While the resort is undeniably beautiful and well-run, embracing a stronger sense of Jamaica throughout the experience – rather than feeling like a polished but generic chain hotel – would transform a great stay into an unforgettable one. The resort could benefit from elevating its atmosphere further by incorporating more adult-only spaces. With the amount of space and potential available, creating dedicated areas for adults would allow for more high-energy fun and opportunities for guests to relax and socialise.

I recently returned from a wonderful holiday and felt compelled to share my experience, particularly in regard to the exceptional service provided by Johnoy in the gym and the classes he delivered. From the moment I attended my first session, I knew I was in capable hands.

Johnoy’s professionalism is second to none. He manages to strike the perfect balance between structured, effective workouts and an enjoyable, welcoming atmosphere. His aqua fit and aqua strong classes quickly became the highlight of my days; I genuinely looked forward to each one. The sessions were not only engaging and fun, but also challenging enough to leave me with a real sense of accomplishment.

What truly sets Johnoy apart is the energy and enthusiasm he brings to every class. He encourages everyone to join in, ensures no one feels left behind, and creates an environment where you feel inspired to push yourself whilst having a brilliant time.

Moon Palace Jamaica offers an outstanding experience for anyone seeking a luxurious and enjoyable stay in the Caribbean. The resort excels in its wide range of amenities, from relaxing pools and pristine beachfronts to a variety of well-equipped facilities that cater to both relaxation and adventure. The dining options are exceptional, with a diverse selection of food that consistently impresses in quality and presentation. Customer service is another standout feature, with staff who are attentive, professional, and genuinely committed to making every guest feel welcome.

One of the true highlights of Moon Palace is its entertainment team. They are fantastic, full of energy, and at their absolute best when delivering an authentic Jamaican experience through music, dance, and cultural activities. These moments of local vibrancy are what make a stay in Jamaica feel truly special. Brianna and Iyanla really provide add a personal touch by making sure to connect and check on guests, ensuring that they timber names and faces really make you feel valued while enjoying your stay. This is enhanced by the multitude of waiters and servers on hand that stop at nothing to make sure you always have a drink in hand. Without these teams your hotel would not be as good as it is.

Second time here this year and will deffo return.

Moon Palace all inclusive hotel is definitely somewhere to consider to stay and if you can get a good deal then value for money. However I was sadly disappointed on my return to this hotel when known as Sunset Jamaica Grande. I think the soul of the hotel is now big money corporation and this is seen in the amazing lobby and expansion that was taken place. Despite Hurricane Melissa 2025 the hotel is clean and shows minimal effects, however on closer inspection there is a lot of maintenance required for 5* rating. Likewise the rooms are small and compromised in design. If it rains check the water supply as it might be grey brown or even orange as I experienced. Clearly a maintenance issue with water filtration On a positive the staff are trying their best to provide the customer experience. There is a notable presence of "big suits" and this seemed to put some staff on their tippy toes.
Food is in abundance. Big up to the Volcano Sauce in the Jerk Hut 🔥 Facilities are great. Careful you don't get sucked in to the credits they offer. Read the small print. Nightly entertainment keeps you at the hotel but it needs refreshing. Would I go again, sadly no. Would I recommend MP - I think so - as long as you get a good deal !!!
