Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
From the moment we arrived we knew that we were staying at a low class and low attention to detail resort generally Marriott properties are superb however this property did not meet the Marriott standard whatsoever. Our room had several issues as you can see by the photos the most important being that it didn’t even have a shower door …. this room should have never been given to us in the condition that it was in. Getting reservations was an absolute nightmare but we got into the steakhouse and let’s just say we sent the food back twice and ended up leaving to go to the restaurant that was outside on top of the hill where the chef actually knew how to cook a steak.
For those who rescheduled or plan on visiting after renovations are completed. We booked last October to stay in May but due to the hurricane and renovations we had to choose a different Royalton property. We kept thinking about Hideaway Negril however and decided to book there as well just after the renovations are set to be completed in August. We have reached out to the resort via email to ask a couple questions about the updating of the online room selection website. Oneeka and Nicola have been amazing responding back with details about this and even adding notes on our reservation about our preferences. They have made it much easier for us to be able to do things like requesting a room once the website updates at Hideaway Negril. Thank you both for responding and going above and beyond for us. I’m sure the reopening will be great with employees like you taking care of it.

The hotel´s infrastructure is solid and has many amenities. The beach staff are mostly friendly. Not as the hotel´s manager Miguel Arthurs and reception staff. He made disappear one of the guests that got hysterical during the hurricane Melissa and even threatened the rest of us publicly that the same would happen to us.
Finally, the kicked me out on the devastated streets because I was the last guest , waiting for my rescheduled flight. I warn you: DONT GO THERE WHILE MIGUEL ARTHURS IS IN CHARGE.
Don't ever come here. The service was horrible before we got stuck due to the hurricane. Diamond Club status is not worth the money. We are still looking for our butler. Staff members are not knowledgeable and give different answers to the same question
The manager, Migel, during his late briefing about the hurricane, stated that the people who wanted to get out, got our. That is not true. We spoke to more than one staff member and got different answers from each. He was combative with guest when they tried to get answers about what to expect during the hurricane
To add insult to injury, guest were told that they would get one rate and were charged for a higher rate. When confronted by guest, Migel was heard telling the Honey BeeZ Group that they would honor the lower price for them but not for others. Not acceptable.
I complained about services and the guest representative took down my concern and stated that I would be contacted by management. I am still waiting. I am a travel agent and would not refer not one client to the Royalton Hideaway.
