Royalton Blue Waters Montego Bay

Everything was great,the bob Marley show was an excellent highlight of our trip. Shout out to Mariah from entertainment she was helpful and polite.

Me and my family enjoyed our time to the fullest. Courteous staff, great food! Beach was well maintained and so was the pools. Room was excellent with the in room Jacuzzi. Full stars! I want to give a special big up to our manager for making the stay even more welcoming and accommodating. Thank you so much Nadisha Whyte! We will be back

Location was amazing. Loved the beach and the view from our room. Staff maintained the beach well with raking and removing the seaweed. The sand was soft.

Rooms were clean and well maintained. We didn't need daily cleaning but had no problems changing towels regularly.

The utilities were inconsistent

• There were 3 days where we had no water at all for a couple/few hours, including once when my son had shampoo in his hair when it suddenly cut off. One day we initially had no hot water and then it totally cut off about 15 min later. One night, the water smelled like sewage so we had to use bottled water to brush our teeth. The next morning, it was fine again.
• We also had problems with the air conditioning and had to call to have it fixed.

Service was excellent! Patricia in the ice cream shop was SOOOO friendly and attentive. We had a lot of conversations about the Jamaican community. Alicia from Calypso was "family" and taught us the proper way to make oxtail. Chamika from the pool area was attentive and she even remembered my regular drink. And last but definitely not least, Britanny had so much energy and was so friendly and fun. We can't thank these ladies enough for making our vacation enjoyable.

Suggestions for the some of the restaurants

• Generally, they could use training on both the service and the food.
• Grazie had the slowest service that I have ever experienced in any restaurant in any city; and the food was only passable and had clearly been sitting for a while before it was served.
• Hunters served a flank steak that was just grilled, which ended up really tough and difficult to eat. Flank is best served marinated, grilled and thinly cut against the grain. In addition, the staff kept confusing the salads.
• The sushi at both Zen and the buffet was clearly prepared way ahead of time and handled too much, such that by the time it was served, the rice was rubbery.

However, the oxtail and the jerk chicken were excellent!

Overall, the positives outweighed the negatives. We were there to relax and you definitely delivered on that point.
