I chose Azul Beach Resort for my wedding, based on my own research. Multiple reviews, travel agents and brides told me to choose otherwise— I am so glad I didn’t!
Dwight, Carla and Danielle on the wedding team were amazing to work with! They answered questions quickly, stayed in communication and once my family and I (26 of us!) got to the resort, they were hands on, attentive and amazing. Everything went perfectly. I couldn’t have asked for a better semi-private dinner, ceremony, reception & candlelight dinner. My family was so happy with everything from the service, to the wedding, to the food and attentiveness. The wedding team never stopped checking on us. Every employee is so friendly, so personable and remembers your name like family. The employees are out everyday cleaning everything in sight, working hard and doing it with a smile. The time is what you make of it. My family was so happy with not only the wedding but the resort as well, we will be returning.
Thank you all for making me and my now HUSBANDDDDDDD’s dream come true :)
If you are looking for a relaxed beach holiday with beautiful views this ticks all the boxes. The staff re very friendly and cannot do enough to help you. The breakfast is good with varied options and w loved the omelette station. Lunch options are jerk on the beach, buffet lunch which was average or a burger bar which has different options. For dinner there was always a selection of restaurants to choose from on the resort. We did venture out for dinner twice as we stayed for two weeks so would recommend the Boardwalk Village and Miss Lilys. The rooms could do with being updated but wasn’t a problem as they were clean. The spa is worth using and we had brilliant massages. Overall a really enjoyable stay and would return. Thank you!
We just got back from our 7 days stay at Azul. We had 2 rooms, both ocean view, however second view was more pool then ocean, disappointment here. When I booked resort I looked at the google maps, and something fishy is here, Azul beach resort is a 5 star resort on a map, this name is on all booking sites, however when we arrived, it appears to be Azul Seven mile beach resort, which on google 3 star resort, AI claims its the same resort, but why have to markers one for 3, one for 5 star. Of course when u are in resort you know it is a 3 star resort, as we have been all over Jamaica and always go to 5 star.
Anyway, to be short. Resort - very old , almost no maintenance done but clean, I like that resort goes along the beach, so when you walk on central ave, you always walk 5 meters from the sea.
Rooms - are also very old, but also clean, AC broke once but they fixed it quickly. Stuff clean the room nicely.
Stuff - was very kind and responsive, star here.
Pools - were ok, old same as resort, also clean
Beach and sea - absolutely amazing, more umbrellas would be a plus but all good. Lots of stuff to do there, we did tubing, jet boats, went to Bubbykay island for lobsters, went snorkling, ate lobsters at local restaurant.
Bars - very good, never had to wait, there is so many of them and not many people.
Restaurants - buffets are very small variety, food very spicy, hard to find something not.
Conclusion, I would return here with my friends anytime because of the beach, and all the fun you can have here but not as couple who wants just to relax.
The butlers make the visit! Shari and Rashane are an amazing team and do everything possible to make your static you stay at Azul Beach you have to request them. It’s our sixth trip to Jamaica and we go back each time to see them. Beautiful beach and amazing culture!
Just arrived home after 10 days at the Azul resort, read some reviews before we went and was slightly concerned with what has been said on here so this is our honest opinion on the resort Yes it does need some updating especially on the decking and some parts of the outside of the hotel, however if you can handle that then it's an amazing place, the location is perfect, the beach is beautiful and the food is first class, the rooms are a little out dated but clean just like the rest of the resort, fridge topped up daily, free water sports and great bars, had a cabana everyday as it was really quiet, best part about this hotel is the staff, every person who works there from the gardeners, security, cleaners, bar staff are the best, they are always happy to see you, go out of their way to make you feel special, never experienced anywhere with staff this good, special mention to mamma Sheryl, went out of her way everyday to make our holiday, spent my 50th birthday there, she bought me champagne on the beach and booked us a restaurant at Lilly's when we couldn't get a table, she and all the other members of staff will make your holiday, will definitely be going back, so if you want a beautiful beach great food and fun staff it's definitely the place to be, a few tired looking parts is not enough to give this place a bad review.
