Our first visit to Jamaica Inn was on the evening of 24th July, when my husband and I booked dinner with drinks. During the booking process, we were informed of the evening dress code: ladies were expected to wear elegant evening attire, while gentlemen were required to wear collared shirts. On arrival, the security officer kindly checked that we were appropriately dressed, which immediately gave us the impression that this was a special dining experience. We were first seated on the beautiful cocktail terrace, where we enjoyed drinks while taking in the breathtaking views of the beach, lush gardens, and the hotel grounds. The atmosphere was peaceful, elegant, and incredibly relaxing. We were looked after by Patrice, who made our evening truly memorable. She was warm, attentive, friendly, and exceptionally helpful. Her outstanding service made us feel genuinely welcomed. We were then escorted to the dining area, where the excellent service continued. Every member of staff was professional and attentive, and the live band playing soft, relaxing music created the perfect ambience. The food was delicious, the wine was excellent, and the entire evening exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the experience so much that we immediately decided to return to celebrate our upcoming wedding anniversary. We booked a one-night stay on 31st July 2026, and the hotel kindly accommodated our request for an early check-in and a late check-out. We were extremely grateful for this thoughtful gesture, as it allowed us to make the most of our celebration. Our stay was absolutely wonderful. We stayed in Room 23, which offered stunning sea views from our private balcony. The hotel's boutique-style design gives it a unique charm, and we particularly appreciated the absence of a television in the room. It encouraged us to completely switch off, relax, and enjoy each other's company. In our opinion, Jamaica Inn is especially well suited to couples and adults seeking a peaceful retreat rather than families with young children. One of our favourite moments was simply sitting on the balcony, enjoying the spectacular views and the tranquil surroundings. We also spent time relaxing on the beach, swimming in the crystal-clear sea, and taking part in a sailing activity, which was one of the highlights of our stay. We would like to give a special shout-out to Albert and Desmond, the lifeguards who organised and led our sailing experience. They were professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and made the activity both safe and incredibly enjoyable. Another heartfelt thank you goes to Patrice, whose exceptional hospitality during our first visit inspired us to explore the hotel further and ultimately return for our anniversary celebration. We would also like to thank the management team for their kindness and flexibility in arranging our booking and accommodating our early check-in and late check-out requests. Their excellent customer service made our stay even more special. Our experience at Jamaica Inn was nothing short of exceptional. From the outstanding hospitality and beautiful surroundings to the peaceful atmosphere and excellent food, everything was first class. We will certainly be returning, and we wholeheartedly recommend Jamaica Inn to anyone looking for a relaxing, romantic, and unforgettable Caribbean getaway.
We spent a lovely 5 days at Jamaica Inn, the property was elegant and our time there was restful. But perhaps what stands out the most was the exceptional service from the Employees. Carter was an outstanding croquet mentor and he and his coworkers were extremely kind and hospitable and made us feel at home, Carter went above and beyond to make our stay truly unforgettable. I will always remember my first croquet win with Carter. (Max)
Had a wonderful time. The staff: Ash, Patrick and Samantha were great company to a single mum who needed a laugh. Stunning spot and lovely rooms, it truly was magical. The owner and her friends in the last couple of days of my visit felt off. There was an element of ego that detracted from the charm of the place. The male owner however was very friendly and welcomed guests with the knowing that we pay to be there and deserve to feel welcomed and comfortable.
Even though the staff were very friendly and accommodating to my boys, I wouldn't recommend this hotel for families. I loved the formal nature myself, but it’s difficult for children to relax and be themselves with dress codes and cocktail atmosphere. It’s a shame there’s not more options for kids in Jamaica.
We had a great time nonetheless and I’ll absolutely be back again, alone or with friends.
We spent a wonderful week at Jamaica Inn celebrating our 58th wedding anniversary. The resort and beach are beautiful, but he real appeal of Jamaica Inn is the wonderful people who attended to our every need. The Jamaica Inn team is very well trained and they execute their jobs with friendly and efficient precision. This is an "old school" establishment. They offer something that is hard to find in our era of high rise "brass and glass" resorts. Staying there took us back in time to our visits to the Caribbean in the late 70's and early 80's. From booking to checkout they know how to treat their guests. Quite simply, an extraordinary experience!!! WOW!
Very chic atmosphere, beautiful beach and sofistiquited ambiance
