Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa

Visited for my husband's 50th.On arrival paid for an upgrade but wasn't in the diamond area and didn't receive the upgrade offer associated with what we had paid ie butler ect Receptionist on check in that evening after a long flight was very unhelpful and not intresting in listening to me. Spent 1st night in a room at the side of the kitchen fans which was very noisy.Room was no way deluxe. 2nd day after feeling very upset went on a walk round the complex given by Ria from the vibe team. She was lovely friendly and understanding. At the end of the tour she took us to the diamond reception and advised Brandon of the issues. Within minutes our issues were sorted and we were given s new room butlers and the diamond package we paid for. If only we had received this service on original check in.

Brandon was amazing and continued to keep contact throught the holiday to make sure we had a better experience and everything was ok .He always had time and a smile to share. Had it not been for Ria snd Brandon im sure the whole trip would have been so disappointing. We were given 2 butlers Lindon and Edson. They looked after us managed resturant bookings room service sprayed down our rooms and did the evening turn down. They kept in regular contact and answered any questions and supported us through our stay.Even on his birthday Edson still went the extra mile and looked after us. Although not out Butler Quaver was absolutely wonderful he had good chat and always made time to say hi and get us a cheeky drink.All 3 butlers true gentleman.

Food for us was really good.Although room service was inconsistentand often wasnt availablearrived over an hoir early snd meals were missing, until we used our butlers rather than the app. .When I mentioned to Edson I liked really spicy food he spoke to Sherrick in the Indian and did me an extra spicy shrimp vindaloo. The service that evening from sherrick was excellent another gentleman Who had attention to detail and went the extra mile. Breakfast at the Italian was always a lovely experience and been served by Madonna for breakfast an at nibbles too was always great.Madonna always had a smile to share as did Devon.

The Vibe team... Ria as I previously stated was a little diamond. Also Miracle was fab, always up for a chat and to share stories about her little sausage dog and life on the island. Big shout out to Shandy "what a guy, what a voice". He totally needs a session on entertainment what an amazing Tom Jones ! He belted out some fantastic tunes and did any cocktail you asked for !!! A big asset to the bar team and such a friendly polite person Who took pride in his wotk. The hotel is clean well appointed and close to the airport. The majority of the staff are fantastic but unfortunately theres a few whodon't seem to care or deliver the diamond experience. They offer the ultimate luxurious experience but unfortunately the standardisn't there yet. Service can be inconsistentI'm afraid which is a real shame. The rooms are nice but no more luxurious than more 5 star hotels I've visited. To be honest the room are just the standard you would get in Turkey or Egypt who do not profess to be pure luxury. The people made the visit but place has lots of room for improvement . It was still a lovely resort to visit its just not quite the luxurious experience they claim. The drinks and cocktails are really good quality and all branded. The guys who did the sailing on the beach was also fantastic so professional and understanding with nervous guests. Overall the hotel definitely has lots of plus points. Enjoyed the stay from day 2 but didn't get the wow factor. The beaches and pools are very clean and maintained to a good standard.

Terrible service room was not ready got my room at night was told when I got there it was not clean .My friend checked in her room and someone was still there .Upgrade my room gave me a butler and could not find one to carry my bags so I walked there my self .They apparently dont have enough staff .Another person staying there turned on water in his room and it was brown madness .First last and never again My kids wanted to go to the pool when we land i had to open up my suitcases in the lobby so they can get there bathing suit madness .

I met Taneshia and she was very engaging and a great example of the service we have received.
