First time to Jamaica
For my first visit to Jamaica I stayed at this all-inclusive hotel. It was a very joyful and relaxing place to stay. The hotel is almost next door to the international airport, so if you like a low noise level, this isn't the place for you. The staff was incredible: Friendly, professional, and fast. However, some had some quirks as to how they presented information to customers. But that was expected since it was my first time dealing with the culture. The food awas amazing, the drinks were strong and extremely refreshing. The bar lobby was our favorite spot, we gathered there for a lot of the FIFA World Cup games. The rooms were spacious, well appointed, and very quiet. However, I had a long walk to my room from the lobby to the room. Fortunately, if you are on the second floor, there is an elevator to facilitate not climbing up and down the stairs. The price was decent for the stay, I was there for 6 nights. All in all, a very nice first trip to Jamaica.

Unbeatable value, great food, and access to two resorts!
My stay at Riu Reggae was a great experience, especially considering how affordable it is. For two people, we paid $1141.76 for 4 nights total, which is hard to beat.
The property is very nice, clean, and well-kept. The rooms are basic and the beds are pretty firm, but everything worked perfectly and we had no complaints.
As far as food, it's much better than anticipated. As many of us know resort food can be hit or miss especially at party resorts. The buffet was actually good, well-seasoned, and had great fresh fruit. The Jerk Hut by the beach is a must-try for the chicken. I didn't even bother with the à la carte restaurants because the regular food was so good.
Next, the beach is beautiful but a little rocky in areas. The best part is that staying at Reggae gives you full access to Riu Montego Bay next door. Reggae has a great mix of relaxed and upbeat energy, whereas Montego Bay is a non-stop party. It's nice to have the option, but just note the Montego Bay side gets super crowded with long waits at the pool bars so if this isn't your vibe then I'd suggest staying away unless you want to check out other amenities on the property.
The staff is super welcoming. Definitely book the $85 boat party on-site. It was honestly a great time and the most inexpensive boat I've ever been on. It covers snorkeling, drinks, and music, and was a massive highlight. Also, the gym is fully functional with dumbbells up to 50 lbs, cables, treadmills, machines, and more. It's doesn't have a ton of equipment but there enough to get a good pump before heading out to the pool/beach for the day.
If you want top-tier luxury, look elsewhere. But if you want a great social scene, good food, and solid value, this hits the sweet spot.

A Good Stay With One Concern
I enjoyed many aspects of my stay at RIU Reggae. The beach was beautiful, the grounds were well maintained, and there was always something happening around the resort.
One thing that stood out to me, however, was how much emphasis seemed to be placed on entertainers developing personal connections with guests. During my stay, I noticed that some entertainers appeared to have particularly close relationships with returning visitors, and I overheard guests openly talking about specific entertainers and interactions they had with them.
While everyone may have a different perspective on this, it was not something I expected to encounter during my vacation. The interactions often seemed more personal than simply friendly, and it changed my overall impression of the atmosphere at the resort.
I still enjoyed many parts of my stay, but this was something I noticed repeatedly and felt was worth sharing for future guests.
Fantastic holiday
Recently returned from our second trip here and loved it as much as the last time in March. Lovely, friendly, hardworking staff from Winston the 'famous' bar man, the restaurant staff, reception, cleaning, ground keepers, entertainment staff a shout out to Rihanna, Bubbles, Gabby, Gonzalez (who also did fab aqua aerobics classes) and all the other staff who made this holiday fabulous ❤️
