ginger tea assist me. Everyone was friendly and greeted us or waved from the cleaning crew, garden staff, artist in the Immersion studio,consierge, front desk, check out, spa, gym etc.. We meet the chef who curated the meals and who was in travel magazines. The artist who carved the picture frame I bought. Or the artist who made the bracelets and necklaces I bought. Or the The tour guide who took us to the Mudbath, Volcano, Garden and waterfall tour. This place is genuine and makes you feel like family. The Felix's will definitely return.
A Little Slice of Paradise
Ladera Resort exceeded our every expectation. The views are absolutely breathtaking, the staff made us feel so welcome, and every detail made the stay feel special. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind.
Extremely Relaxed
This was a very unique experience for us, the resort in a boutique style eco friendly design. We love how the buildings are built to flow with the land and surrounding forest. We stayed in Hilltop 7 and had fantastic views of the Pitons as well as the Caribbean Sea below. The open air living was great even if it took a minute to adjust to no A/C and the nature that visited frequently. It is a must try at least once in life. The staff is amazing, we did not meet a single unkind or rude staff member. So many names to mention but a special shout out to Janelle at Dasheen who made our dinners very special, the breakfast staff is like a well oiled machine, Isha (I hope I spelled It right) runs a tight ship but keeps it so friendly with her beautiful smile. “V” kept us well stocked with our minibar and room service which we definitely appreciate. We spent two days at Sugar Beach (as guests), the beach is nice and about a 15 minute shuttle ride each way. The only real drawback is Sugar Beach charges $100/chair for the day which is outrageous it does come with good service but wow. The beach does offer free chairs but each day we were there they were all being used as they are on the public side of the beach. This was our second visit to St. Lucia and it was even better than I remembered such wonderful people living on a beautiful island!

A most unique experience
Ladera is a truly unique property. The setting is stunning- set between the pitons 1000 feet above sea level. You cannot beat the views.
Food at Dashnee was excellent, the farm to table was apparent in every dish. There was a daily fish special and so many seafood options along with beef, chicken, pasta, risotto etc. Chicken dishes and goat dish was excellent. The chocolate mousse was the best dessert I have ever had. Wine choices were excellent and cocktails, for the most part, were great.
Service was wonderful- every staff member knew our names and did whatever possible to make our stay lovely. Servers, managers, reception, drivers, cleaning staff, butlers, were all incredible.
We stayed in 2 rooms- a Hilltop suite (X3) and a Heritage Suite (G). Both rooms were amazing however the Heritage Suite was STUNNING. Ladera is an open concept resort so you have to be prepared for the sound of nature, bugs in your room, particularly moths- moths bigger than you can imagine. Don't worry, the birds come in and eat them in the morning! The rooms have many fans and we found the only time it was warm was when we were getting ready for dinner. Nighttime was lovely.
We did excursions, went to both beaches, to the spa, rum hideaway, hiked the trails. All were excellent.
I recommend anyone looking for a unique experience to try Ladera.

A must do unique and magical experience
The absolute most magical incredible place we have visited. I can’t properly express the beauty and incredible experience we received at Ladera. No photos or reviews will ever do it justice, you need to experience it for yourself. The rooms are absolutely BREATH TAKING. The staff is INCREDIBLE, so accommodating and ready to go above and beyond to make sure you have the best experience. It was such a unique experience we will never forget. We will dream about coming back soon. The open wall room is something you have to experience for yourself, this was truly a unique one of a kind experience. As a Floridian that sleeps with their ac set at 67 degrees evey night, I was worried about how it would feel to stay in the open wall rooms… I can’t believe how comfortable and relaxing the breeze and sounds of the nature outside was. Me and my husband both agreed we truly slept better than we do at home lol!! Thank you to our butlers Sedley and Rohan for making this an absolute dream stay for us. You both were such a huge part of making our stay perfect and going above and beyond. Thank you! We will be back
