The experience was absolutely amazing. The staff was very accommodative and hospitable and the breakfast was top tier. really a breakfast for champions. We will definitely recommend and stay again.
Bay Gardens Resort is a well established, older facility on a beautiful beach. Most of the staff (but not all) work hard to ensure guests have a pleasant experience, lots of fun and a bit of relaxation. There are lots of things that can be improved, but generally you get what you pay for. It's not a premium experience, but it's sufficiently palatable. If you're Vegan, gluten free or have a restricted diet but are considering a trip with meal packages, this is probably not the best resort for you to stay at.
I had a very relaxing stay. Very comfortable room, great ambiance. Service was excellent. Room was clean and everything needed was right there.
We arrived to a clogged toilet, dirty room that had not been cleaned. The shower leaked out into the bathroom (we had to fix the door ourselves with a pool noodle). We had no wash clothes for 2 days and had to keep asking for them. The food is poor and always the same food over and over. A few days was buffet which is better since we have choices if we don’t like the food we can try something else. But once they’re out of food they never refilled most of it. Everyone was rude minus a couple people we met. It was like we were a bother if we requested things. The peebles bar tenders were very unpleasant. The beach/water is nice and pretty view. However, the public access is annoying. You couldn’t relax without someone trying to sell you and haggle you. We ended up staying by the pool our last couple days so we didn’t have to worry about someone aggravating us. The paddle boats are fun but most are broken. All the excursions was ok but again, they take you to places and you are annoyed and haggled the entire time that you can’t really enjoy it.Oh and no bottle water! They give you glass refill bottles in your room and you don’t get any other beverages in your room outside of the first day they gave us 2 cokes and 4 piton beers..We have been to many all inclusives, this is not like any of the others we have been. I would rate it a 2/10. Only because the mountains and water are nice. But save your money and go to another resort that is actually all inclusive.
Bay Gardens Beach Resort & Spa has one of the best locations in Rodney Bay. The resort is situated directly on the beach and is within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and the town, making it easy to explore the area without needing transportation.
I also want to recognize the staff. Nearly everyone we interacted with was friendly, courteous, and helpful, and their hospitality was one of the best parts of our stay. We did encounter one or two staff members who were not as welcoming, but they were the exception rather than the norm.
Unfortunately, there were several aspects of our stay that were disappointing. While the location is fantastic, the hotel itself is showing its age and could benefit from some upgrades and renovations. The rooms and common areas felt dated in several places.
The food at the hotel was consistently poor and did not meet our expectations. We ended up eating at restaurants nearby whenever possible because the quality and variety were much better. Fortunately, there were plenty of excellent dining options and nightlife within walking distance.
Another downside was the beach experience. There were numerous beach vendors walking by throughout the day trying to sell souvenirs and other products. While I understand they're trying to make a living, many were persistent and did not readily accept "no" for an answer. It made it difficult to simply relax and enjoy the beautiful beach without being interrupted repeatedly.
My biggest advice for future guests concerns the vacation ownership/timeshare meeting. If you're invited to attend, take your time before making any financial commitment. I felt pressured to make a significant financial decision within a very short period, without having adequate time to review the numbers or consider whether the program truly made financial sense. A purchase involving thousands of dollars and years of financial commitment should never feel rushed. Carefully review all costs, compare the value with simply booking vacations on your own, and don't feel obligated to sign the same day.
The beachfront location and hospitality are the resort's greatest strengths, but prospective guests should be aware of these issues so they can make an informed decision.
