This historical complex is affords a sophisticated style and takes travellers back to its English colonial roots. The hotel lies just 12 km from the crafts market and approximately 15 km from the centre of Montego Bay where a diverse selection of shops are to be found. The airport is 8 km away.
The resort lies nestled amidst around 160 hectares of gardens, flowers and wetland reserve, beside an almost 2 km long stretch of private sandy beach. Offering superb services and a decidedly different take on luxury accommodation, guests will always find something to do here. The luxury establishment is always the first choice of celebrities, dignitaries and royalty. All guests to the hotel are treated equally however, with one exception: children, for whom there is a children's centre, a games room with supervised activities and babysitting. The business centre provides business visitors with high-speed access to the Internet (for an additional fee). A total of 398 rooms are available and standard facilities include a lobby with a 24-hour reception desk, a hire safe and a currency exchange desk. There is a selection of shops to browse and a hairdressing salon; fees apply for use of the laundry service and those arriving by car are offered car parking. Dining options include 6 different restaurants and bars: the Seagrape Terrace with delicious Jamaican cuisine is complimented by island and dance music. Just off the hotel's golf course is the Sugar Mill, which is open for dinner only and features specialties such as chicken-pineapple stew with turmeric-passion fruit sauce.

The staff will become family ! The accommodations, the attention to detail , the yummy cuisine & location are ideal for a much enjoyable & fun filled vacation.
Half Moon has bounced back from the devastation caused by the Hurricane of October 2025 . They are still working & improving on the impressive task to get back to normal. We have stayed here many times since 2005 . A wedding celebration of our daughter & son in law in 2024 ; was the icing on the cake to seal our love & appreciation for a well run resort !
Our September stay included many special moments. We stayed at the Eclipse Estate suites & plus 2 nights in the Eclipse king rooms .
The Eclipse section of the resort is at the center of dining , beach , spa & recreation . The property is gorgeous , exceptionally clean & such great staff . The food is excellent. A must : Try the Friday night BBQ too .
This is an exquisite property. You will fall in LOVE with all it offers & indulges. No regrets.
Our stay was extended: due to 2 canceled flights on original departure day and the proceeding day . The HM reception team helped with securing additional accommodations & back n forth transport from the airport several times .
BIG thanks to team Reception & logistics on handling this glitch in our travel plans . They enthusiastically came to our rescue.
The Half Moon staff is like family ; Our Eclipse butlers Dean & Brenton & Elion were exceptional. They handled dinner reservations, activities, odds & ends & anything we needed . BRAVO , such a wonderful addition to our experience!

In closing: The beaches & landscaping & property are beautifully maintained , stunning & thriving. The Attentions to detail is amazing!
Next time will be try the new villas !!! Great family friendly accommodations .

This time when we went there, we noticed that some part of the hotel was half shut down because a hurricane had hit and they had to do some maintenance. We hope they recover from this problem soon.
Our favorite place!
My husband and I visited Half Moon for the second time, and it was fabulous. The hospitality is unmatched—be sure to request Elian and Dean! Half Moon is such a special place, not only because of the gorgeous accommodations and views, but the staff are just so wonderful. We love it here and hope to be back very soon!

As incredible as the resort itself is, the staff truly made this experience magical. Whether it was house keeping, the bar staff, the restaurants, the bellman, or the front desk, everybody had a smile and made us feel incredibly welcomed.
Celebrated 33rd Wedding Anniversary at Eclipse
We had an incredible stay at Half Moon in Jamaica. The resort is beautifully maintained, the rooms are comfortable and spacious, and the staff went above and beyond to make our visit special. The food, amenities, and beachfront location were outstanding. We can't wait to return!
