Jovie as the aqua fitness instructor was amazing, friendly and overall a good vibe.
Jovie ,spade45 and strap Jace was good with aqua fit and pool games thanks you guys fir a fun time my first day back at the resort the new opening is a good look,I'll be back again soon with friends and family thanks much to all the staff food is good and drinks as well.
DO NOT COME UNTIL THE KINKS ARE WORKED OUT! CONS
All small things but it is frustrating when staff keep saying they are looking into issues and someone is on their way to fix things and they are not - just own it and say it’s an issue with the reopening and ppl will understand.
PROS
Advice: wait a while to come or you will be spending most of your day at reception or in your room waiting for service that never arrives!
Staying at Royalton Hideaway Negril, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort - Adults Only was absolutely amazing! The resort feels private and luxurious, the beachfront and pool areas are stunning, the all-inclusive dining offered a great variety of fresh and flavorful options, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, though some of the popular restaurants can get busy during peak dining times.

We just returned from a week at this beautiful resort. We love the Royalton brand and have stayed at all 5 Hideaways, the linked Planet Hollywood Adult Scene, and Royalton Grenada. We have upgraded to Diamond Club each time as we like the perks. There is debate about that some do some don’t. This review will be about having that. First thing is a shout out to our butlers Michelle and Nicholas. We have had some great ones in the past but these 2 were the best. They have a good routine with reminders during the day via WhatsApp but then also personalized messages and in person visits. We don’t normally ask much of them as the app is so easy to navigate however this time we needed a few things and they were quick to help. Little things like changing an a al carte day of and getting loungers placed on our swim out balcony to moving us on day 2 when our AC stopped working. You hear about complaints on here when you have to move where people wait hours with no room to move. Michelle coordinated it for us from start to finish it was under an hour we packed up into our suitcases, walked down the hallway, and were in our new room. It’s things like that where Diamond Club is worth the extra money in addition to the regular things you get which are plenty. Reopening had a couple hiccups but anyone going now should be okay with that otherwise they should have waited. Same will go to Blue Waters in a few weeks. There were a couple restaurants closed, couple things on the menus not available, there was a power outage at the other end of the resort, etc. The price we got our Hideaway DC swim out reflected this we paid less then what we had paid for May 2026 that got cancelled due to the hurricane. All staff were so nice and are happy the resort is reopened and happy to see the guests. This resort being set up how it is has 90% of the rooms facing the ocean. No other Royalton’s has this many good views they will have some but many of them are DC rooms here almost everyone has a good view. It’s one reason not to upgrade to DC but again we feel it’s worth it. We were at the far end of building 9 and in the swim out we were probably 25 feet from the ocean with a wonderful view. The only other that even came close was Saint Lucia’s Hideaway DC view. Like we’ve always experienced at Hideaway Royalton the food, drinks, pools, beach, ocean were great here. The main beach was amazing and had some of the calmest, clearest water with nice sand and no rocks. The Hideaway was not as nice as it was created manually so we only stayed there a couple days the rest we went to the DC area. Couple other tips we went on a Sunday which is not ideal for work the next day (we luckily had a stat holiday Monday). But on Sunday the airport is not as busy and the roads from Montego Bay to Negril (1.5 hours) are not busy. Our travel days were very smooth. Downloading the app and understanding how to use it helps to get things done quickly so you can go back to enjoying your vacation. Being Canadian we come from a tipping culture and enjoy tipping as they deserve it especially after what they have went through recently. We didn’t see a difference in service they treated everyone well but they appreciated receiving a tip. I’ve read enough reviews on here to know some people agree and some don’t there is no right answer. We also like feeding the local cats but we only saw 1. Probably because it was closed for so long. Not many fish in the water or animals at the resort. We saw 2 little lizards and there were no bugs. We plan on going to Royalton CHIC Antiqua soon and hoping to go to the new Royalton Vessence Barbados but we would not hesitate to come back to this location. The only thing holding us back is we had such a good time we don’t want to compare that visit to this one so we need to give it a bit of time before returning. If you go and don’t have kids we recommend the Hideaway Diamond Club upgrade and prior to arriving email them asking for Michelle and Nicholas. When we come back that’s what we will be doing. My partners review she is going to name names of staff that went above and beyond for us like Simone at the Dorado restaurant for breakfast. Wonderful resort you will enjoy if you go and have the right mindset
