Had a blast
First ever holiday in Jamaica and throughly enjoyed, all 4 of us. The hotel itself was very clean, everywhere, as there were cleaning staff always about constantly. The restaurant area was run with pleasant and helpful waiters/waitress's and the selection of food offered a variety for all. Now to the pool area, lounger’s were plentiful, 5 pools and an abundance of things go in on thanks to the entertainment team whether it be pool games, dancing or music. Evening entertainment consisted of a residential band(different singers), beach party, pre show(audience participation, hilarious) then the main show with various artists which the entertainment were involved in and by damn were they exceptional. The bar staff and waiters/waitress’s(Carissa)were very friendly and on the ball constantly fair play. Lastly I’ll go back to the entertainment team because they made our holiday, as they were absolutely fantastic, so so friendly with their mingling with all the guests it was brilliant. I’d like to call a couple of the team out, Roly Poly was hilarious, Shakira was like a daughter to us, so young we always kept an eye out for her, Charlotte(whose birthday it was one day) and lastly Blam Blam Mr Table tennis. Finally give this hotel a try but be warned in a good way it’s lively around the pool area which fantastic 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Location was perfect . Less than 10 minutes to get there by taxi or however . The atmosphere was okay . I have been to a few resorts on Jamaica and every worker spoke . Most of the workers didn’t peak especially house cleaning they just look at you which needs to be better not acceptable . Overall the atmosphere was okay . The room was nice and clean . Value was worth it . Just got to work on staff in housekeeping that’s very important , because it can be a big turn off and no one will want to return there .

There are better all-inclusive than Riu Montego Bay
I have gone to several all inclusive resorts. This is the first all-inclusive that I’ve gone to that you get no drinks brought to you, even if you ask. My first trip to Jamaica was at the reggae and it had the best entertainment of all the resorts I’ve been to. However, Montego Bay was the worst entertainment I’ve ever experienced out of all the resorts I’ve been to. The foam party and the neon party was terrible compared to other Riu resorts, for example Mexico. We’ve stayed at other Riu resorts, and the drinks are always made fresh but here they’re already mixed, and they just dumped gold rum on top of them. Not typical for a resort. The bartenders were knowledgeable, the kitchen staff was great, and the rooms were clean. But I will not stay here again.
Cars are a major problem
Can you please get rid of the cats. Could the hotel staff please quit feeding the cat.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Birthday Experience at RIU Negril! 🇯🇲🎉
From the moment we arrived at RIU Negril, we felt welcomed! We were greeted with a welcome drink, and the check-in process was smooth and easy. The staff throughout the resort were extremely friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help.
Our room was very nice, and we had a swim-up room, which I absolutely loved! Housekeeping came every day, and I have to give a BIG shoutout to both the housekeeping and grounds crew. 👏🏽 This resort was kept SPOTLESS! They worked constantly to keep everything looking beautiful. Our swim-up pool was cleaned at least three times a day, which really impressed me. You could definitely see the amount of work the staff puts into maintaining the property.
The food was good, with a wide variety of options, so there was always something to choose from. There was also a great selection of drinks throughout the resort. 🍹
I also have to recognize the waiters and waitresses because their service was exceptional! Even with so many other guests in the restaurants, they always made sure we were taken care of. They were so attentive that they made you feel like you were the only guests in the restaurant. They never missed a beat! Whether you needed another drink, something cleared from the table, or anything else, they were right there. That level of service definitely stood out and made our dining experience even better. 👏🏽❤️
Another thing I really appreciated was that although RIU Negril is a family-friendly resort, there was also an adults-only area where you could sit by the pool, relax, and enjoy some peace and quiet away from the noise when you wanted to. It was nice having the best of both worlds — you could enjoy all the activities and energy of the resort and then escape to a quieter area when you were ready to unwind.
There are also plenty of amenities right on the property, including a spa, gym, shops, and gift shop, so you really don't have to leave the resort unless you want to. There was always something available to do or somewhere to relax.
And speaking of entertainment, that was definitely one of the highlights of our stay! I have to give a GIGANTIC shoutout to Pineapple, Cin Cin, and the entire entertainment team! 👏🏽🔥 They were AMAZING! They were energetic, fun, engaging, and really interacted with the guests instead of just putting on a show.
All of the parties were great, but the BEACH PARTY was my absolute favorite! 🏖️🔥🔥 The entertainment team DID THEIR THING! The energy, music, dancing, and atmosphere were everything. They knew how to get everyone involved and keep the party going.
I celebrated my birthday while staying at RIU Negril, and I truly had a BLAST! 🎂🥳🇯🇲 The staff and entertainment team helped make my birthday trip one I will always remember.
For everything that is included — the accommodations, food, drinks, entertainment, activities, amenities, service, and beautiful resort — I also think RIU Negril offers GREAT VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY! You get so much included in your stay, and we definitely felt like we got our money's worth.
Overall, we had an amazing experience: great staff, excellent service, a spotless resort, good food and drinks, a beautiful swim-up room, plenty of amenities, areas for both families and adults to enjoy, and an entertainment team that knows how to have a GOOD TIME!
