This was our fifth visit to what has now become our favourite Caribbean destination. Over the last 25 years we have visited many of the Caribbean islands and love them all, however Grenada and more specifically Spice Island has become our standout favourite, the location, the hotel and its staff are everything we look for in a vacation. Thank you to every member of staff for making our vacation perfect, see you later this year.
We’ve stayed at this beautiful hotel five times over the last few years for a reason, its everything we look for when considering a vacation, location, hotel size, the property itself, the ambience and of course the wonderful staff. After travelling to the Caribbean for more than 25 years, Spice Island ticks all the boxes for us as a couple, we’re returning in October for a couple of weeks and look forward to yet another dose of total chill out time in Sea Grape 18 if it’s ready !!!!!!! Thank you to each and every member of staff who made our stay perfect. J&C. D London
We traveled to Spice Island Resort for total relaxation for 6 days. The beach was beautiful, with clear water and gorgeous sand. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was super clean with comfortable beds, soft linens and towels. The food was great some days, not-so-great other days (we were all-inclusive). Breakfast was monotonous - the menu never changed. The biggest problem was unknowingly we were there during their Carnival. Weirdly enough, the flight attendant on our flight warned us about this, which is the first we heard about it. What was meant to be a relaxing vacation was not. The bars/resorts down the beach were noisy every day. There was a party boat just offshore down by Umbrellas (local bar) that played VERY loud, obnoxious music every day - on our last day they started at 9 a.m! One day the Coast Guard came by and the party boat moved way down the beach which was very appreciated, but that was only one day. The music was very loud and the boom-boom-boom of the bass and drums drove us crazy. Couldn't listen to the ocean. All beaches on Grenada are public so every day we had local people hanging out on the beach directly in front of our room so there were no spots left for us in the shade. I don't know if this was because of Carnival or if this happens year-round. We may be back to Grenada but will look for a quieter spot.
We have stayed here multiple times and really liked it, but given the current prices I can’t see us returning. Too bad, there are other options with better value for money.
Where do I begin? This place is not great it’s not good .. it’s exceptional. I’ve stayed in some amazing hotels but I think this one wins. It felt like a personalized experience , truly an intimate one. All the staff greeted me by name, and I felt very welcomed and embraced. My room was stunning ! I mean being just a few steps from the ocean , you can’t beat that. Mr Fabian , I must say he is an integral part of this place. He checked up on me my entire day and unfortunately, I had a small hiccup when I chose to leave this hotel to meet with friends at another location and he was wonderful and guiding me back to this hotel and I was able to get my same room! let’s talk about the food. overall service was 10 out of 10 food 10 out of 10 drinks 10 out of 10 cleanliness 10 out of 10 Every meal I had was absolutely delicious and fresh! if you come to Grenada, you must stay here!!! There is no other option
