We had an amazing one-week stay at the Royalton Saint Lucia! The resort was beautiful, the food and amenities were excellent, and the staff went above and beyond to make our vacation memorable.
A special shoutout to our Diamond Club butlers, Jessie and Shermel, who were absolutely outstanding! They were attentive, friendly, professional, and always one step ahead of our needs. Their exceptional service truly made our stay feel special and luxurious.
We would definitely return to Royalton Saint Lucia and highly recommend the Diamond Club experience — especially with amazing butlers like Jessie and Shermel!
I stayed at this resort for a wedding, and unfortunately, I personally don’t feel that the resort was up to standard in several areas.
Upon checking into my room, I noticed hair on the pillowcase that wasn’t mine, which was disappointing and made me question the cleanliness of the room. The food truck outside also frequently ran out of the special dish of the day, which was frustrating when it was something we were specifically looking forward to trying.
We also had an unpleasant experience with one of the bartenders, Giovanni. When our group asked for water, he walked away from us rather than assisting us, which came across as very rude and unprofessional.
The upstairs bar had a TV that we wanted to use to watch soccer together as a group, but we were told the remote had been lost, so we weren’t able to use it. There were also frequent shortages of plastic cups, meaning we couldn’t take drinks outside of the bar area because we were given glass cups.
The wedding itself was a private event, yet a random guest showed up. We notified the staff and even politely asked the woman to leave, but nothing was done about the situation despite bringing it to the staff’s attention.
The biggest issue, however, was the Italian restaurant. At least 6 people from our group became sick with what appeared to be food poisoning after eating there. This was extremely concerning and really put a damper on the trip.
The highlights of our stay were definitely Vicky and Wendy at the pool bar, as well as the staff members wearing the green shirts. They were friendly, attentive, and made our experience much better.
Unfortunately, aside from those staff members, I found the resort to be very underwhelming. There were too many issues throughout our stay, especially considering this was a wedding trip, and overall I don’t feel the resort lived up to the standards I expected.
This hotel aimed to please and did an excellent job! Clean and spacious in rooms and across the grounds which are also safe and close to beach. Staff are welcoming friendly and fantastic at ensuring they give the best service. The butlers were amazing 👏🏽 we had Monique and Jesse who took care of all our needs. We used spa and gym and found both modern and inviting. The restaurant selection was really good and there was lots of food on offer and throughout our trip we paid for nothing! We will definitely use this hotel again and very glad we had the chance to experience this wonderful hotel.
Back home and I miss waking up in the tropics. St lucia was amazing, Royalton owes me nothing. We had 3 butlers but fabian was attentive and made our vacation relaxed. The resort has alot of work to do but the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable. You guys need a bit more entertainment by the diamond and music in the lobby.
We are currently nearing the end of a 10-day stay at the Royalton Saint Lucia, and unfortunately our experience has been far from what we expected from a 5-star resort.
From arrival, we have encountered a number of issues. We requested extra coat hangers, an iron and ironing board on our first day — 9 days later, we still haven’t received them.
One of the pools has been unavailable during our stay, while building work on two blocks has resulted in significant noise from early morning until late evening (no one we spoke to had been notified about these works). This is hardly the relaxing environment you expect when paying for a premium holiday.
The pool area has also been disappointing. There are no cushions on the sun loungers, and despite being told that replacements have been ordered, we have spent our holiday sitting on uncomfortable rattan loungers without padding.
Housekeeping has been another major issue. Our room has only been cleaned twice during our entire 10-day stay, largely because the cleaner has often arrived around 6–7pm when we are getting ready for dinner.
We have spoken to two returning guests during our stay who both commented that the standards are noticeably lower than during their previous visits. Sadly, based on our own experience, we can understand why.
To be fair, the restaurants and quality of the food have been very good, which has been one of the highlights of our stay. However, good food doesn’t make up for the wider issues with facilities, building work, housekeeping and basic guest service.
We have also formally complained to the hotel and requested appropriate compensation given the number of issues and the impact they have had on our holiday. We have received no response from the hotel.
We now leave tomorrow, so there has been virtually no opportunity for these issues to be properly rectified during our stay.
We chose the Royalton expecting a genuine 5-star experience and, based on this stay, we simply haven’t received it. The combination of unavailable facilities, prolonged building works, uncomfortable pool furniture, inadequate housekeeping and basic requests being completely ignored has significantly affected our holiday.
For us, this has not been the 5-star experience we paid for.
