Disappointing
Unfortunately, my stay at the Royalton St. Lucia was disappointing overall.
From the beginning, the service lacked attention to detail. I never received the welcome pack that guests are supposed to receive, despite mentioning this to two different members of staff. Even by the penultimate day of my stay, nothing had been provided.
The food was another major letdown. At the buffet, meals were consistently lukewarm and generally lacked seasoning. Even the fresh fruit was left uncovered, with flies landing on it, which was unhygienic and unappetising. The à la carte restaurants weren't much better—the service was very slow, and the quality of the food did not justify the wait or the hassle it took to book in advance.
Room service was also inefficient, regularly taking over an hour to arrive. When the items did arrive, they were cold and inedible.
I was staying during my birthday, which had been noted, yet there was no acknowledgement whatsoever. It was disappointing to feel that such a special occasion passed completely unnoticed.
The facilities also fell short of expectations. The steam room in the spa had no steam at all, making it unusable.
Around the pool, used glasses were left accumulating throughout the day instead of being collected promptly, which made the area feel untidy and poorly maintained.
What was most disappointing, however, was the hotel's response when issues were raised during my stay. Rather than attempting to resolve them while I was still a guest, I was simply told to leave a review. There was still time to address at least some of the concerns before I checked out, but no meaningful effort was made to do so.
There were positives, but overall the hotel did not deliver the standard of service, cleanliness, or attention to detail I expected. 4 out of 10 at best.
Don’t go to Royalton, it’s not a Marriott Autograph level hotel
Skip this resort. Food is terrible, there is nothing associated with Marriott Autograph level of service, once we arrived. it’s bait and switch. Resort only has a small very beach area with limited views. Looked like most people were there on a free pass. Definitely

Unfortunately, my stay at the Royalton was very disappointing!!!
With the exception of two individuals, that I’d like to highly praise, which were my butler’s, Darnell and Kayasha! They were simply amazing and always made sure we were taking care of! Whenever, I called either of the two, there were never any hesitation and they always went above and beyond!! Royalton need more Darnell and Kaysha’s!!
However, my entire stay not the best and I never intend on returning to Royalton Hideaway in Saint Lucia! The staff were very unfriendly, unwilling to help rude and often times would ignore your presence!! Treverston, the bell hop was amazing and again he went above and beyond, unlike his coworkers!
Room service was horrible to say least!! They were very insufficient, taking hours to arrive or sometimes we never received our food! Or, if we did several hours later, it was cold and only good for the trash!!!
Guest services would often look up and see you standing there and still ignore your presence until you demand help but it was clear that guests were not a priority! The bartender in the lobby was very rude and she left me and my husband standing there looking for help, Sunday evening 7/19/26 saying she was off. Until I finally got fed up and went to customer service asking for help and they pointed to the young lady who originally said her shift was over, as being the bartender. She went to the bar, clearly upset about having to help us but in the end she did but the service was very unpleasant!!
I came with a group of 42 people and nobody was satisfied with the service received from Royalton!
Hideaway was the best !
I had an exceptional time at the hideaway. The lifeguards and bartenders in particular made the time there more enjoyable. I have usually been afraid to get in the water but Tanika was so helpful, maintained a calm demeanor, and gave me tips that helped me learn to float.
The Royalton Hideaway - St. Lucia
This resort is absolutely amazing! The service, hospitality and views are just as incredible. I truly enjoyed my stay and look forward to coming back and stay here again!
