I had an amazing stay at Hawksbill Resort in Antigua! If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful, and relaxing getaway, this is the perfect place. The resort has a laid-back atmosphere that’s great for unwinding, but what truly made my trip unforgettable was the incredible staff.
I had a rough start to my vacation, and the staff completely turned things around. Their kindness and genuine hospitality made all the difference.
A special thank you to David at the bar by the main beach, who always greeted me with a smile and made sure I never had an empty drink in my hand. Sackieno and Fenton were also so warm and welcoming—they kept me laughing and made me feel right at home throughout my stay.
But one person stood out just a little more—Dr. Kush! From the moment he noticed I wasn’t quite myself, he made it his mission to put a smile back on my face. Whether it was taking me out on the jet skis or just hanging out on the grill, he made sure I experienced the real Antigua. He was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing his beautiful country. Thanks to him, I got so much more than a resort vacation—I got an authentic local experience.
If you’re visiting Antigua and looking for something fun to do, I highly recommend booking with Dr. Kush. You won’t regret it! And if you do, tell him Reyna sent you.
I have to say, when I’m looking for the very best in Caribbean peace, tranquility, and stunning views, Hawksbill Resort is without a doubt my number one destination for relaxation.
I have now visited over five times, and every single visit has been just as spectacular, warm, and memorable as the last. From the kind, courteous, attentive, and genuinely welcoming staff to the beautiful beaches and breathtaking views in every direction, Hawksbill continues to deliver an unforgettable experience.
And the food? Absolutely delicious Caribbean cuisine, along with some traditional familiar favorites, making it easy to enjoy the best of both worlds.
From the beautiful infinity pool to the gorgeous, rock-free beach near the lunch area, Hawksbill is truly a top-tier destination for anyone looking to experience the beauty, warmth, and tranquility of the Caribbean.
Thank you to the entire Hawksbill staff for always doing such an amazing job and making every visit so special. I look forward to returning again and again! 🌴🌊☀️❤️
If your looking a laid back Caribbean stay in Antigua look no further than the Hawksbill Resort with its stunning beaches and great food in the restaurants. Our garden bungalow with a sea view was dated but spotless, top class air condition, T.V. and mini bar restocked daily. Staff in the bars, restaurants and housekeeping all excellent and genuinely friendly ,some of the best ever. Mostly used the buffet at nights and the a la carte a few times but the highlight was P D,s The Great House. Its small and needs to be booked but the grilled food is delicious and built right on the waters edge for picturesque photo opportunities. Loved to relax on one of the four beaches during the day taking advantage of the all inclusive drinks followed by a tasty meal in the evening and the entertainment. Guests can book trips outside the buffet restaurant which we did three, Shirley Heights, Stingray City and Wadadli Cats. Thank you Hawksbill Resort for an unforgettable experience.
We had a lovely stay at Hawksbill Resort. The location is absolutely perfect – quiet, peaceful and surrounded by idyllic beaches. If you're looking for a relaxed, low-key Caribbean escape rather than a busy, lively resort, this is an excellent choice. The entertainment is understated, which suited us perfectly.
The hotel itself is a little dated and looking tired in places, with some areas feeling a bit crumbly. Our room was basic but comfortable. The bathroom had chipped tiles and was old-fashioned, but there was always plenty of hot water, the air conditioning worked brilliantly, the fridge was well stocked, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Being so close to the sea was a real bonus. Housekeeping occasionally forgot to leave clean towels, but overall we felt the accommodation reflected the budget-friendly price and we were perfectly happy with it.
The food was generally very good. Lunch choices were a little limited, but everything we tried was tasty. Dinner offered much more variety, and the themed evenings were particularly enjoyable. The food could have been hotter at times, although that's fairly common with buffet dining. The restaurant staff were attentive and welcoming.
The drinks were excellent, especially the freshly made cocktails, and the bar staff were always friendly.
Overall, Hawksbill offers fantastic value for money. Its stunning setting, beautiful beaches and relaxed atmosphere far outweigh the hotel's dated appearance. We'd happily return.
Stayed for a week seemed like just the perfect amount of time spent at the resort possibly could've stayed longer. All of the bartenders and staff were very pleasant. If you get a chance to go on the Hobie Cat with Gerald it's a great experience. The pool was very beautiful and relaxing never had an issue finding a place to sit. We took the kayaks out and that was a fun time. We also went out on the jet skis and that was a fun experience. The transfer from airport to the resort is provided to you free of charge. If you are booking directly with the resort that was a big plus. Overall, a great experience if you're looking for a laid-back atmosphere if you're looking for a place to party party party loud music and a bunch of young people this isn't it, but it is a very relaxing resort. Low key!
