Bel Jou Adults Only

What an absolutely fabulous hotel. When you stay here you are not a guest, you are a member of their family or a friend. This is our second time staying with these marvellous people. The hotel is set upon the hillside but they offer a regular free shuttle down to the town of Castries or to the beach, running every hour, except for Wednesday and Sunday. The hotel itself is on several levels so there are steps to deal with so bear this in mind if there are mobility issues. We have stayed in both the bungalows and the larger pool view rooms. Both are well equipped with and iron, ironing board, hairdryer, fridge and kettle with tea and coffee. Some rooms have a smart tv others a standard but will be in the process of upgrading these room with a full makeover. The room has an ample shower and wash basin. All have air conditioning. The rooms are kept spotless by the attentive housekeepers on a daily basis. The food is diverse from the Caribbean bbq evening on a Thursday to Indian, French, Italian being served throughout the week. Breakfast consists of the traditional English to fresh fruit and cold meats. There is also Lulu's cabana serving snacks by the upper pool consisting of burger, chips, toastie etc There is entertainment every evening in the Veranda bar ranging from Karaoke, live bands and singers. The bbq evening will have a steel band and fire eaters which we recommend you do not miss. As mentioned before the staff are amazing, so friendly and attentive. We can't praise them highly enough. If you want a quiet relaxing break then the Bel Jou is right for you.

Beautiful property with gorgeous views of Castries and the nearby coastline. Food was fantastic with a great degree of variety. Staff were very friendly and engaging and helped us feel welcome and right at home - especially Quincy by the pool, Mikey at the front desk and Jaffry the activity co-ordinator! Dean, the General Manager was also very approachable and we had opportunities to speak with him on multiple occasions during our week there. The only thing that detracted somewhat from our experience was the presence of several large groups - they overtook the pool areas and restaurants and took away from the vacation vibe, wait times to obtain drinks and food and at times many dishes were gone. Perhaps it was simply bad timing on our part but overall I'd recommend Bel Jou to anyone looking for a more relaxed and intimate vacation experience.

Our holiday here was amazing from start to finish. It's a beautiful hotel. We were in one of the bungalows. I wouldn't describe it as a bungalow. It was a good size room with a bathroom and a small terrace. More than met our needs. We always found something good to eat at each meal. When it was busy some items ran out so could do with being quicker to replenish the buffet. There was mango at our first breakfast which was delicious but we didn't see it again which was disappointing. The really great thing about this hotel is the staff. Princess was the hardest working person there. On the Caribbean night she never stopped. Constantly checking everyone had drinks and clearing tables. A beautiful lady inside and out. Special mention too for Quincy, Kayah, Tinika and Mikey. Pool attendant Quincy was always checking all was ok and getting drinks for you. Tinika is super caring. As soon as she saw us was asking how we were doing. Mikey saw I had bites on my legs and came to find me with some aloe vera. Kayah was my absolute favourite. The biggest smile which was infectious. He remembered what drinks we liked even down to which red wine I preferred. We were in the rooftop bar one evening when the St Lucia football team returned from a game en masse. He sorted them all out with drinks with his beautiful smile on his face and was still checking we had drinks. I would return here in a heartbeat.
