Inspired by friends, good times, an exclusive waterfront location, breathtaking views, first class concierge and high levels of service, this property offers a truly unique Boutique hotel experience in the heart of historic English Harbour, Antigua. Located 30 minutes drive from the Capital, St. Johns and V.C. Birds International Airport. Ideally situated on a small private beach adjacent to the and the Caribbean's premier yachting center, in Falmouth Harbour, the hotel also offers many entertainment options within walking distance, including some of the island's most popular bars and restaurants. Contemporary Caribbean architecture and sleek European styling have been thoughtfully integrated to create the unique combination of comfort and luxury with a chic and cool urban vibe that is the defining signature of this hotel.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Very friendly staff. Great location near to bars and restaurants with lovely harbour views from both room and from restaurant. Very poor tv service in room.
Whilst the rooms were excellent, there were a lot of steps to get to the room and then either to the road or to the restaurant. As my partner has less mobility, this was a minor issue. The staff were excellent, friendly and the staff on reception could not have been any more helpful. The restaurant was good as were the staff and the food. Overall, we would not hesitate to return and to recommend to friends.
We had a wonderful time at South Point Antigua! We stayed in one of the three two-bedroom penthouse apartments and it was even more lovely than we had hoped it would be. The apartment was spacious, clean and equipped with everything we needed and the views from our balcony were to die for. The pool area, while not huge, was never busy and was well-maintained. The hotel restaurant provides pool service to the pool area on request. There were additional Sun loungers on the small beach as well as kayaks and paddle boards for the use of guests. You can kayak easily to Pigeon Point beach from the hotel. The hotel restaurant was wonderful. We loved the complimentary breakfast - the homemade banana bread is delicious and the banana pancakes were also a favourite of mine! We had a sushi platter for lunch on a couple of days and it was divine. Dinner was also excellent and on three evenings during the week, the hotel bar area has live music. The bar and restaurant service is fantastic. The hotel is also ideally situated for local restaurants, nightlife and attractions such as Pigeon Point beach and Nelson’s Dockyard with Galleon Beach and Shirley Heights only a 10 minute taxi ride away. We had the most amazing time and I wouldn’t hesitate recommending South Point to anyone thinking of staying in the English Harbour area.
We chose this accommodation to have a location that enabled us to experience the atmosphere of Falmouth; the yachts, the people, the restaurants, and nightlife. It is a great location and English Harbour is just a short walk away with a minimarket close by too. Arrival was very friendly and efficient, and the location is just half an hour or so from the airport. Checked in and on the way to the room in 10 minutes with a rum punch in hand. Perfect! Our room was first floor so quite a few steps to negotiate. The room is very well air-conditioned and in reasonable decorative order. However, it is very sparsely furnished and equipped, and the furnishings are very tired. The feel was that somebody had just moved out and taken everything with them but the essentials. Quite possibly the case as most rooms are privately owned. Picture hooks on the walls but no pictures, very few kitchen accessories and very cheap, worn furniture combine to kill the appeal of what could easily be a very pleasant environment. That said, the service of the room was excellent, as were all the staff with whom I have had contact, without exception. We would return, but the value could be increased substantially with attention to detail and at very little cost. I would ask for information on the precise room allocated before booking. The beach is small but nice and the pool area is well kept and a good location. No poolside service but the bar is nearby. Broken shower that should be fixed by now! Finally, the restaurant is superb! It makes the all-inclusive option very good value. Catherines, just up the road, is also superb, but I would recommend this over Catherines for location and fine dining. All in all, a good choice if you want a change from a purely beach holiday but needs some attention to detail then it could be a great 4/5 star hotel.
Ended up here as last minute, atmosphere was great and a lovely venue. Staff were attentive and polite. We ordered popcorn shrimp which was amazing and the sushi platter was 10/10. Fish was so fresh and sushi was delicious, only thing I would note is that the sushi rolls were slightly smaller than I expected. Would definitely come back here again was a very classy night with great food
