Ups, ups and some downs
We really enjoyed our stay, room was fine, some minor issues, but not worth the fuss. Our cold water was out for 1 day, but this was sorted out and a good response. The TV was also down, reported it and staff were very responsive. Food in the buffet was good, but the popular food ran out too quickly.pools and beach was top notch.

DO NOT BOOK RIU HOTELS.
Worst experience EVER. Four (4) full days without running water. Toilets didn’t flush and Management hid in their office for ALL 4 DAYS. NO ANNOUNCEMENTS. NO MEETINGS. NO IDEA WHEN THE ISSUES WOULD BE FIXED.
With no water, how were staff washing their hands? Disappointed at every turn when no Management would speak to me. Our trip was horrible, people admitting to peeing in pools.
Staff were overwhelmed because Management wouldn’t address the mob in the lobby.
A burst pipe can happen. The problem was the denial. Riu stated after the media showed people speaking up about the sheer number of people IT WAS A SMALL NUMBER IMPACTED AND FIXED IMMEDIATELY “.
DO MOT BOOK RIU AT ALL. THE MANAGEMENT DOESN'T CARE, BOOKED HUNDREDS IN WHILE ANGRY MOB WAS YELLING IN THE LOBBY. GREEDINESS AT ITS FINEST.
Not worth it
0/5 Roaches in room, phone inoperable, toilet was broke. Outlets inoperable. several request submit via app to fix and address issues. It has been 5 days issues have not been addressed. Need Room phone for disable veteran to communicate with other family guest in large property. Front desk laughed and said they would send someone. They have not sprayed our room for the roaches or offer to relocate us. Checked in 7/4 today is 7/8 issue still not addressed. Stay somewhere else please.

Our stay at Riu was excellent! Loved the grounds, totally enjoyed the food from the Buffet to the restaurants! The room was great, clean and bedding comfortable. The staff were very friendly and courteous and extremely accommodating. Enjoyed our trip to the Spa...excellent treatment and at a very affordable cost. The drinks were on point..pools all clean and loved the Entertainment...the Entertainment staff were marvelous 👌🏿. I'm already thinking about another stay at Riu!!
