An Incredible Two Weeks at SOCO House, Saint Lucia
We don’t often write reviews, but feel compelled to do so after this holiday…My husband and I have just returned from an amazing two-week holiday at SOCO House in Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia, and we honestly cannot praise this hotel and its wonderful staff enough.
From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel genuinely welcome. The General Manager, Vladimir, is absolutely outstanding. His presence around the hotel, his attention to detail and, most importantly, the way he has trained and leads his team really shows.
Every single member of staff knew our names. They remembered what we liked to drink, and eat, greeted us every day with a smile and made us feel like valued guests rather than just another room number. That level of personal service is something very special and made such a difference to our holiday.
SOCO House has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere and is full of rustic Caribbean charm. If you’re looking for a huge, ultra-polished luxury resort experience, then there are other hotels in Saint Lucia where you can pay considerably more for that. But if you want somewhere with Caribbean character, warmth, fantastic hospitality and staff who genuinely make your holiday memorable, SOCO House is the place to go.
The food was fantastic, lots of choice, menu changed every other day, good drink choices too.
The pool area is lovely, and the beach is literally a 5 min walk (if that). Great touch having the cool boxes full of drinks of your choice to take to the beach (recommend doing this for the sunsets after a day at the pool!)
For us, it was incredible. The staff are an absolute credit to Vladimir and to the hotel, and the service we received throughout our entire two-week stay was exceptional. A special mention to Mama Rose, Charles, Gavin, Anya, ‘Mojito Man’, Eloise & Charmain.
Thank you, Vladimir, and thank you to every single member of the SOCO House team for making our holiday so special. We came home with wonderful memories and would happily recommend this little Caribbean gem to anyone looking for a warm, friendly and authentic stay in beautiful Saint Lucia.
We loved every minute…. And are already looking to book our return trip!

I cannot say enough good things about the Soco House. The place is immaculate,and the service was outstanding. The restaurant was perfect with great menu selections featuring local cuisine and locally sourced ingredients. The all inclusive is the way to go.
The staff treated me like a king. They were always very happy and so attentive.
Big shout out to everyone that encountered there. Namely Vladimir the general manager, Eloise front desk,Ronette the restaurant manager, bartenders Rose,Charles,Warner,Gavin and Naz. Also I felt very safe with head man Chief Chief in charge of security. I felt like I have made a little family and everyone made me feel like I belonged.
I cannot recommend Soco House enough. The place is lovely and once again the staff was amazing.
Just go ahead and book your stay...you will not be disappointed. I cannot wait to return! Robert
Super hotel, super staff!! 5 stars!
Where to start! The staff were amazing, so friendly, helpful, warm and welcoming. The environment they have created is something I have never experienced before. A really friendly, relaxed atmosphere where everyone we meet there agreed at what a lovely vibe it was. The rooms were a great size, really nicely decorated and comfortable beds. The food was lovely! A really nice touch to have such a wide choice from a menu for 3 course 3 times a day! The managers reception with the pianist was a real treat and a lovely hour spent. The manager, Valdimir, was such a lovely man and so very helpful when I had a spot of trouble and needed assistance. He was so kind and gracious. And Elouise the guest relation's lady was AMAZING, her welcoming, friendly openness to everyone that crosses the threshold is second to none! She remembers EVERY guests name, she’s kind and engaging and really cares. Such an asset, along with the wonderful manager, to this lovely little hotel! Would definitely go back! Thank you to all the staff, bar and restaurant, house keeping and front desk for all their hard work, smiles and friendliness!

A holiday to remember
We had a ten night stay at the Soco House hotel and we cannot praise it enough and a pity I can only give 5 stars as it deserves more . We were made to feel welcome and special from the minute we walked into the hotel . The manager Vladamir goes out of his way to ensure your stay is the best . He as a good team behind him to make it run like clock work , special mention to Eloise ( expertise ) , Rose , Gavin , Charles and Kalana . The meals were very good and of good portion sizes definitely all inclusive the way forward . We were very fortunate to meet lots of lovely people staying at the hotel to make the stay even more memorable . I would definitely return and recommend it to anybody.....Thank you to everyone for making our holiday special

Fantastic Holiday in a beautiful part of the world!
We had a fantastic holiday in St. Lucia, travelling from Gatwick in July. We were a bit apprehensive of the weather with it being the start of hurricane season but it was lovely, hot every day, odd day with showers but it doesn't spoil anything. I'd recommend having a walk down the road to some local bars - we did this on a rainy day but it was great sitting under the canopy with a rum and the locals. But then the pool bar is great and we found ourselves sat around the bar area every day at some point. Gavin was a star, as was all of the staff.
Vladimir was brilliant, he's obviously turned the place around looking at some earlier reviews. It's so nice that the GM takes time to talk and ask if there are any issues he can sort. Even just a 'hello' or wave means a lot to guests. We did have a couple of issues with our when we first arrived - air con was faulty and a few other niggles but these were promptly resolved and Vladimir even offered an upgraded room. We declined that offer as the room we were moved to was fine, nice high ceilings and lovely balcony.
Food was lovely, could not fault it one bit. I can definitely recommend the seafood chowder which frequents the menu - it was one of the best dishes I've ever had.
Another highlight was meeting 'Seven' (can't replicate the exact St Lucian letters) - he called himself 'the one'. We bumped into him on the first morning as we were walking to the beach - I dismissed this as a sales pitch at first but the more we spoke to him he could offer various tours/trips around the island. We did a boat trip down the coast and visited some nice beaches and the mud baths, rum was flowing! Those sort of attractions are in the south of the island so it can be expensive due to the roads more than distance. As we saw 'the one' more and more on the beach he could advise of what to do and how. The Friday night street party is great (i miss-judged the strength of the rum and ended up in a pickle both times we went! It's literally a short boat ride away from the hotel but the best way to get there.
We wanted to do rum tasting and chocolate making but the places for this are on the south of the island so we asked 'the one' if he could sort something for us. He made up an itinerary of bars to visit and got his mates to drive us around the island with a lovely Canadian couple that we met. This was brilliantly authentic and we got to see the real St Lucia and tasted some fantastic rum - included in the price was lunch at a roadside BBQ, rustic and genuine, a fantastic morning. To say this was not an official tour it was and put together by 'the one' on our request which is testament to him and his kindness.
All of the lads on the beach are great - Noah, 'Lion' and 'the one' are there most days and will accommodate anything you want to do without being pushy. Pigeon Island is a nice visit and only a short boat ride away if you don't mind a walk - nothing too difficult.
Marie's Fish Shack is well worth a visit which is at the Southern end of the bay - Lion kindly took us there. Apparently she can be grumpy but she was great! I think it's because the food takes a while to be done but she literally cooks it on a BBQ to order - the fish is fresh the same day and is fantastic!
Overall an amazing holiday and would highly recommend! Special shout out to 'the one', was a great help to us.
