Princess Senses the Mangrove

Our recent stay at Princess Senses Mangrove was filled with incredible highlights, balanced by noticeable operational shortcomings in the food and beverage department that keep it from reaching its full potential. Architecture & Design (10/10): The design and aesthetic of the property are absolutely stunning. Every corner of the resort is meticulously crafted and effortlessly instagrammable. Pool & Beach Team (10/10): Outstanding service across the board. Special recognition goes to Ella, who was constantly attentive, proactive, and continuously went above and beyond to anticipate our needs before we even asked. Butler Service (10/10): Kade and Craig were exceptional—extremely responsive, attentive, and demonstrating solid knowledge of the resort grounds and facilities. The Spa (10/10): A highlight of the stay. Excellent selection of treatments, and the massage therapists possessed flawless technique. Housekeeping (9/10): Consistent, thorough, and highly attentive throughout our entire stay. Restaurants & Service (6/10): The dining concepts lean heavily toward Asian cuisine with KA, UMAMI, and FUSION360. While the physical spaces are gorgeous, the service in the dining rooms was notably weak. Servers lacked basic familiarity with the menus, had difficulty making thoughtful recommendations, and overall service felt disengaged and uncoordinated. Bar & Cocktails (7/10): The resort features a solid foundation of spirits and premium liquor choices. However, the bartenders do not adhere to standardized pour ratios for classic cocktails. This leads to unbalanced drinks—for instance, ordering a Margarita resulted in something heavily over-poured on tequila, closer in profile to a Martini. Wine Program & Knowledge (3/10): The wine list is below entry-level across the board, even among the upgraded, chargeable bottle list. There is a severe lack of diversity in terms of producing countries, grape varieties, appellations, reputable producers, and vintages. Regarding service: The property’s sommelier was actually quite knowledgeable and professional, but clearly constrained by the weak inventory available to work with. On the floor, however, the waiting staff had zero understanding of the wine list. They were completely unfamiliar with the simple by-the-glass offerings included in the package—going as far as referring to the house Cava as "Champagne." Summary: Princess Senses Mangrove excels in its physical design, spa, and standout hospitality staff on the grounds. If management addresses staff training in the restaurants and elevates the depth and execution of its wine and beverage program, it has the potential to be a world-class resort.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Stay at Princess Senses Mangrove, Negril! 🇯🇲🌴

My friends and I spent a week at Princess Senses Mangrove and had an amazing experience! The resort is beautiful, the service was great, and the staff truly made our stay special.

A huge shoutout to our amazing butlers Glaister & Shanika for always going above and beyond, Jason at the Platinum front desk, and all the Biggie drivers who took us between Platinum and the main lobby. Everyone was so friendly — from the bartenders and coffee shop ladies to the restaurant, housekeeping, front desk staff and drivers. ❤️

We also had a late flight and needed to extend our checkout several hours. The resort gave us absolutely no issues with the late checkout, which made our last day so much easier and stress-free!

🍽️ Food: The à la carte restaurants were great, especially Kai Japanese Hibachi and Robert’s Flame. A special shoutout to Draxton from Kai (I’ll insert a picture because I may have the name wrong). I’ve been to many resorts with hibachi, and he was honestly the best yet! So friendly, bubbly, interactive and talented. Everything he cooked was fantastic — 100/10 service! 👏🏼

The buffet could definitely use improvement with more variety and options, especially for a week-long stay. However, Jasmine at the Platinum omelette station deserves a huge shoutout! She was incredibly sweet, patient, kind, bubbly and always cooked our omelettes to perfection. She showed so much love and passion every morning. 100/10 — she deserves the BEST! 🤩💞

The fruit selection could also be better, especially mango 🥭. There wasn’t always much available, but some staff members would go out of their way to find mango for us, which we really appreciated!

🍹 Areas for improvement: There should definitely be more bartenders in the MVP area at night. Often there was only one bartender serving 20+ people, creating long wait times and putting too much pressure on one person.

The washroom across from MVP also needs more attention to cleanliness. Hopefully management can address this.

Despite these few things, we absolutely loved our stay and would definitely return! I highly recommend upgrading to Platinum — it is absolutely worth the money for the extra service, butler assistance, Platinum facilities, transportation and overall experience.

Just returned from an absolutely fabulous stay at Princess Senses The Mangrove, and WOW — what a beautiful resort! 🇯🇲🌴✨

From the moment we arrived, I was impressed by how gorgeous and immaculate the entire property was. The décor throughout the resort is stunning, sophisticated and luxurious. And as someone who is completely obsessed with decadent light fixtures, I was in design heaven! ✨💡😍

We stayed in a Junior Suite in the Platinum Club, and I highly recommend upgrading to Platinum. Our room was beautifully decorated, incredibly spacious and spotless.

Now let’s talk about the SERVICE… because this is where Princess Senses truly shines! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our butlers, Liam and Dennis, were AMAZING. These two gentlemen went above and beyond every single day and absolutely spoiled us! By 8:00 a.m., our beach cabana was set up and ready with fresh towels, cold beverages waiting in coolers, and throughout the day they made sure we had drink refills, snacks and anything else we might need. 🏝️🥂

They handled all of our dinner reservations and would even escort us to dinner. Seriously… I’m not quite sure how I’m supposed to go back to normal life without a butler now. 😂😂

The staff throughout the entire resort was equally friendly, welcoming and accommodating. You truly feel like everyone wants you to enjoy your vacation.

And the FOOD! 🍽️❤️ We enjoyed every restaurant we tried, but my personal favorite was the French restaurant in the Platinum Club — absolutely delicious!

Breakfast was another highlight. The buffet was wonderful, as were the à la carte selections. Fresh juices, local yogurt and plenty of traditional Jamaican dishes made breakfast something to look forward to every morning. My personal favorite was the Ackee & Saltfish brochettes — SO GOOD! 🇯🇲

Overall, I give **Princess Senses Mangrove 5 STARS!! **
